Deadbridge Goliath 2GG
Scavenge 4GG (exile this card from your graveyard to put x +1/+1 counters on target creature where x is this creatures power. Use this ability only as a sorcery)
5/5
Just got this at gencon trade day. My phone can't attach the picture. Will upload soon.

It's a 5/5 for 4 that gives something a permanent +5/+5 for 6 mana after it dies? That seems really good. Might not completely break constructed (should still be playable), but auto-first pick in limited.
Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.
Not sure I agree, this mechanic is inherently card advantage. Consider the Increasing Savagery/Invisible Stalker combo that saw Standard play for a few weeks ... now consider Savagery as an uncounterable ability that didn't require a card from your hand. Seems a bit better, no?
Obviously this particular card isn't going to be the one to break with Invisible Stalker, but the mechanic in and of itself seems totally playable to me in the right build.

I'm always looking for foil Madcap Skills and Ghitu Fire-Eater, [trade thread link forthcoming]
Better for us to have some balanced mecahincs as opposed to overpowered stuff anyway. 15 years ago, this probably is indeed an unplayable mechanic, but the game has changed.
Plays real well with Disciple of Bolas as well. Turn 4 Deadbridge, turn 5 Disciple gain 5 draw 5, turn 6 scavenge give plus 5 plus 5 counters to something else. Seems pretty good.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
Just once, I want a spoiler season to go by without the extreme opinions of "This card is terrible unplayable trash" and "This card is broken and terrible for the game" bogging down every thread. Not off to a great start.
This card is unlikely to see Constructed play, but is definitely a very strong card in Limited. Further, while this specific card isn't likely good enough for Constructed (though I could see it being fine), the mechanic does have a lot of potential. As someone else said, it's inherent card advantage in creature-based decks. If real, I look forward to seeing what else they've done with it.

... lol. I'm going to take a guess with that ability and that name that it's Golgari.
Hmmmm. Kind of hoped for an ability that worked with lands in your grave for Golgari, but that isn't too bad.

Considering the ability, and since we already have the other green guilds keyword, it's pretty obvious that it is aligned with the Golgari.
It does have synergy with Dredge, so it sounds pretty legit to me.

I read this wrong. Didnt realize scavenge costs mana and that hurts it. Still, you getting more out a creature after it dies...

Maybe it'll be reprinted and as a Full art Game Day promo!

It plays well to both green and blacks strengths, has synergy with Dredge (and Mulch, which is standard legal). What is not to love?

Can't be worse for the game than Dredge 5 or Dredge 6.

Hi Mr.Icanjudgeamechanicbeforeitevencomesout but I'll disagree and say it is potentially amazing.
