Between unleashed counters and scavenge counters and centaur tokens and bird tokens and wurm tokens and soulbond indicators and now evolve counters, you're going to need an accounting degree to play a game of standard!

Seeing as they're all the same kind of counter, I don't see how you would. Why do you need soulbond markers? Just place the two bonded creatures adjacent to each other on the battlefield.

I am Pro Counters. I'm hoping there will be enough in this block that my Unified Ravnica cube can become a "counters matters in Ravnica" cube.
I use bits of scrap paper for counters and tokens, and write on them what they are (unless they are +1/+1 counters, in which case why bother?)
I use pennies. As everything. I used to have various colored glass fish tank stones but got tired of hauling them around. It only gets confusing if you dont keep them organised or if your playing in a format supporting both + & - counters. Believe thats part of why we dont see both in a set.

Do we have any proof that both the card and the story behind it it's 100% Legit?

My playgroup uses other cards or actual token cards (i personally borrow cards from my yugioh deck).
wait, does putting a +1/+1 counter actually get rid of a -1/-1 counter (or vice versa)? I woudn't think it does--they would still exist, but the outcome is cancelled out...
*cough*
anyway,
I was excited to see the Simic next set, and the mechanic looks awesome, to say nothing of her ability to put that counter on someone else! can't wait to see whatelse the Simic has to offer

There is a special rule that states that +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters cancel each other out. It doesn't work for any other type of counter.
Hydrosurge can lower the power of your Evolve creature to let it keep growing once you run out of bigger creatures to play (but that's not worth spending a whole card on). Or I guess you could keep an opponent's Evolve creature from growing by shrinking the bigger creature in response? Still bad.

Ah but the fact it's an option is vital, especially if we get some good flash creatures, if for example you are lacking just enough umph next turn to end the game. Not the best option, but Ive seen the difference a few counters can make it a pinch.

Eh, I still don't think it's worth using Hydrosurge as a Battlegrowth that's sometimes a bad combat trick. But yes, it is at least an option.
At the least, it makes the spell playable in a situation where using it defensivly may not help.
First of all, you're taking two cards from different sets, so clearly we're not talking about draft. So we're using a bad card to weaken our creature for a turn just so we give it a +1/+1 counter? At least use Fleeting Distraction... Or just don't run Hydrosurge and instead run a bigger creature.
There have to be hundreds of these cards out there for us to hear about one. It's intentional; conspiracy theory - possibly from the same saboteur that's trying to sell the mythic rares (which was definitely not Wizard's wizardry; though this one might be). Or their printer really, really sucks.
Also, people working in the place where they pack the cards are known to be knuckleheads who put Slowpokes in the rare slot of Zendikar.
. The story behind it IT'S important, it helps selling the fact that a card is fake or not.

But really, it's not so bad. Not nearly as much of a headache as Scars block or LOR/MOR limited.

You're gonna have to elaborate, bro.

Well, the the other card with evolve seems to confirm this one. The story behind is not important, its probably a smokescreen.
