"It's like Inception, but with beer instead of dreams!" - A member of my project team on how to convince our supervisor we have actually done some work.
Definitely limited material. Better than Bonebreaker Giant (which was better than Berserkers of Blood Ridge), so I'm not really going to complain, but this is a card I really don't want to open multiples of, even in the same draft.
Though to be fair, there are a number of spells that make lots of creatures in Innistrad.
It is red's version of lord of extinction. It is also bombtastic with fling varients. Sucks about the lack of evasion but it's just an uncommon.
How is this a lord of extinction, at all?
+1/+1 for each creature your opponent controls = P/T is equal to the number of cards in all graveyards.
What is this, I don't even.
ANYWAYS...seems like a good limited card. Not too ovvercosted, and seems to have the extra bang to really do some damage. Like someone said, definately spirit/zombie hate. Yay Lavaphant.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Just for the record, "Geier" means Vulture in german. Kinda expected the card to have flying from the name.
Vulture Reach is a great name for a place in a horror setting. It probably named after all of the vultures that live there. Why so many vutlures? Vampires don't bury their "Left overs" The flavor of this set is set to 11.
edit: Its not a thing set on fire its a thing made of fire
This card is barely playable in limited, and maybe not even then. What the hell, wizards.
This is a perfectly fine limited card. The pack I'd first-pick it from would have to be pretty awful, but it's fine. Red's random 5-drop fatties are usually a good deal worse than this.
Also, do we really need 20 people to pop their heads up every time a limited card is spoiled, wailing and gnashing their teeth because Wizards made a card for draft? Limited is a format. Cards get made for it, and, almost by definition, most cards HAVE to be made for it.
You'd think we'd all be used to that fact by now...

seriously? This is going to be very good in limited. Look at the innistrad spoiler. Every limited game is gonna be a flustercluck of crowded boards. Its gonna be slow. Like rise of the eldrazi slow. This dude is gonna be a beast. They keep saying this limited format is going to be much slower but noone seems to believe it.
And for the record, this is well above barely playable even in a format as fast as m12 draft. Should be better in innistrad

That is not dead,
Which can eternal lie,
Yet with strange eons,
Even death may die.

"Ha! I have an 8/8 for 5!"
"That's nice. I have 5 creatures to your one 8/8."
Ok in limited, since a 4/4 or 5/5 for 5 is plenty acceptable.
