Quote from JaceTheMetaSculptorWould you play this?
It's somewhere around this power level, since they don't need to sacrifice anything to simply attack through it, while the actual card asks for one more sacrifice.
Quote from Marek14 »See, this is the problem. You simply throw away nonsense too quickly. You do not recognize that nonsense has a time-tested place in game design.
Quote from clan_iraqThe context? In context we'd have a few swell "OR" clauses.
But Id say a better way to imagine it would be the burden of example- look at all the popular 4+ cmc doodles in standard. How many don't have hexproof, CA, haste or whatever other mechanics that let them be relevant in the face of a removal?
Quote from NegatoratorI dunno about you, but if Falkenrath Aristocrat resolves the game if not over is almost over.

After reading the comments so far I have come to a conclusion.
85% of the time this guy IS the following card in reality:
6/6 whenever ~ attacks put a +1/+1 counter on it.
attacks each turn if able. (flying is almost irrelevant)
That's one of the most aggressive creatures ever printed.
Quote from TondaI think,
The card is actually most close to,
Whenever ~ is blocked put a +1/+1 counter on it at the end of combat.
Quote from OrzhovChildI kinda feel he's outta place in this set, let alone this plane.
I remember hearing that the Rakdos tried to make new demons but they were just half demons with some kind of drawback that didn't please them.
But oh well.

Everything is too strong for standard

Quote from DlucksThe context I was pointing out was the original point of being a 4CMC creature and not a 4CMC+ creature. There is some difference there. Now that being said, most if not all 5CMC+ commonly played creature have some type of advantage, but they they're becoming a rare breed in general.
Quote from pedee pabloYea I thought it was a fake or something when i first saw it. Super strong mono creature with no guild relation, we havnt seen anything like that yet.
Quote from wingkonOkay it has a "drawback" that causes your opponent to lose creatures and makes it stronger. Like holy cow what the hell? This thing is POWERFUL O___O
Quote from Serpos of UrugI don't get it--it seems neat, but it doesn't have trample, so they can just chump block it and achieve the same results as saccing a creature to it without giving it a counter.
Quote from CSeraphThis is probably the first good punisher card.
Quote from RCarlysleI once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Quote from TwinSaisIf it's the beginning of the combat phase, and your opponent sacrifices a creature, could you untap it with Captain of the Mists and attack again?
