It is kind of funny to hear people say "this sucks unless you build your deck around it". Of course you are going to build your deck around this... would you throw emrakul into any deck just because he is colorless and you might be able to play him later? Really, this has potential, at best/worst its a turn 3 mana ramp you get back (farseek is 2 and rangerspath is 4, this only would give you one land, but it might not be a forrest, and might be some other special land entirely), and best you drop a massive creature onto the field. Turn 3 thrag/thunder/primordials/guildlead (granted it would be bad for simic so early, it is never "bad").
Yes, this card is complete random in its effect, but so is drawing. Atleast for the mana you get to cast it.
edit: not to mention its simic... use this at the end of your opponents turn with refuge.
I wonder why I want to spend 4 mana every turn just to ramp or get a spell that cost 4 or less. Yes, you could use it to get an Angel of Serenity or some other ridiculous card into play, but you'd have to set it up and those kind of decks don't want to be casting those expensive cards from your hand anyway, so the deck is going to be prone to mulligans and unnecessary variance.
Overall, it's an inconsistent design. You can't manufacture a top-deck either because the card says you must shuffle before the effect takes place. Which means you're going to have dead cards in your hand sometimes, which is not good.
I just think the effect is too slow. There's gotta be something better to do than spending 4 mana to put lands into play every turn, or put spells into play that cost 4 or less (which is going to be what the bulk of your deck consists of anyway). For 4 mana, we can do better.
Really is a testament to the brokenness of the Storm mechanic that you can make something cost 2 mana less than the version with Storm and go from "one of the most broken cards ever printed" to "completely unplayable jank."

This is not a bad anything. It's exactly what it's meant to be!
It's not an inconsistent design; the design is specifically to not allow you to use this as a super obvious combo enabler, which would also require them to jack up its mana cost by a ton. I think I can confidently say that the world doesn't need more easy Emrakul cheats (or Emrakuls, for that matter).
Meh, the card is bad. I don't know what I want from it. Do we want more and more lands? So it's good that we are paying 4 mana per turn to ramp? Shouldn't we be doing something else with 4 mana? Is getting lands going to help us in any way? As Simic, what do we even hope to cast with this mana anyway? I'm at a loss.
Do we want it to play creature or spell? If we do, how many of them will be 4 or more mana? Probably not many if we're trying to run a solid and consistent deck, unless we want to have a deck that mulligans a lot by having too many high-CC cards we can't play if they end up in our hands.
If it were an instant, I may be more forgiving and may even like it, but a sorcery in Blue at 4 mana is very bad for this effect.
Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
And what happens when you don't draw Unexpected Results?
I appreciate the thought of going balls to the wall with the card, but if you don't draw it, you lose.
You may even get unlucky and get multiple lands in a row before the bomb is played too.
What if you do get your powerful dude and they just kill it with a 2cc removal spell? Then what? You only have 3 more Unexpected Results in the deck to draw, and you'll probably be dead before you draw the next one.
Even if you do get your dude on turn 4 and they can't remove it, will it be enough? Maybe not.
While it can be a fun deck, it won't be a solid deck or even a good deck.
When I looked at cards like Primeval Titan, and it gets you 2 lands and 6/6 dude for 6 mana, I have to wonder why it's good to spend 12 mana over 3 turns to get 2 lands and a dude (just as an example). It seems like WAY too much effort. And that took up turn 4 through 6, not just a turn 6 play where you could have played other stuff on turn 4 and 5.
I cannot shake the fact that there is just better stuff to do with one's mana than play this card. It's just bad.
Fun card, but it should have been 'shuffle your library, look at the top 3 cards, choose a card from those and put it into play'.
Then it would actually be playable. Still have to build your deck around it, and you can whiff, but at least if you build around it you have more chance than zilch to get it to work.
This card is designed for ramp decks. Either you ramp or throw out your fatty. It may not be a competitive ramp card, but kitchen tables are going to use it in any UG ramp deck.

Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.
Simic dude: "Let's see what this makes..."
Bolas: "Oh, hi there. I just thought I'd take a rest in this vat for a minute. Hope you don't mind. Now, do you want me to blow up Vizkopa effortlessly? Excellent..."
I know the deck sucks, but is fun to think you may win with this someday, hahah, come and give some ideas for my incomplete deck
Desolate Lighthouse and some mountains maybe? At least you can win right then rather than die when they kill your maniac. Still too slow for standard though. Or at least too inconsistent.
Edit: It's too bad there aren't any manlands in standard right now.

I know is pretty inconsistent, hahah. But there is always some way to make it work I will skip standar and jump through Modern, keeping up with the Ravnica theme
2 Hierophants + 2 double-mana lands = almost GG, lol.
Signal the clans could look up for 3 hierophants, they are kind of expensive, but who cares? Still just a fun deck, though... but a LOT funnier deck :D, I could add 4 Revives to get back the Unexpected Results in the graveyard too

Signal the clans doesn't work that way - you have to look for 3 different creatures.

Anybody have any other ideas? Thragtusk maybe?
