Reclaim doesn't really make a lot of sense with Noxious Revival being in NPH which is in 99.9% of the cases strictly superior, but oh well it's okay in limited, I guess.
Demistify seems justified if we gonna have an aura theme; but with Celestial Purge confirmed, it seems that Condemn is kicked out ... Swords to Plowshares is coming? Then white would be insane in removal ...
Swords would be too hardcore lol.
Stifle because it fits the crunch and is a fine and balanced reprint?
Okay, apparently it's definitely not Dungeon Shade, Apart from the whole 'flying in a dungeon' thing, Dungeon Shade is also a Spirit, which would (I suppose) be enough reason to get rid of it.
Wouldn't Flight not fit the Name and Number Crunch?
Edit: Never mind. Flashfreeze moves to #52.

Due to real-life obligations, I am taking a long break from Magic which may include missing the local Legacy GP. Apologies for not being able to keep my threads updated.
Its incredibly unlikely that stifle or plowshares would get reprinted. Plowshares is the best removal ever and broken in half, and they wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole. It would be like reprinting time walk. Speaking of things they won't go near, 1-CMC instant speed land destruction is one of them, and thats why stifle won't be legal in the same standard as fetchlands. Once fetches are out its possible, but then it would be printed in INN, not M12.

Path to Exile is arguably at least as good as, if not better than, StP.
Nantuko shade is interesting; it's great in legacy, for example, but nowhere near as good in standard. It's nice to have something like that to demonstrate to newer legacy players (like me) some of the more subtle differences between the two like the low amounts of removal in legacy (which I presume is related to control being widespread, although it could just have been the one place we were at). It's also nice to have some reprints like the shade or smallpox for getting newer people into legacy by showing that these cards are available; a friend of mine pretty much threw together a black deck with arenas, rituals, titans and shades on top of a boatload of standard removal and managed to go 3/3 (better than I managed with a budget goblin deck, but I made misplays and really felt the lack of wastelands).
O-ring is solid removal. Would be unsurprised to see white get more removal, although I don't think it should generally have that much cheap exile removal, honestly. Black has to pay 2 mana to kill things, and while white gets stuff like StP or Path, I'm never too happy about white getting cheaper removal than black when the white removal is often signifigantly better (exile) with a drawback that is relatively minor. Dismember is available if needs be, and that's good enough, I think, for colourless cheap removal.
Nantuko Shade is BARELY playable in legacy.
This is the only list that has done anything this year (According to SCG), and the creature base is full of STANDARD creatures. (And it got 5th at a grand prix trial, which is hardly a high level event) http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=37655

This is inaccurate. Path to Exile is a fixedSwords to Plowshares; if white is going to get unconditional one-cost removal it's at least going to come with card disadvantage.
I will give you that both of those cards are very flavorful (Swords perhaps even more so than Path). I don't think they'll ever let STP back into Standard, but an eventual PTE reprint is plausible. I just doubt it'll be this soon.
well, it's nearing the end of spoiler season, and the spoils are getting less exciting. I'll be spending my time getting ready for drafting this saturday from now on. Not sure what else of real interest could be left.

It fits nicely in slot 4.
The only lame part is that wither lost some of its uniqueness what with every infect creature having it. Infect would've been better as -0/-1 IMO
Would they really re-print Stifle?

Junk PodMagic: the BuylistingAh, good catch. It's possible that they've just changed the numbering system though.
Then it must be a new card or maybe the only removal spell for white is oblivion ring.
Drifting Shade replaces Nantuko Shade? Boo Wizards.
I guess it's pretty clear now that M11 > M12.
Pacifism is why O-ring was made uncommon...
Well, Nantuko Shade didn't do much of anything for being reprinted, so I would consider it not to be a metric to measure an entire set on.

No, it replaces Nightwing Shade.

Path to Exile is arguably at least as good as, if not better than, StP.
StP is nowhere near Time Walk's power level.
It doesnt make a lot of sense for a Shade to be flying inside a dungeon, considering its a closed space.

Grim Lavamancer is great in legacy. Nantuko Shade is not.

Path is nowhere as good as STP and does not see the level of competitive play in legacy compared to STP.
And whoever compared STP to Time Vault is like comaparing as musket to an atomic bomb.
7 mana for a 6/3 is a great idea, especially when 6 nets you 6/6 mythic beatsticks.
