So I guess we will be getting 3 cycles of mythics in RTR:
- Five 2CMCX spells (Rakdos's Return, Grand Experiment ect.)
- Five Giant mon-coloured creatures (This guy, Worldspine Wurm)
- Five Guild-Leaders
- 2 Planeswalkers
Or clears your opponent's biggest creatures ahead of an alpha strike. Or clears re-animation targets out of their graveyard.
Also, yet another card Deadeye Navigator loves. Blink it, stack the triggers so you can blink it again before its ETB resolves, wipe three creatures from battlefield OR graveyard permanently. THEN exile three more, either opponents or your own, and go from there.
Can somebody tell me pls how its possible to permanently remove cards with this angel? I dont get it.:(

The same way Fiend Hunter does. If you can blink her, sacrifice her, bounce her, or otherwise remove her from the battlefield before her ETB resolves, the LTB trigger will fire, and since there are no cards to exile, nothing will return. Then the ETB will resolve, exiling 3 cards, and there will be no linked ability to bring them back, because it has already resolved.
I love this. Love. Even though Golgari looks very OP, I can tell I will be very happy playing UW control.
Why decide, i would so love it to play Angel of Serenity besides Vraska, the Unseen. Angel clearing the board and Vraska sending out assasins to finish the job. What a dream of Magic...;)
Most important thing is it can be cast and value is gained even if you opponent has nothing as it can help you get up to three cards back. And if they play a treat you can blink it, get your cards back and get more value since it does not need to die
I like it
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

is 17 a usual number for a set this big?
Actually I think we jsut get 15... So I think 2 colors will get screwed out of monocolored creatures. Expectation? Blue and Red dont get them this time around... I dont see another dragon coming this set, and Blue could get some sphinx or something, but I fully expect a black boardsweeping creature to replace massacre wurm
This is gonna be a good 1-of to finish the curve of a Bant colored tempo deck. Use it with cloudshift to exile enemy creatures for good and on second ETB trigger, recycle some of your dead critters. Cavern of souls makes sure it hits the battlefield. Awesome Art. Like it.
people are failing to see the Reveillark inside this creature. For 2 extra mana, versatility and a bigger body.
Rev returns to play instead of needing to recast them, finds all of it's targets when it leaves play instead of looking earlier when you may not have what you need yet, and can be evoked to get that benefit right away. This is no Rev. This isn't even on the same level of Rev. This is a bigger fiend hunter who probably originally returned them to play (which is what white does) but it was probably MUCH too powerful doing it that way so he got nerfed. It's good but I don't see him being anything but EDH/Casual.

That's what I thought at first too, but this guy is actually a good finisher with the right setup. He's guarunteed card-advantage with the potential to blow your opponent out of the water

Currently living in Tokyo Japan looking for a good shop near my house. If anyone can help me out please let me know.
All these janky large creatures or large cmc+X mythics.
Can't we get some normal cards that people may actually use? :l
Gotta spoil the big cards to get the timmies excited.
Seriously though, power cards get everyone excited and there have been lots of powerful cards spoiled. Not many people want to see Slime Molding, regular 2/2's and the jank of the limited pool.
Now, about this card, it has some awesome abilities and there is definitely an argument to play her. She's tougher than the reaver and actually affects the board when she drops. Dying isn't as much on an issue vs Reaver and she is versatile with her ETB ability. Good card.
Another card where people seem very divided on their reactions. A 7CMC 5/6 flying angel that can exile things, but has no protection for itself... hmm, I seriously don't know if I should say "meh" or "wow!"
This does "feel" like a Mythic, whether it's good or terrible, at least they got that right.

What, just how every fatty in existence is great in Heartless Summoning?
What next, I want this elite vanguard in my deck because it's great with plains?
IMO, Heartless is best as a control deck and this is one of the best control creatures I've ever seen. Even better if you put something in to abuse it, like Deadeye Navigator.
Also in EDH, this + Deadeye Navigator is another sick and wrong combo.
