While the angel seems like a interesting design, it just seems very impractical outside of maybe a Doran deck.
"Ok, I'll play this angel and choose Peace so I have a 6/9. And you're choosing War? Why would you do that? You only have like 5 weenie creatures who are now like 5/1's..oh I see."
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
The Angel of No Pants is interesting. I like multiplayer politics, and I hope that there's more cards along that vein.
UR, one of my favorite color combos, and Nin is pretty cool. I like cheap legendaries, and she's got a useful ability.
But, pain artist? How is this not a BR card? What ever happened to UR being the color of passionate research and wizards with ADD? Now we're technical sadists?
Oh yeah that. I hate angels because they have to print them in every set because all casual players have a hard on for them, and they always print angels on all the playmats and other merchandise. This means that sets are always limited to settings that can include angels (no greek mythology, etc) and that other awesome creatures (like sphinxes, which are awesome, and dragons, which are almost as awesome) have less of a chance to have their art used on merchandise.
So really, I don't hate them as individual creatures. And this one is fun enough that it can be the only angel that I really like a lot. As long as they print a sphinx. If they don't print a cool multiplayer-oriented sphinx in one of these decks then I'll probably get pretty mad.
To be fair, they just printed the most multiplayer-oriented sphinx ever.
I love sphinxes, so I'd love a new one too.
Yessir. I love the fact that they did print stuff to be actual multiplayer. It is a card that says: I get what I want but is what I want going to help me more or help the table more?. Nice 4/1s you got there. Perfect matches for my 1/4s over here. Moreso considering that you have to choose first.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
While her flavor does fit UB better, drawing cards and dealing damage is as UR as it gets.
To expand on this, WotC did a lot of thinking about the color pie during Ravnica Block and concluded that some things belong to color pairs just like some things belong to single colors. Card draw linked to damage dealt and vice versa is UR just like the Zombie creature type is B and efficient fatties are G.

Obviously you wouldn't play it in that kind of situation, besides why would you pick peace at that time anyway? 9/6 flyer > 6/9 flyer. It's already been mentioned that it would do really well with what you for some reason chose as the opposition in your example, tokens. Imagine you're the one with the 5 weenie creatures. Seems good.
Fair enough. They should still have made the flavor work better for her. As it is, outside of the actual mechanics, she feels like she should be in New Phyrexia.
To be fair, they just printed the most multiplayer-oriented sphinx ever.
I love sphinxes, so I'd love a new one too.
I am greedy for multiplayer-oriented sphinxes. And I want one that is more political (like the angel) and less "i win if this is unanswered because it's almost broken in multiplayer".

It's also a bit more complicated in terms of politics than that. Every player beyond two added to the game makes the value proposition for the angel more and more complicated. Doubly so if you can blink/flicker her reliably.
But, pain artist? How is this not a BR card? What ever happened to UR being the color of passionate research and wizards with ADD? Now we're technical sadists?
It was exactly what came to my mind when I read the card. Although it is a nice card and fun to play and combo with, the flavor doesn't match. It should have been black or just have another less sadists name...
Art is not black. The combination of intellect and complete freedom can come out as a passionate expression of libertine talent. There are no limits, as they say. Being a brilliant artist unhindered by moral conventions can be a UR trait, in my opinion.

It's quite a stretch, though.
UR won't let something silly like "laws" or "the foundations of nature" interfere with it's passions, but Nin is speaking in a vaguely sexual away about torturing someone for no other reason than for the artistry of it. That might be U, but to me, it's a more intellectual Rakdos.
There is that functional bit where she finds truths (cards) from her art. Using technology to accomplish this is very blue. And Phyrexia has shown us a twisted color pie where every color can be cruel and evil. It still would have made more sense if she were a scientist instead of an artist, though.
Karador, Ghost Chieftain costs (1) less to cast for each creature card in your graveyard.
During each of your turns, you may cast one creature card from your graveyard.

The art reminds me of Baneslayer, only with more sex appeal. It's a blurry picture, but I can tell it's going to be majestic.
Also, the two Angels share an artist, Greg Staples.

I know Teysa could certainly use a playmate in my B/W EDH deck. Hell, a perfect mirror of Teysa would be ideal.

Yes, I'm nitpicking.

Multiplayer oriented cards don't mean cards that scream "KILL ME! KILL THE GUY BEHIND ME!"
