Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
Deadbridge Chant is most likely going in every edh deck that can run it. It is basically a Debtor's Knell in the right deck, that also mills you 10, amazing.
Think about how sweet Blood Baron is, when you realize that he basically protects himself from all targeted removal and can get past almost all creatures played in standard, who cares if his second ability is win more.
I think I figured out what bothers me about the Baron
It really looks like he is aimed at Standard: his protections are very relevant in Standard but in other formats not so much. Unfortunately for me I'm a casual player using the Legacy ban-list so he'll die to plenty of stuff in my meta
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
I REALLY wish that the baron was a 4 drop. In these colors, I would rather cast Obzedat at 5. I'm sorry but when your competition is that its kinda hard to stand on your own. That said, it shares Ghost Dads resiliance. It's above most red removal (Shout out to mizzium mortars, it's a still a pain), and shuts out most of the other removal in the set. The add on is completely unneeded. If you're at 30+ and they are at 10-, unless you're playing Esper, you don't really need the buff. It's a powerful card in it's own right, disregard the buff.
Imagine the chant with sire of insanity, that's probably gg more often than not, and it's in the same deck as varolz. Maybe not for standard but in block that would be very powerful.
The blood baron would be awsome without his last ability, that makes him amazing. It's going to be hard to choose between running that or obzedat though.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
What is conditional about pro-best removal in format?
I underestimated this guy at first glance, and I think for the same reason: creatures with hard-to-activate conditional abilities usually wind up in the dross box, especially if those abilities are the definition of "win more." This is just good anyway.
I actually think the 30 life/10 life clause on Blood Baron is interesting. It's referencing the bonuses found on Serra Ascendant, a white card, and on the Zendikar vampires like Guul Draz Vampire. And what is it? A white-black vampire. Neat callback.
What I DO mind is that neither the mythic nor the guild champion have anything to do with Extort. Extort is a great mechanic and it's seeing zero love. This is ridiculous.
In a battle of 5-drops Baron can block Obzedat all day. If that's relevant...:D

I have divined your fate. You shall find your nemesis, a catastrophic clash. Devastation, misery for all, the unleashing of horrible curses and ferocious powers. Ruin, such ruin that I dream each night of blessed peace, assured that the universe is in balance once more...
Blood Baron should have been a rare. It's horrible to say the least. Unless lifegain can become a viable strategy like it was back in Lorwyn block, it will occupy the dollar bin for eternity. Hell, it isn't even good in EDH, and that's saying something.

Actually, if you notice the 30/10 clause is an ode to Extort as it shows an equivalent loss from the start for your opponent as much as you would gain.
with protection from black and white though, that to me would be ridiculously overpowered. You would basically have a 10/10 flying lifelinker that is going to dodge, Azorius Charm, Orzhov Charm, Dreadbore, Putrefy, Sever the Bloodline, a Morbid Tragic Slip, Selesnya Charm, Murder, Detention Sphere, Oblivion Ring, and cannot be blocked by Vampire Nighthawk, Restoration Angel, Lingering soul Tokens, Duskmantle Seer, Angel of Restoration, Olivia Voldaren, Falkenrath Aristorcrat, and would be a 10/10 lifelinking flyer pretty consistently if you only met one of those requirements. Just as a 4/4 lifelinker who that kind of protection the Blood Baron is very very good.

Stupid Beast Within!
Still I was too harsh at first, definitely got caught up in his stupid 30/10 clause that will never happen even in my casualest of casual metas
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."

It evades a lot of removals already
4/4 evades Selesnya Charm unless it gets big
Pro from black - Murder, sever the bloodline, orzhov charm
Pro from white - Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Condemn
What do you want for a guy that would literally avoid most of the kill spells in EDH and standard?
Also please name 1 instant spell that could rid of it. I bet none.
