What ever they have been slow rolling us for a year, I'm sick of it, kudos for the guy who spoiled the set for us, I utterly thank you, now I can focus on real things and not speculating that MBC "can" be a deck in standard for 3 more weeks. Or trying to tell people that "metal clone" is bad because they clearly don't get it. Now I can focus on my trades and get cards I want for upcoming standard.
Well said, I agree entirely. Mister Orange's "Santa Clause is dead analogy" on SCG.com made me want to vomit. Especially since they are sellin all the spoiled cards on that very site. Deep down we are all happy to have the spoiled cards. Or why would we be reading the rumor mill where cards are spoiled every single set?
I was playing mono-green hyper-aggro infect before Mirrodin Besieged was released, just for the fun of it. That all-in playstyle of either getting a super-quick kill by unloading a hand full of pump spells onto a single attacker or fizzling out quick can be fun to play for a while, though I got bored of it and moved on. Maybe I'll try an updated version after this set hits.

A sincere question for you:
What would you rather do with a deck like that, play the 1/1 infector for G, or play some kind of mana card to be able to play a much stronger 3CMC infector on turn 2?
I imagine in practice you would have both capabilities because 4 1 drops isn't enough in an aggressive deck, but I'm curious what you would regard as the superior play.
If the answer is the mana acceleration, I'd say that that doesn't bode all that well for that infector for G.

So you're saying its Glistened or Lanwar? I prefer Glistener Elf because it can attack on turn 2, which is what the deck wants to do. If you can kill turn 2, your opponent has less answers than turn 3.
Oh no, I know all that; what I'm saying is there isn't really any reason for the emphasis to be put on "incompleat" in that sentence (or at least, I don't think there should).
Words that are conspicuous or foreign to the base language of a text are sometimes written in italics.
In terms of whether the flavor text makes sense, Phyrexians apparently don't compleat everyone; they also kill both Phyrexians and nonPhyrexians alike, and use their organs for whatever other purposes (see, for example, Porcelain Legionnaire). I also wouldn't say the Kuldotha Phyrexians are that concerned with compleating everything over whatever it is they're doing in the furnaces (see, again for example, Scrapyard Salvo).

I wouldn't quite know how to make it work post Mystical Tutor banning but in Legacy I preferred attacking with a zero-drop creature or Flying Men enhanced by Blazing Shoal removing either Reaper King or Progenitus and doubled by either Berserk or Twincast. It's in the same spirit, it's just that when you have a combo in four parts you basically need at least an eight-of of every piece and/or Serum Powder. And the Shoal lacks as much.
Nonedit at above: shouldn't you have been around just long enough to remember fully-powered Ravager affinity?
Actual edit at above: you know, this set does have an answer to one-drops in general for the low low price of two life. Works in any color.
(my sarcasm detector is broken right now but it sure sounds that way read in the voice of David Tennant)
Ill just start playing hard mono red and burn all those stupid elfs with a terrible joy in my face.
On the draw.
Turn one: Island, Sol Ring, Mox Diamond and pitch, Psionic Blast the elf.
Turn two: Island, Isochron Scepter, Mana Drain.
Holding: Ancestral Recall
I was kidding,
Trolls suck.
Anyways...
I see some synergies going on with mindcrank and my vamps.
With inninstrad incoming, I think they might be my fav deck.
Largely the former- control would need some insane kinda mise to win against modern aggro using 2000- cards. And of course Mental Misstep is going to shove my Force Spikes to the sideboard.
Glistener Elf is going to make waves, just you wait. It is basically a 2/1 for G with no drawback. When have we seen such power in recent sets? It's madness, I tell you, madness! Honestly, start investing in this guy, he'll be worth his weight in gold as soon as people catch on. You've be wise to follow that small bit of advice. Either way, I'll be cashing in once the time of "The Glistener" comes around. Just you wait, sir, just you wait.

Holy ☺☺☺☺. A 2/1 for one colored mana (except in even 1/1 trades or first strikers)? They'll bloody riot in the streets!
It was pretty much inevitable - not every second-set keyword survives to the third set while pretty much every first-set keyword does, and since the space for the Mirran mechanics shrunk into oblivion, there was little room for battlecry to stay in. While the ultimate corruption of imprint and theft of charge counters gave a little more room, Wizards still only had about 15(?) cards to play with, and probably decided to just use metalcraft, some of the artifacts matter cards, and other fitting stuff.
Also, flavorwise Battle Cry makes no sense.
The Mirrans are now VERY few in number, and the war is over.

This really annoys me, too. Wonder how noticable this will be in limited. Keep in mind that MBS didn't have that many 2-drops, either.
The other issue is that of the two red 3-drops, one has RR and the other has infect. :/
Edit: I forgot about the red Priest of Gix. That could help regain tempo.
Immolating Souleater is admittedly probably decent for red if you can get it though unblocked vs infect.

My friends like to play with set hands sometime for fun...
Not anymore!
I have fallen in love with the first 1 drop infect.

I know right? Its bonkers, as in scoop if played against you t1. Crazyness! Jace, move over, Glistener is here to take over the meta.

Problem elves?
Well, you could just Mental Misstep it....
So Turn 2 infect vs. control = control win?
