Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
Well, that leaves the original art in the dust. I think even Guay fans would have to agree.
As someone who has a Guay EDH deck, even I have to agree. I like Guay's version, but I like this one more as a whole. I do have to say the wings seem abit wonky to me though. They just don't look very winglike to me.
Excellent choice for a promo, and a great illustration. Moeller's done some impressive work and it's about time he's gotten another popular card under his belt.
I opened one last year, got two crap worldwake packs and 8x scathe zombies, which I promptly hid around my sister's apartment for her roommates to find. But, yeah, it was a piece of crap.
You, sir, have just won the internet. Congratulations.
Absolutely amazing art there. I do wish they would do standard cards for FNM though.
They mix them around. Everflowing Chalice is this month, after all. From a format perspective, the best ones to print IMO are those that are relevant to multiple formats (like Gatekeeper in November).
thats amazing-chris moeller has done outstanding art for wizards for tears-they need to use him more and not on cards with just a book on it! (see scars of mirrodin) he draws women amazingly-hopefully we will see some more art like this by chris in m12

But always the same problem with these cards: expansion symbol is ugly and the FNM watermark destroys the card.
Who's eating crow?

Probably my favorite card, too, which is a nice bonus.
