Just got the new Wizards Catalog and it has a New Premium Deck like the Slivers one from Last Years. Anyways it says....
Blaze your Path.
Baked or Fried? You choose how to burn down your opponents with this powerful, 60 - card, all-foil deck. It contains famous flames, bolts, and beats from across Magic history, including several never before released in Foil! Blaze your path to victory and serve your foes well done.
This definately sounds like something to buy. Any word on a release date with that info snippet?
No there was no release information. It shows the Elspeth Vs. Tezzeret and then the scars of Mirrodin assortment followed by the Fire and Lightning. So Seen as how they go in order I would have to say this comes out Late Sept or Early October.
These aren't really for me. I would rather just see a Fire vs. Snow duel deck or something. Blowing $35 on cards just to get some foils just doesn't seem that great. Granted, WotC needs to make product for every player, and I'm sure that there will be a lot of you that will like it.
Here's hoping for foil chain lightning and foil price of progress....maybe rolling thunder as well? Either way, this sounds sweet and if they did put 4 foil chain lightning's in there it would go for more than MSRP and would be similar to from the vault sets like FTV: Exiled and soon to be FTV: Relics. Fireblast was already a foil promo; I'm hoping there's original art foil lightning bolt in there that would be sweet seeing as how the judge promo lightning bolt is ridiculously hard to find and worth over $30.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Pure nostalgia for burn deck owners will probably make this sell pretty well. I personally can't justify spending the money since I could buy two Duel Decks: Elspeth VS Tezzeret for the price of one of these. That's just me though. I'm sure there are plenty who will love this product.
i don't think it'll be worth the price of admission.
most of the stuff you'd find in an rdw is pretty cheap to begin with and the stuff that is printed as foils already still isn't worth that much either. foil chain lightnings would be nice but if they include it it'll probably only be 1.
i dunno, it seems like a boring and uninspired choice for a premium deck. especially when there are so many more options to go with, of archetypes that are more popular.

I think you would be suprised how many younger players (12-17) and even some young adults (18-25) or so who I constantly have to listen to say, oh man I hope I get XXX in booster pack instead of just buying the singles they need to make it. That's who this type of product is slanted at.
I dont really want one but i think it will sell like crazy. I mean Sliver deck was a bad idea cause most hardcore Magic players seem to hate Slivers. So many people love Burn i just think alot will be picking this up. I also think it will be the most powerful premade deck ever easily.
Do these have alternate art? Also what in the world will the mythic be? I can think of any mythic burn spells.
