Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, that player reveals cards from the top of his or her library until he or she reveals four land cards, then puts those cards into his or her graveyard.
2/4
Assuming a standard ~24 land deck, and that the player will have drawn and played 6 lands at the point at which you start grinding them, you need to swing probably 5 times, maybe four if you're lucky and they draw 2 more of their lands while you're attacking them, in order to kill them. That doesn't seem terribly impressive. It gets a bit better in Limited, where decks run only ~17 lands, meaning that you should kill in roughly 3 swings.

Cute, glad to see they can do something so fun.... with a horribly unimaginative Guild Champion. Would much rather see the champion building off of Cipher than their unnamed sub mechanic grind. It really feels like they just changed Mind Funeral into a creature.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

Is also needs to connect, whereas Nemesis only needs to attack.
Meh... These champions just seem really boring. Ruric-Thar was intriguing, but it just went downhill from there. Don't get me wrong, they're flavorful but boring mechanic-wise.
And I faced three mill decks on Tuesday so I am NOT looking forward to this guy. Mizzium Mortars all day.

They're keeping the two best ones for last! (At least, as a Naya player, that's what I hope)
He mills heaps but man, his body is just so small. It's not a great design. I feel like someone that can mess with peoples minds should of been unblockable or had flying + intimidate.
For a vampire I was also expecting lifelink. disappointing card. Rather just play Jace to mill them out imo.
Mind funeral on a body. Doesn't seem too bad. Doesn't seem as good as Jace or Drownyard for milling, because it's easier to deal with a creature, but still sweet nonetheless. Not holding my breath on this one.
So why is this guy a 2/4, yet a cripple sitting in a chair can be a 4/4 Vigilance?
These champions make no sense.
It's the chair that grants her 4/3 at least. She's a 0/1 by herself, but that chair...fear it.

Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
Hey.. I kinda like him Just because he doesn't fit into any current decks doesn't mean he's completely terrible. Though, yeah, he's a bit overcosted, and his stats aren't the best. I was hoping for a little more out of the Dimir Champion, because he has in my opinion the best art, but you know. I'll still find a use for him somewhere
I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.

Thanks for the share. It's an interesting card but nothing particularly good or amazing.
Bets on Tajic at CMC 4 and Emmara at CMC 7?

Hmmm... There goes my theory about allied-colours champions being the better ones...

Though that does mean that he gets to laugh all the way to the bank if you somehow give him double-strike.
Completely agree. I need an awesome 4-Drop in Tajic.

Magical power is more important than physical power, apparently, and not all things are as they immediately appear. I mean, Urza is only a 1/1, right?
But he's also so damn booooooooring *YAWN*

I wish he had hexproof or something more, or at least a semi-circu ability to exile and prevent copies from being replayed
but hey, since when were the pack rares ever going to be 'that good'?

... that is the only positive thing I can say about this card. A weaker Nemesis of Reason.
