Council of the Absolute is a BEAST

That voice is very interesting, very punishing.

That voice could get out of control way too fast. Thats one absurdly resilient bear. You burn it on their swing with nothing but a mana dork next to it, and bam it becomes 3/3 tokens that grow. They say "We're giving a tool to push the metagame", what they really mean is "we're power creeping exponentially now, and obsoleting everything that came before with our absurdities"

I love how old school Voice of Resurgence's art looks. Seems like it could have been from Legends.

More uninteresting spoilers.

We still have only seen 1 card spoiled for Dimir, and that was our champion. This is getting old.

You only get one token. The Pillar takes care of the dies trigger for Voice.

EDIT: Never mind, you get zero. Just re-read the card, and since Pillar is a sorcery neither condition gets fulfilled.

They get one token, because Pillar is a sorcery. But I see your point.

I might be jumping the gun here, but Voice might just be the best damn Bear ever printed.

Mythic seems really strong.

edit: Waiiiiit, if they doom blade Voice you get 2 tokens????? (only on your turn, so it's unlikely)

Hopefully Mortify is back too, perfect removal spells imo.

Council of the Absolute (in image gallery) is a cool callback to Grand Arbiter Augustin IV.

Actually, wouldn't Pillar kill it outright without them getting a token, because you cast it on your turn and the Voice doesn't technically die?

Voice is insane. Literally insane. I mean you get at least two creatures out of it, usually 3+. If you thought thragtusk as bad, this is much worse.
