I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.
When he attacks, he destroys target monster creature?
As a plus, he'll probably have either first strike or double strike
Thats always possible, especially since they usually make the promos borderline playable. If he introduces a combat mechanic, I'm sure the spear grants it and is more playable than the paladin, the Buy-a-box card has been a pretty good card recently (Gravecrawler, Devil's Play, Chandra's Phoenix.)

i could see the paladin as a WWW cost and be the opposite of messenger BBB from DA. with some come into play effect, and definitely whatever mechanic they are using. (possibly also hexproof? does silver effect magic?)

Pure speculation but the focus on silver seems to definitely help the theory that AVR is about the humans overcoming the darkness. I'd be fine with that as it's been a long time since we left a plane in better shape than when we first got there. Wonder if the spear is going to be a good equipment for SFM.
You know in a lot of people's perspectives we left Mirroden in much better shape than when we found it.

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.
Maybe silverblade isn't the type of weapon it is carrying, but more so a guild or pact it belongs to.
True I could see Silverblade being a new order of knights formed by Avacyn or something, maybe moonsilver being a new metal that has properties that fight the monsters of that plane.

Or maybe they really blew up the moon. Just blame it on Ludevic already.
My guess is no different from yours: A creature (uhhh duhh) that is a natural Werewolf/Vampire hoser/hate. Could fit in ISD block decks, atleast in sideboards (I feel like Elite Inquisitor being maindeck even in regular soldier decks - it is a Kazandu with it's own block matters and a stronger body -, but don't know about this one, and will know only when we have spoilers), but wouldn't be totally useless.
What worries me is the fact that I feel like Innistrad have more cards that hate things on set (zombies and vampires, for example) than usual other sets,
and that makes me think that we could have one of those tribes in next block. But that's speculation and I'm posting in wrong place.
My problem with it being a "monster hating creature" is that it would be quite useless in a draft, as there are no werewolves in AVR. Or are there, and they just don't transform?

All we know is that there are no transforms. There could be werewolves that don't transform (much like the Tovolo the FtS article mentioned).

AVR drafts go AVR-AVR-AVR, I think. Not sure, tho.
Silverblade Paladin...probably a ridiculous combat creature or something to do with equipmunk.
I can only hope this was a nod to The League, as I've been laughing for the past five minutes after having read your comment. I currently run a mono-white human deck in standard that I named "Bobbum Men," though, the only equipment in the deck are four Butcher's Cleavers.
If Silverblade Paladin is even half as gnarly as it sounds, I will certainly find a spot for it. He'll be terrorizing bobbums with his equipmunk in no time.

well if the paladin follows normal suit it will probably be a 3/3 with protection from werewolves, vampires, and zombies, or be a 3/3 firststriker with WW tap destroy target werewolf, vampire, or zombie, with a casting cost of 2WW

Maybe he will totally destroy the monster tribes? Or well.. Going by the name, werewolves
Well we already have Slayer of the Wicked and Elite Inquisitor, so idk how much farther they can go with that.
If I had to guess, he'd have a new mechanic that's being introduced and is on cards with silver in the name or something of that ilk.
RIP Mike McArtor. The Mothership won't be the same.

Silver = against werewolves
it might be just a Knight with First strike or Vigilance
2/1 or 3/1
Not less than 3 to 5 casting cost
and has protection against werewolves.
My best bet that is gonna be werewolves or vampire threat card.
same as Elite Inquisitor. might be destroy or protection..
What? The name of the card is Silverblade Paladin that's not up for speculation.

how is that? i think the biggest evil from older sets returning isn't better shape lol.
He's probably referring to the first time around; Memnarch is defeated, and everything restored to as it should have been.
