If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
So Beck on Beck and Call is essentially a 2 CMC glimpse of nature? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Modern Elves will splash blue for Beck. It't not as good as glimpse, not by far, but it's probably still good enough.

All I want to do in standard now is ral zarek, untap, gilded lotus, tap their land and untap the gilded lotus for 6, melek. Untap, reveal sphinx's revelation on top with melek in play. Float a **** ton of mana, sphinx's revelation twice for approximately infinite cards and life.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Out of curiosity, how often is the ultimate relevant?
ral's first ability is mini-control/enables activated abilities, and the 2nd is removal. I can see this being decent since all abilities are good, but I just don't find the ultimate relevant, since by then (turn 5/6 at best?), it becomes win more (if you are losing, the walker is probably not at 7).
unless I'm totally wrong. maybe in a control deck?
Elspeth Knight Errant would like a word with you. Lilly is prob third though
She is good, but Lily offers board and hand control while Elspeth is just board. I'd say it may be a toss up, but Lily has already seen more Legacy and Modern play than Elspeth, Knight Errant as she is normally a 1 of and Lily is at least a 2 or 3 of.

Except SO much better.
You can do it for tokens,
they dont need to be cast,
And they can be for your opponents!

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

Notably, beck//call has one allied and one enemy guild on it. It is bant colors, but the common denominator is blue, not white.
Since the ten split cards in dissension were 5 pairs of allied colored guilds and 5 pairs of enemy colored guilds, I think we can project that there are ten rare splits each pairing one allied and one enemy guild together.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

My Jhoira deck just got a lot more fun! Go go good Izzet!
I want to dismiss Ral Zarek but the potential for 5 extra turns is too good to ignore. His first ability is interesting for pre or post combat. The second ability is kind of a planeswalker staple and neither good or bad. Ral could have been alot worse. What if he had two plus abilites or even the elusive 0 ability? The design is smart and I hope people give this card a chance.
Melek is probably my favorite card of this whole block so far. Weird, check. Wizard, check. Izzet, check. Murder, check. Seriously, a cool card that will be played in Commander or as the Commander.
Split cards...I actually forgot they were in the first Ravnica block. >.< I'm happy they're in this one. Fuse is a sort of Entwine, which is something I'd wanted for the first cycle, and I'm interested to see what applications it has.
Deputy of Acquittals is just right. A bear that bounces your dudes and replaces the body. I'm brewing a Bant monstrosity and this seems like a useful cog in any number of decks.

All the cards look good, Deputy of Acquittals is especially sweet
Liliana, JAOT and Karn were all around $50 at certain stages.
Also, someone mentioned a card called Beck/Call? Where is this?
708th at Grand Prix: Toronto 2013
Modern: U/R Delver, RUG Scapeshift, Pod
Standard: Jeskai Tempo
Legacy: Dredge, Burn
Pauper: Mono-U Delver
EDH: Ghave, Token Master
Liliana has probably overtaken Elspeth knight errant in recent days.
-WU
-2/2
-Human
-Flash
-Option to return a creature to the hand, either to keep CA against removal or to reuse ETB.
I don't think it fits in Delver since the creature list is pretty tight, but it's a very impressive common.

Liliana has been $50 and trending upwards for a few weeks now (SC can't keep them in-hand/stock for $60)...
But I agree Ral is just "ok." Like most PW it depends on the meta and support cards.
Who knows we might see elf ball combo in Standard.
