Well, I was looking for a finisher for my Standard Pillow Fort deck that wasn't shut down by Witchbane Orb. This is that. Easily my favorite card of this set, even if it's not the greatest for Constructed.

Foreigning out SI, currently 33/75. The only thing better than a T1 kill is doing it with cards no one has ever heard of and/or can't read. If anyone has any of the usual pieces, PM me. I'm willing to buy/trade.
Yes, I said that. But having two overcosted guys and an enchantment for rares so far is a bit sad. I mean, Azorius had the Revelation and their rares still hold water. And their Charm is close to Boros one. Boros one is better, but the Azorius one is a great tempo card.
I agree with the assessment of their Rares as disappointing,
but that unfortunately seems to be a "theme" of the set-
Simic and Orzhov Rares are pretty bad, too
I have hope there are still some great surprises for each guild (:boros: included ),
but I'm bracing myself for disappointment.

Oh well... at least Dimir is turning out well.
To be fair, most of RTR rares are pretty bad. I would say only Azorius and Golgari got more then two solid Rare/Mythic. I think one or two good constructed cards is the norm and i would say Boros already has 1.5 cards (Aurelia's Fury is cool and Aurelia, Warleader is half playable).
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.

As a person whom disliked the guilds in this block during the first Rav, I disagree. Both the Simic and Orzhov leaders are epic mythics, Mystic Gen and Biomass may be costly, but in a flash deck with Gyre Shammy they could shine. And High Priest is possibly one of the best deterrent cards I've seen in awhile, give him regen or high defense and he'd be down right nasty.
That being said, I'm sure the next 100 cards will have some mind blowers. And hopefully....an eclipse.

Who replaces subjects, such as 'I' or 'he,' as in "Who/He posted first." Whom replaces direct objects, such as 'him' or 'her,' as in "Whom should I give credit to // I should give credit to her." Your sentence reads "Him disliked the guilds." =)
I know there's an emoticon for 'The more you know' somewhere around here...
On topic, Staticaster laughs at this card. Not to say the card is bad, but Staticaster's already a fun card, will see play if this does.
Another entry in the fine tradition of larding mana costs with extraneous colors -- what, pray tell, is so hasty about white? (outside of Time Spiral-type blocks, anyhow)

Why do most of these cards seem like we need people to fight for as being good? Something like abrupt decay or deathrite shaman are easy to see that they are great. Where are those kind of cards in this set?
Funny that you mentioned Deathrite Shaman because I remember it being considered mostly unplayable because it doesn't do anything on its own.
Incredible token generator for Boros. Do I wish it were even less? Yes. However, it feels balanced for the power it can produce after it takes off. I love it. Boros for evah!
This failed to blow me away. It's a fantastic effect but probably a turn too late in constructed. It could certainly put a lot of pressure on an opponent find an answer.
I doubt that this is constructed playable unless it gets something that synergizes well with it in the block. Is going to be an absolute bomb in limited!

Gnarly, do I get points off for bad penmenship as well? Ty for the lecture, but I would get that OCD checked out. Did you at least read what followed or did you just leap into action over a display of bad granola?

So this is what they meant by "Each guild has a fast and a slow gameplan". A super-Bitterblossom that overwhelms with 1/1 dudes certainly sounds like a nice slow RW gameplan to me. But of course, everyone can only think of RW as being a no-lategame aggro, even though both colors are often played in control variants.
Anyways, the only ways to negate this card is by Izzet Staticaster and stuff like Austere Command. Good luck outrunning it or having an enchantment removal in hand before it gets to three counters.
This may be my first-ever negative post about a limited preview.
As a limited-only player, I feel like this is going to be too slow for limited. It is certainly not the Pack Rat of GTC, since a single enchantment-kill spell will stop the problem.
Interesting. Flavorful. Probably would have been acceptable at 2RW. Would have been Pack Rat at 1RW.

EDIT: Did some more thinking. 5/5 for 5 is sort of the power level we expect in today's environment. You plop this down on turn 5 and you don't hit a comparable powerlevel until turn 8. Do we really expect Boros to go to turn 8?
Granted, it is bonkers on turn 9+...but that's turn nine.
No aggro deck will want this. That's this card's biggest problem: it's colors. If this was, say B/W, or any control combination, I could see this being a strong sideboard option vs. control.

That is why I am playing this card to hell if every other Casual and Professional Magic Player tells me it is a 0-star. The art is ENOUGH REASON.
I was Dimir going into Spoilers. Then I converted to Simic over that Busted Quirion Dryad-like Thing. Now I am Actually Definitely Sticking
with Borzhov until the Pre-Release.
I want to tap a Godless Shrine to pay the white mana cost of this card, and I want to send my army of Clone Troopers on a Cathars' Crusade after someone's Gideon, and I want to show Planeswalkers everywhere that hokey religions and ancient surrals are no replacement for a good 10,000 Legionnaires at your side! This is probably my one-and-done "Let's do something completely absolutely different" Back up card in my Kaalia Deck as well Gives me tokens to sac if nothing else!
I am probably every color-combination it is possible to be, though it's really hard to figure out what it would mean to be 4-colored....it doesn't seem logical to be 4-colored without being 5-colored.

probably wont work though as they likely run detention sphere or at least oring
America Control can be really nasty with it too, Especially if used with Aurelia's Fury

By who? Random posters?
Deathrite Shaman was not a sleeper hit, he was pegged from the start as an all-star.
Sphinx's Revelation is a better example of a card that was overlooked.
