Hmm... did we skip over any other potential red spells being put into this? Leyline of Lightning? Lightning Crafter? Lightning Coils? Lightning Storm?

Heres hoping this is half as good as we all hope it is going to be.

Does this need to be mono-red? Lightning Helix seems like it could be a possiblility.

I would be really suprised if this had a foil Chain Lightning. As others have already said, red foils are fairly cheap to buy. I can't see this deck having anything that would make me want to pick it up , except maybe a foil Fork.

I'm genuinely surprised they had enough interest to do this. There are multiple copies of Premium Deck Slivers at every major chain store around here (by comparison, it's nearly impossible to find ROE boosters). Anyway, I doubt I'll pick it up unless there's something really amazing in it; making all the cards foil makes it look snazzier, but makes it a little more cumbersome for playing purposes (and unnecessarily jacks the price). If this were $20 or even $25 for a nonfoil deck, I'd be on it like white on rice.

Never before foiled burn spells sounds interesting. I'd love Price of Progress, Chain Lightning or Pyrokinesis. Or how about foiling some great burn like artifacts, Ankh of Mishra, Black Vise or Cursed Scroll would fit the bill.

Cursed Scroll is on the reserved list as is the previously mentioned Fork

Ankh of Mishra would be a good include i also wouldn't mind seeing repercussion, spellshock, pyrostatic pillar, sulfuric vortex or barbarian ring

Jackal pup and Ironclaw orcs would make some good nostalgia additions

I think they need to put an attractive burn spell in there to sell it and i think Chain lightning IS the most fitting one, you'll likely only get one in each set if it's in there...heh maybe it'll be the mythic rare

Planechase and every duel deck, sans Coalition vs. Phyrexia, sold out in 2 weeks at my local shop. While last friday they were down to their last RoE box, they still had it in stock (and about 5 copies of the Premium Deck: Slivers).

I'm ready for this. I've been playing Magic for 12 years and have never really had a burn deck. But it's just one of those archetypes everyone ought to own. For those ultra-fast games. So this premium deck will be nice to have with all those shiny foils and stuff.

I was going to buy the Sliver deck but have not gotten around to it even after my LGS lowered the price to 29.95 Canadian. They still have them in stock. I'll probably buy it with my next paycheck but Premium Deck: Slivers at least seems unpopular in Toronto.

This may actually be more popular as Legacy has a stong presence here and Eternal players love their foils.

They might put in a card from an upcoming set, like they did with planechase, archenemy, and FTV: Dragons. (They didn't do it with slivers since there weren't any slivers in WWK.) I wouldn't be surprised if they print something that's even better than Chain Lightning.

So what? Phyrexian Negator is on the reserved list and they reprinted that for the PvC Duel Deck. These dont count cause its a 'special release', all the reserve list means is it wont be printed in a new set.

They changed the reprint policy. This is the last year that they're making premium cards from the reserved list.

Wizards recently errata'd that so that they could not print cards on the Reserved List in any type of playable format. Over-sized cards are still good, playable are not.

You guys could always order from China. Almost every store here still has in stock: Duel decks (J vs C, G vs L, D vs D, and C vs P), From the Vault: Dragons and Exiled, and Premium Deck Slivers. Nobody wants them...and rightfully so. The country has 0 casual scene and these products don't appeal to spikes.

Would you mind pm'ing me sites as well, Argus? it can be difficult to get stuff like that where i am because there's no brick-and-mortar store. And, you have to fight legions of casual players to get anything at WalMart. So pretty much every duel deck and Slivers i've had to order for more than MSRP.

^Just have to say, having Brick And Mortar stores doesn't make it easier. I have 2 in my area, but both charged:
A) 100 dollars for every FTV (plus got around 5)
B) 35 dollars for Deck Builders Toolkit (WTF?)
C) 30 dollars for duel decks as soon as production stops.
D) 40 dollars for Premium: Slivers.
I hate them so much. I only use them for tourneys, cause they have fair draft prices.
