First Wayne Reynolds art that I've ever really liked. I can't believe he finally drew a character without arms akimbo. He looks like a common; hope it's a good one.

The rest of the stuff is fantastic, too. Flavourful and visually arresting.

So the two Garruks, one with him dishevelled and at night, pretty much confirms Garruk as two-faced... right?

Absolutely amazing art. The art of magic has been at an all-time high, in my opinion. I absolutely adored the art from Scars block, especially that of New Phyrexia, and this is even better.

The aristocratic vampire floating in the sky has such a classic 'vampire' feel to it that i love it.

Also, something about Olivia that I never noticed--those people below her, holding the masks up to their face, staring up at her? Are they admirers, victims, or both? Regardless, they add to the picture brilliantly.

I have to give it to Jarvis, his art direction is off the charts for this set, and the artists have done everything they can to show they are very good at what they do. The church being attacked by giant swamp-corpse hands (notice the graveyard too) has a score of 15 (on a 1 to 10 scale).

Placing my bets on the vampire being Bloodline Keeper. Notice how we have scale bats, and not scale birds?

Rather curious what the (morbid?) instant/sorcery does, the Ophelia art one.

Olivia Voldaren's art also amused me, with its closeup: it's Vampire the Masquerade Ball!

does anyone else think the artwork of Olivia is a bit off?

I mean she obviously has her hand resting on her knee, its resting on it and she doesnt seem to be pulling her dress but if you look at both of her legs they indicate that they are both straight and neither one is not bent at all. I know its something stupid but it just looks weird.

The way i see it is, that first the artist made her with one leg bend but it wasnt shown because of the dress, so people made stupid assumptions that she has one leg like liliana (check the threads >..>)

so they changed her to two legs floating and it looks a bit weird now ,the way she is upping the dress

it would look so much better with only one leg shown and the other shown a little below the dress or not at all :L

As I posted elsewhere, you can argue that what you're seeing between her index and middle fingers is part of her dress. (It looks more like a finger guard to me, though, on her middle finger). However, it does seem like there's a sliver of dress between thumb and forefinger. I do think she's holding up her dress all the same, though, but yeah, until I saw the second foot it really looked like a hand resting on knee.

Besides... why is his face so much whiter than his ears??
Also, the vampire and angel seem to be in the same city. I'd go more for the Black Knight / White Knight duality than them being one flip card

hot damn at both angels. The vampire art looks sweet. Idk about the floating female at a party, but it could be cool. The one with the soul escaping a chest could be a white "morbid" piece. And that dagger/sword looks like its something special. something to equip my invisible stalker with

could the male vampire be Dracula? Seems like there would be a Dracula character.

As someone who got both some great early art but also suffered some sets with DISMAL lackluster art I have to say that the art for this set so far is consistently fantastic. Thematically very tied in well (good direction) and high quality.

Not familiar with Wayne Reynolds previously but I love both of his pieces, the town guard by the road and the battle cleric or what have you.

And that stained glass window piece is beautiful.

At first I thought that she was simply holding up her dress, but there's no way she's holding it up with her hand cupped like that.

Nice art all we need is our Simon Belmont like character to make this set. Hopefully is a legend to boot.
