THe interesting thing about this spoil is why Forbes is getting a spoiler, they don't do magic at all really (I thought) and this is REALLY funny to me.
I remember them doing another spoiler before, although I can't remember which set
It's nice that WotC is reaching out to different demographics
Simic ramp anyone? This either nets you a land and buys itself back (which is awesome), hit another piece of ramp and not buy itself back (only ok), or cheat one of your late game bombs onto the board as early as turn 3. Works well in multiples and better with strong deck building and game planning. Very meta, very awesome.
I just can't help but think this is gonna hit mana dorks and lands most of the time. It's cool when you hit a huge guy one in three, maybe, but most of the time you walk away disappointed. Being able to keep casting it makes it fun though. After hitting two lands in a row, you just lose that game...

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
This is....interesting. Definitely a Johnny card if I ever saw one. I just can't help but feel disappointing that this isn't a creature, I hope Simic isn't a whole bunch of sorceries and just a few beasts.
People seem to forget if you flip over something crappy like a counterspell or llanowar elves than this goes to the graveyard. Its very cool and random and seems like an Izzet card to me. I'll play it, but I won't expect to flip over anything great.
I have to second many people. This is is very fun card. It's not totally bonkers -- it's a cheaper low use temporal aperture that you can't whiff on (as in play a land, Aperture, turn over a land, follow with facepalm) and can't really cheat on. What is truly awesome is that's a preview from Forbes. I read the link and wondered what other Forbes is could possibly be referring to.

Currently running in EDH: WUBRG: Karona - Chaos towards Divine Intervention ** WUBRG: Karona - God Tribal ** WB: Teysa - Angels, Wrath, and Return from GY ** UB: Szadek - Control and Mill ** RWU: Zedruu - Everyone Draws Cards ** BUG: Damia - Gorgon Voltron Ramp ** URG: Animar - ETB effects and Beatdown ** WUB: Sharuum - Lots of Artifacts UG: Edric - Tribal Rogues ** W: Odric - Tribal Soldiers ** B: Shirei - Shadowborn Apostle Deck ** RB: Tymaret - Kill all the things!
I love this card. Based on its flavor, and its great design... but it doesn't have much else going for it.
I'm pretty sure it won't see constructed play and I doubt there's even a half-decent kitchen table deck out there that can utilize this and not walk out disappointed half the time.
It's easy to evaluate this card wrong by considering the best possible result: you get a bomb and blow the opponent out of the water.
Truth is the most typical result is that you either get a land -- but what is that extra land going to do to you anyway if your plan is to cast really expensive stuff with this for free? -- or you hit a mana dork, or removal, or whatever cheaper spells you have in your deck.
Or are you going to run with a deck with nothing but land, these and really expensive bombs? Are you going to keep mulliganing until you get one of these in your opening hand then?
The most typical result of using this is an overcosted effect. The Timmy-minded Johnny-players will certainly rejoice for the times they'll pull their Christmasland combo off, of course. This is a fun card, but that is all.

Actually, my JohnnySpike feels that a RUG deck running this can finally cast the high cost Gruul creatures, and utilize Bloodrush to it's fullest, along with Domri Rade. So, yes, essentially a deck that will have no spells aside from this. Yet wont have to fold given a hand that doesn't have this. Though, this is merely a high hope that I have. More support for this card is still required. Plus, I need to not be relying on a T4 boss with a 2/5 Chance of hitting land.

I once met a man from Seattle
When posting he never did prattle
He was quite a nice bloke
Always quick with a joke
With Magic Cards, he always did battle.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
You don't want to play any counterspell i a deck that goees for Unexpected results. But a llanowar why not... This cards enables omniscience and the new "draw your deck" card and could see play in a combo-like deck in standard, or in an heavy cmc control deck. Unfortunately this doesn't works well with sphinx revelation, but in a deck with 23-25 lands you can accellerate and then enable a combo piece (omniscience) , or do this twice in a turn to get a lot of mana for the next play (also having this in your hand).
Or you could play a four mana Farseek, Chromatic Lantern, etc. You say that that isn't bad, except you just spent your 4th turn casting a ramp spell, while your opponent is actually casting cards that matter.

If you cast Enter the Infinite, you'll only have one card left in your library, and Unexpected Results will cast whatever card you want.
