Excuse me if this is the wrong place or if there is already a thread, but I have not seen this pop up yet.
Just went through the card section at walmart, and in the 3 pack + promo there are terastodons. (Not grave/other, a promo one). I tried checking ebay but there's nothing. Didn't want to pick it up if it was worthless.
Absolutely nothing on google from what I checked. Anyone else seen it?
I just picked up the three of these that my local Wal-Mart had. Collector number is A6, 2010. Came with packs of M12, Dark Ascension, and Avacyn Restored.
Ooooh. This was the missing one. You guys are so lucky. My Wal Mart still has Retaliation Griffin and Broodmate Dragon.

I don't know who at walmart was convinced that any of the promo's they put on these packs would make magic players want to buy them. A simple internet search to look up the value of a card would yield how well it is going to help you sell those booster packs..........If anything the promo should always be at least a $10-20 rare or more. It makes no sense to put useless crap out as a promo.
I don't think Walmart thinks twice about what is specifically in the packs. I'm certain there are no Walmart execs or even regional managers involved in planning the promos. Those displays are usually stocked by outside companies. There's weird crap that shows up there all the time.
At my Walmart they're selling these bizarre combo deals - it's a hard plastic case that usually has one of the Ravnica-era 75-card tournament packs, a random pre-con from Onslaught or so, and what looks like about 40-80 sleeves, although I'm not sure exactly how many. They ask $20-30 for them, and I've never noticed one actually sell.
(It's actually not an uncommon practice...even the tortilla section at your local supermarket might be maintained by an outside company rather than the store itself.)
