How about "You may discard your hand, pay 5 life, rip this card, remove 3 digits from any number of target fingers you control, and concede at the end of the next end step rather than pay It Will Go Through!!'s mana cost.
Say you're playing standard, you're are playing the mirror of control your opponent plays the first Drownyard a very important card in control mirrors, now you can copy theres and you still have 2 left in your deck.
I can't think of a single EDH I've got, outside of the specifically all basics decks, that wouldn't run The Stage. It's Vesuva, only it's arguably better for EDH. Here's hoping I can crack a foil at the pre for my lone all shiny deck. It's going to be a costly foil, I'm sure.

The effect could prove so discombobulating to combo players, in particularly, they may fizzle and run away screaming. "From that day the Curse of the Plateau was upon me, and I found every hand I ever pull from a combo deck is a mulligan."

Gruul's certainly strong on the offensive, and hard to play around. It seems like the best strategy is just to try and block profitably where possible, since even if they bloodrush, it's a 1-for-1, and theoretically they'll run out of cards at the same time as you. I doubt you could play a much faster deck than gruul, though, at the very least not without some versatile removal.
So will there now be a 16 post deck? The Super Vesuva seems pretty good. Wish it didn't tap to use the ability, but it seems pretty versatile at least currently in non-standard formats.
Land is unplayable. Don't know what people are getting excited about.
It's amazing flavor wise and has alot of room to see play in casual formats. It's the kind of card that probably won't have constructed applications but it doesn't matter because it's so cool.
In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.
Slaughterhorn is reason enough to force gruul in every gatecrash limited event I play ever. Bloodrush is an absolute HOUSE in that format, and when you factor in that there are two common, UNCOUNTERABLE pump spells in there? Sign me the **** up.
Thespian's Stage is going to be putting in work somewhere. I'm not sure where yet, but it does potentially allow for all manner of shenanigans. Unlike Grove of the Guardian, this is a rare land I won't mind cracking.

Nice well I think this is much beter than Vesuva for commander. I actively cut Vesuva from lists because you dont always have something to copy when u want to hit land drops.
This comes into play Untaped and has the ability when its beter later in the game. This is probably also beter than Tectonic edge because most of the time things you want to kill are legendary lands.
Top Commander chase rare foil!
So if the land copies a second land, does it get both abilities?
Like can it be a kessig wolf run and a cabal coffers?
Nope. It becomes a copy of that land and gains the copy land ability. If you change the land it is current copying, it is no longer a copy of whatever other land it was.
I have to think the people saying the land sucks are trolling. I mean, yeah, it might never make a top 8 anywhere, but it is still fricken cool as hell.
I think the land is good. Not just EDH-good, but in general good. It offers versatility. Sure it'll be three lands tapped for it to clone, but having an extra Cavern of Souls that can change into a shockland on the battlefield would be interesting.

When it escaped, the experimenters hesitated. It would cause untold havoc, yet they wished to see it in action.

Slaighterhorn is mediocre. Will be fine in limited, but beyond that meh. And him saying not to compare it to Giant Growth is just silly.

maybe unplayable in standard
in every other format it is the nuts
Unplayable in...? Every format?
I'm guessing you mean Standard though. It has enough applications outside of standard to still generate a buzz!

So if this is played against you, copies your lands (whatever they may be) and helps your opponent win, it's not playable?
