Yet another "Sliver" with no Sliverlike features. This is a disappointing return for Slivers, to say the least.
It's weird that small Slivers are referred to in the flavor text as "thrums", especially considering that Slivers' card names always include "Sliver". I guess potential Sliver flavor text has been mined dry, so they need new things to talk about.
God I really don't understand what possessed Wizards to make Slivers so freakin' generic in their art that you can't even tell them apart from other iconic Magic creature types now.
theyve come to take over the multiverse. They will do what yawgmoth tried.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
I would so pick this in limited. I might not first pick it, but I feel it could be pretty high on picks. This dude is good even if you have minimal other slivers in your deck. a 6/6 for 6 by itself is not bad.
Sweet.
I can replace Collective Blessing with this in my Overlord deck.

Of course Wizards is making cards for new players with enhanced strategy and visual. Hope to see compatible lands. In fact, we need some necessary reprints like fetch lands and other mandatory cards that difficult new players coming to the game because those cards are becoming almost competitive decks too much expensive...
i heard slivers had a clearly defined artistic style that makes them all uniform, oh hey guys lets reintroduce them with another clearly defined artistic style thats different from the original. now here's a tree.
I'm sorry guys, but I'm actually seeing the Sliverness on this one. Just look at it alongside the other spoiled Green Slivers. And it does have the "dreads", but they're just so small in comparison to the massiveness of this Sliver.

Someday, I will own all of the dragons. All of them. 43/111, approximately 39% complete. Over a third done.
(calling it now; there will be a cycle of Legendary dual lands with Basic Land types in Theros block)
... AAAAAAAAND I was wrong
Slivers have castes or something now? What is a "thrum?"
It may be something simmilar to a worker ant rather then a soldier ant? something along those lines. A weak role of one type of the "hive" compared to a stronger one.
It's not. At least not according to Dictionary.com. I looked at this artwork and thought it was an Elemental. I think they are going too far out there with the whole Slivers adapt to the things around them. They did that before but maintained a distinctive look. Now, they are just generic looking Magic creatures.
I'm waiting for the next fake valroz sliver, where someone makes up a card, and no one can tell if its real or not.
It would be funny now seeing as slivers are all over the place in art. They could do a blue or black one and no one would be able to be "thats not a sliver..."
Meh. Not really. Unless your the ONLY person drafting slivers at your table. Pro tip: You won't be. People are stupid.
Dude are you kidding now that Slivers only help their controllers this is a first pick in a lot of M14 x3 drafts.
Worst case for this card in M14 limited is its a 6/6 for 6 vanilla that pumps a few other creatures in your deck. You don't need the Sliver.dec draft deck to make this guy worthwhile.
Part of the reason Titans were amazing in limited was the 6/6 for 6 with a minor ability. I saw Sun Titan own games back in M12 and M11 limited, when he wasn't recurring a damn thing in the graveyard. If this guy even pumps 3-4 other creatures in your deck the potential there is insane. We all know Collective Blessing is a bomb in limited right? This is a more limited version but is a 6/6 on its own.

In fact, all the new sliver arts don't really look like slivers.

Like Steelform sliver. Why does it look humanoid?

Is this going to happen with every sliver? Gawd just spoil them all in one thread and let the whiners go free in there.
Big thanks to Rivenor for the sig!!
Even if you have a handful of slivers, it is still a 6/6 for 6. If you are in green, and have no other slivers, you could still play this.
