Wizards is finally showing that this is THEIR game, and its THIER customers they are selling too. It's about time they stop catering to the second market. I cannot wait to see what else comes out of these sets,
Bribery
Duplicant
Eternal Dragon
Gilded Lotus
Land Tax
Maze of Ith
Solemn Simulacrum
Strip Mine
Tooth and Nail
Treachery
Vesuva
Volrath's Stronghold
All of these are very sought after staples that are played almost exclusively in EDH (Maze of Ith is the most played constructed card here, but even that is only infrequently seen in Legacy compared to EDH). I wouldn't mind shocklands being reprinted as well, but that's a lot less likely, especially if Modern becomes a reality.
I believe that I have enough social competence to slip into a party or two, potentially wooing some attractive females that would not mind spending the evening performing the booty dance on me.
Haha, that's funny because I would have loved this in old frame. But, I guess I can't really complain about getting Sol Ring in each deck now can I?
I would not have minded either art, although I prefer the newer art. I like the modern frames in black border. May be it is because I started with Mirroden, may be because I like silver and the pre-modern frames had brown artifacts, or because Mark Rosewater mind controlled me.

Definitely the last part, haha.
Can't wait to see what other great artifacts are in the set after these first two.

I am hoping for some Power 9, real duals, and may be, if we are really lucky, a Divining Top.
I am sure we will see at least one powerful spell for each color in each that will be a shock.
Speaking of shock, some shocklands would be nice. Hell if they made 3 colored shock lands, that would be beautiful.... Of course paying 2 would be way too powerful... Maybe 5 actually would hit the spot... *fingers crossed for Island Swamp Forest*

When I was talking to my brother about this, I originally said this would be a good time to release the Shock lands.
Heavenly Inferno
Godless Shrine and Blood Crypt
Mirror Mastery
Steam Vents and Stomping Ground
Counterpunch
Overgrown Tomb and Temple Garden
Political Puppets
Sacred Foundry and Hallowed Fountain

This is a good idea that I thought of before, but you have the overlapping colors wrong- Heavenly inferno would overlap white, mirror blue, counter black, political red, and devour green. I'm just basing this on the color of the boxes.

If each box just had the allied color shockland, wouldn't that work out?

I don't see any reason for this. It focuses more on enemy colors (the enemy legends) than on allied colors. I just see that there is a "main" color for each deck. Oros is white, Teneb is black etc (look at their abilities). Yeah, box color is more or less arbitrary probably. Both shocklands would be enemy colored, based on the above reasoning. WR and WB for inferno, for example. Both give white mana.
Both shocklands could not possibly be allied if you think about it. There is only one pair of allies in wedge and two enemies.

Well the thing is, they could always just rely on commons and uncommons for the allied fixing. Except for the Ravnica bounce lands, the Ravnica signets, and random artifacts that fix mana for a price (as well as stuff like Coldsteel Heart and Sol Grail), I'm not certain they have enough color fixing for the enemy colors.

I went with this forumula:
first two colors = enemy, last two color = allied.
Black: White/Red
Red: Blue/Green
Green: Black/ White
White: Red/Blue
Blue: Green/Black
That is what gives all the colors.
Yours is weird...
Going with the other is
W: W/B W/R
U: U/R U/G
B: B/G B/W
R: R/U R/W
G: G/U G/B
All you get is the enemy shocks, which I would not mind, but that is weird, especially when the theme is "Gather your allies." "Gather your enemies" seems odd.
them doing sol ring in there as uncommon slot is a slap in the face to everyone who bought a FTV Relics.
that's a bit ridiculous. if you bought FTV:R simply for the Sol Ring (the same set that includes a Mox Diamond, Aether Vial, Black Vise, Memory Jar, and N. Disk, among others), well no offense, but maybe you deserve a slap. i mean, c'mon, Kird Ape was in an FTV set. does that mean they shouldn't reprint him anymore either (or bump up his rarity)? i see nothing wrong with printing a card at it's normal rarity despite the fact the card was included in a limited edition set which for some odd reason makes everything included into a mythic.

Top would be nice. You'll still be able to get these at Walmart and Target for like 30 bucks.

Thank God for having a local Wal-Mart that seems to never sell out of Magic products.
Exactly. I feel that too.
This. I dislike white borders and foils, and love silver. Wizards made me happy.
Try again, treachery and volrath's stronghold are both on the reserved list.
RUG Riku, Two is Better Than One
UB [PRIMER] Wrexial, Classic Control

I don't find it odd in particular since Sol Ring was an uncommon to begin with. But that's just me.

If I could have gotten a FTV Relics at MSRP, I don't think I'd mind that they're reprinting one of them. It was an uncommon to start with anyways
That said, I can't wait to (hopefully) get my hands on a few!
