Yeah they said all along that they made Snapcaster to be a "hit" for this set. I doubt they'd put him in anything but an Event deck. Even then it seems that the UBG one is likely to be a Pod deck.
If anything, Snapcaster is more likely in the UBG event deck. That way, they can even put 2 of them if they want.
Would never put two of them in the deck. Think of how the Illusion Event Deck only had one Lord of the Unreal. Wizards won't give out multiple copies of that this think will be a sought after rare. Putting one in the deck will help sell it but no more.
Also still no deck lists on these Intro Decks though? Haven't stores started to get their stuff for Prelease by now? That normally includes Intro Decks right?

We had 2 Stoneforge Mystics, 2 Bloodghast, 2 Goblin Guides, 2 Devastating Summons, and 2 Drowned Catacombs in event decks. There's plenty of prescedent that they could put 2 Snapcaster Mages in an event deck. Even if they did it this set, though, the 1st reprint run will have already been ordered before we'll know. Besides, if one of the mythics is really good, it'll drive down Snapcaster, anyway. Just look at how much play the Worldwake manlands saw, but yet they're worthless because the Jace search flooded the market with them.
Of course, on the other side of the coin, Snapcaster could be put off until it's getting ready to rotate. Just be warned that any standard uncommon or rare could potentially have its price destroyed overnight by event decks. Afterall, it's already happened to Stoneforge who dropped from 30 to about 12, pre-banning and Dismember that went from 9 to 2. Unlike normal precons, they're marketed as competitive and they have some allstar cards in them.
I actually think that all those non-foil Rares are decent. The weakest one of the is probably Curse of Stalked Prey, and even that one gets some love from aggro players already.
I like that there are few core set cards compared to some intro decks, but am a bit dissapointed at the lack of DFC's since that is their showcase mechanic. Perhaps they are going to try and prove they are "event" worthy?
The G/W humans deck seems like it has the most value, Mentor of the Meek, Fiend Hunter, 2 Hamlet Captains seems like a decent (if very small) base to start building a Human deck with.

That would be a bit tricky. They'd have to include checklist cards too since these are meant to be playable without sleeves. And they'd have to premark them as well.
Which probably means a change to their manufacturing process and maybe new packing to fit the additional cards.
The biggest shock here is that people are shocked. These have always been aimed at newer players and casual players who keep the decks together for kitchen table play. You'd be surprised at how many people just buy 3-5 of these a year and that's it.
So um, does the vampire deck (carnival of blood) suck? I hope it does, because I don't want the price of that deck, like all of the vampire decks so far, to skyrocket.
By the way, the intro packs are supposed to suck, unless the combined costs of the cards are less than the MSRP cost of the intro packs, then yeah.
How NOT to make an intro pack is to make a tournament ready deck. That is called an event deck. I am also keeping my hopes low, as Carnival of Blood, the one I want, will probably have its price jacked up, depending on how good the vampires are this season.
I was wondering, which card(s) made the vampire decks from Zendikar, Worlkwake, and M11 good? Is it because of some cards within the deck, or is it because of this one card that isn't in any of the decks, that work so well with vampires that people are buying these decks just to get more vampires?
I like that there are so many new cards in these decks. Too many times in the past they have had many cards from the older sets, even where one of the rare cards is from another set! That's not what the intro decks should be in my opinion, so I'm glad that there is a majority of new cards here.
U/W: 'Spectral Legions' - Spirit Tribal - Angel of Flight Alabaster.
U/R: 'Eldritch Onslaught' - Flashback - Sturmgeist.
B/G: 'Deathly Dominion' - Morbid - Skirsdag High Priest.
B/R: 'Carnival of Blood' - Vampires - Falkenrath Marauders.
G/W: 'Repel the Dark' - Humans - Elder of Laurels.
Now to wait for the spoilers our last foil!
Then only one missing is the Blue one we know the others

decklists up despite them linking to the wrong article on the main site
edit: Mentor of the meek in the G/W deck, otherwise nothing noteworthy in any of them.

They might put him in event decks, but almost assuredly wouldn't put them in intro decks.
