I doubt it'll be a direct re-hash of Izzet vs. Golgari, and/or that they'll put that much value in there (Decay, Ooze, and Deathrite alone would be twice the Missurp). Maybe Azorius or Dimir or mono-blue though? I dunno, what was Jace's personality like in the RTR books?

Sadly it won't happen. U/B = evil and therefore the "face" of magic cannot be it. Hence why they created Ashiok so they have no reason to ever make U/B Jace.
Nnnnnnnnnno.
Jace has never been anything but mono blue.
Jace's shtick was teetering on the line between black and white. He could easily be printed as U/B or U/W if the setting called for it. But yes, his core is generally mono-u. But when every one of his cards (except his original) was a u/b card masquerading as a mono-u one it's easy to get confused.

The fact that this guy also did Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, invalidates any of the criticism about the quality of his art. It's one of the best arts printed for Magic EVER.

How doany of the abilities on his different versions not fall well within mono-U on the color pie?
For architect, power minuses (without toughness minuses) have been used in U for years, and the other abilities are too similar to existing mono-U cards (Fact or fiction and Bribery come right to mind) to them consider anything else.
Jaces focus is milling, but considering how many mono-U mill cards there are, versus mono-B mill cards, that is not close to UB/ANA]inanytHinGotHERtHESHoE-HoRninGtHEydidtofitmillinGintoaGUildfoRRavinCa.THEREaRE105CaRdSWHoSEoRaClEtExtinClUdEd">"HiSoRHERliBRaRyintoHiSoRHERGRavEyaRd">"oftHEmaREmono-[MANA]U

The issue is one of design space. Certain color combinations have little to none of it so when a card can be made of a certain combination it should. At least that's MaRo's stance. I just question the double standard when it comes to U/B's obscenely limited color pie.
when a card can be made of a certain combination it should.
Normally I would agree with this if the card is in a block with a bit of multicolor identity or support, but absolutely not with planeswalkers. I feel like the colors on planeswalkers are more about their identity and loyalty rather than a mechanical necessity. See ajani vengeant, Tezz, AoB, and flipped garruk; the color differences from their originals is a way to tell you that the characters have CHANGED in some way since their first iteration. Jace is still jace and nothing has really happened to make us think he would change colors. Jace is BLUE, son. His 4 iterations being all blue is wizards way of pushing that fact in your face.

Then they need to print versions of him that don't scream "Dimir". Currently the only one that does that is Architect of thought (minus the ulti). Mind Sculptor is a 100% u/b card and that is the most Jace walker we have.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Mind Sculptor is possibly the most mono-U card ever printed. The first three abilities are Spin Into Myth (minus the Time Ebb effect, obviously), Brainstorm, and Unsummon. The fourth is some unholy fusion of Paradigm Shift, Mana Severance, Selective Memory, and Parallel Thoughts. It's obscenely overpowered, super expensive, and defended as "perfectly fine, get over it noobs" by every mono-blue control fanboy on this site. What about that DOESN'T scream mono-U? I'll give you Memory Adept and even 1.0, though those both fit within mono-blue's spectrum, but Mind Sculptor? No way.

Um, what?
+2: Look at the top card of target player's library. You may put that card on the bottom of that player's library.
Fateseal is a completely blue ability and only exists on blue cards.
0: Draw three cards, then put two cards from your hand on top of your library in any order. Brainstorm - literally a blue card on its own.
-1: Return target creature to its owner's hand. Unsummon - literally a blue card on its own.
-12: Exile all cards from target player's library, then that player shuffles his or her hand into his or her library.
Library hijinks/mill? The exiling and shuffling part are definitely straight up blue with regards to library and mill can be either mono blue or UB.
The only thing that is even remotely black is his ult, and that's clearly justifiable in mono blue, too. The rest are literally pure blue abilities. There isn't a single ability on any of Jace's incarnations that aren't similar to/the same as other mono-blue cards. Not one of them is any more at home in B or UB than it is in U.

I would believe that if they had not spent the last few years killing off design space options.

lol but it would be interesting to see how wizards could pull off a five color walker

Yeah probably not going to happen unless wizards goes all DC comics and changes their Jace into something more manly say like....

As do I. Igor is one of my favorite Magic artists, and this Jace art has really grown on me. Especially after seeing the full, uncropped version.
I have problems with Jace in that version, in that I can’t tear myself away from looking at Vraska!
