Blind Obedience is everything everyone has already mentioned and more: Filthy. Filthy filthy control card. I love it. Can't wait to wield its power! And then quickly get bored with it. I just want to play with it once or twice to feel its effect. It's not typically my type of card as I'm more of a casual player.
This card will make tourneys quite interesting. I'd consider playing it in non-Orzhov decks. It's totally splashable.
Ooze Flux makes Simic playable in the the ooze made will trigger all your evolve creatures. Fathom Mage immediately becomes 100% better card, basically you are spending 2 mana to draw a card whenever you want and getting a new creature in the process.
This was NOT the enchantment with extort I was looking for, but it will have to do :-/. I do like that it hoses the big dumb hasty doods, but fairly certain it's more of a sideboard card in standard. I actually rather dislike that it's so cheaply effective splinter twin hate as that deck is already the fairest of the combo decks in modern and vulnerable to multiple kinds of hate already. Also, as someone else mentioned, the fact that blind obedience hoses rather than helps it's guild leader is a huge flavor fail.
Not a Kismet, but at last i cost half and have extort. If Blind Obedience made lands ETB tapped, then it would be really perfect, since orzhov don't have early acceleration, so delaying the opponents would be a good option.
At last it stops the hasty shenanigans from BR.
at first i thought ooze flux was crap, but on second look i realized that each activation lets you leech counters off ALL of your creatures at once. Which means there's a very good chance your ooze will re-evolve all your creatures when it hits the field. This turns it into a very efficient token generator if you have some ramp. with 2 evolve creatures on the field, this is as many ashcoat bears as you can pay for each turn, with no card cost. That can be significant.
Alright, I cannot claim to be able to evaluate cards for standard, so I won't go there. However, in eternal formats, I fail to see what the fuss is about over Blind Obedience.
In eternal, if you want to lock down your opponent with Stasis or stunt their development so that you get a tempo boost, it's usually the mana you want to nail. Root Maze does a much better job of this. Stopping creatures and artifacts is vastly different from stopping lands and artifacts. I'm not even sure they overlap enough to make a new deck where you dedicate eight slots to them.
As a tempo card to win creature wars, I don't expect you will get into fights in any of these formats involving two opposing armies that this will bust through. I get that this puts your opponent severely behind if you have a lead on the board, since his creatures cannot block that turn, but how often would this be better than just casting Swords / Path / Bolt / etc?
Perhaps it has applications as a sideboard card against second-tier (Eggs, Splintertwin, Elf Combo), but that's about it. Did Elf Combo really need to get hosed?
Finally, extort requires paying one mana for a one point life loss to the opponent. That effect is not worth a card, and I'd even venture to guess it's not worth one mana in older formats.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't see this card doing anything.

I like the ooze card for limited. If you have enough creatures with evolve you can basically keep making oozes until you run out of mana as the ooze will just evolve your creatures again.
Blind Obedience is going to be hurting someone at some point, that is for sure.
i think its better in a weenie shell. they can put guys out, but its not going to stop you from beating in. in control, it stops hasted guys, and is a win condition in itself.
as for stopping twin/eggs/whatever else. i seriously gave thought to running due respect, which is better/worse depending on what your deck is looking to do.

Yes. It is a great mana sink as long as you still have some evovle creatures down on the board.
Which part of Blind Obedience is control to you? It does absolutely nothing for controls. Just like Root Maze, its home is in creature decks if anywhere.
It controls your opponents board state. A very powerful effect. It essentially nullifies haste, and, lets you drain, which is another very controlling effect especially since we run so much land and mana that we normally look down at 8+ mana. It's a very good mana sink, something we really need as control.
This was NOT the enchantment with extort I was looking for
Its the enchantment that Orzhov and control players deserve, but not the one it needs right now.
Anyways, this card is nuts. Thing is that there are a lot of things that can deal with it out of sideboards, particularly Golgari Charm (as well as Abrupt Decay). So I think that BG should be fine. Its the red decks that will have a problem, and may force them to splash for other colors to deal with it.

Obedience is excellent, even if it wasn't what everyone expected. It does one of the things that Orzhov wants to do: slow the game down to a crawl.
Also, I am so glad to see that they used great art on a great card, am I right?
Yeah I've been waiting to see what card that glorious piece of art was going to be on. Now show me that Orzhov knight that you've teased me with beautiful art, Wizards!
Think outside the box guys. Your opponent also plays creatures on your turn. Restoration Angel, Wolfir Avenger, and Izzet Staticaster. Yes, Blind Obedience is good.

Because the Orzhov can be *quite* nasty to one another in their internal power struggles.
Obzedat is also destroyed by his own High Priest

Hmm, it could work with Undying as well to let them continue to do their thing and with Unleash just to surprise block.
