Have a helicopter drop you off out front. Light your cigar with a small Indonesian boy holding a black lotus. Then bust out a craw wurm deck with no sleeves. Raw dog shuffle, loose terribly, flip the table, leave in a hovercraft.
I'm not sure which is worse, this or the "Echo Mage looks like _____ " posts that keep showing up.
As for the promo art, I generally like most of them. I don't think Deathless Angel is improved by zooming in on the figure, but I really like how the full framed Staggershock looks with the jagged outcropping of land added for reference.
The Pathrazer looks really slick as well, and I wish that was the art they'd used for the regular version (I also really appreciate that the promo version of Pathrazer also has extended borders on it).

I think everyone can agree that Echo Mage is Michael Boatman.
As for the "zoomed in" comments... these are very bad quality mock-ups. They'll look better in real life.
Am I missing something? Are these mockups, because I was under the impression that Ulamog's Crusher had Annihilator of 2.
Poor choices of promos if you ask me, but that is just personal, as I don't play any of these cards.

And as i simply must comment on Deathless Angel, as far as the 'central breast plate' argument goes, i clearly see a navel indentation. The woman loves to get her snacks on.

Easy Dude. You're being very un-Dude.

Deathless angel definitely has other things making her look fat besides the pantie armor. Her body is definitely too big for her arms and the texture of her stomach definitely makes it look fat. Also she's got a mullet.
The last DCI sequence cards were the Worldwake Game Day cards (Kalastria Highborn was 39DCI).
I assume that 40 and 41 were going to be used for WPN promos, as has been the trend, but we suddently jumped up to 48 and 49, instead of 42 and 43 like I thought.
Staggershock - 48DCI
Deathless Angel - 49DCI
Anybody know what these other (42-47?) DCI card numbers are being used for?
Just want to end this stupid debate about how Deathless Angel is Fat. I took the time to photoshop the armor, so people can see the angel from a difference perspective.
She looks just as large in your photoshop, I don't know what your trying to prove?
Woman is BIG. Our first rotund angel, I think this is proof that WoTC is taking a step to stop discriminating against fat people in their artwork! No longer will the large one's be reserved for comedy relief as an uncommon, but will step up as rares with decent abilities!
WoTC gets two thumbs up from me for making the angel a fattie.

She's not Fat, Big, Rottund, or a Fattie, she is pretty much normal. In fact, I think the #1 reason why people around here say she is fat is because the only naked women they've ever seen are anorectic internet pron drug addicts.

Your opinion. I couldn't really give you a size of the waistline from that picture, but she is disproportionately wide. I mean very wide. she is smeared almost.
And it's rather rude to insult an entire communities taste or knowledge in women when you don't know them isn't it?
by your logic I could say that because you find her average, then the only women you've ever been acquainted with are large, grotesque ogres. It's not nice see? So lets avoid that.
And other than that, her arms are disproportionate to her thighs, as well as her midsection.
I think everyone can agree that Echo Mage is Michael Boatman.

My comments about zooming in on Deathless Angel not improving the art had nothing to do with the quality of the mockup. I didn't need a crystal clear picture of the artwork in order to see that taking a wide, sweeping image like Deathless Angel and reducing the visible area down to what's in the promo card wasn't going to be an improvement on the original.
If it helps, now that we've seen a higher quality image of the promo card, I still have the same opinion that I had before.

I wasn't insulting a community, I am insulting the porn industry, not to mention modeling in general. As far as her waist size is, its appx 10-14. Most "models" have waist sizes of 2-6, and are 5'8" + tall, which makes them stick models (nothing against the girls themselves, but rather the image that the industry is trying to promote.)
The fact that looking healthy (as per Deathless Angel image) = being fat is a testament to how far the brainwashing has come along. Anyhow, I won't ever win this argument, since it's a matter of "taste", even though every "fat" comment had nothing to do with taste, but was rather a conditioned reaction to "normal" looking women.
Well, I have to wonder what happened to alternate art for the Game Day cards. I guess Wizards just decided that since they're extended art, that makes them special enough.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I absolutely loved the alternate art - but alas, just extended.
Ah well, still cool I guess.

the only event they haven't seemed to settle on a standard for yet is Game Days: both cards are full art, but for WWK the one for attending was uncommon whereas for ROE it's common.
Well, Ajani Vengeant was also the release promo, but that was special, it was the first set they did mythics in.
However, after that, all the release promos were rare.
Say, rather, that after Lorwyn, release foils were rare, except for Ajani, when they experimented with double-releasing the promo. And starting with Shards, prerelease foils are mythic. I think that there's certainly room in the Judge Gift program for mythic promos, and as far as MPR foils go, it's still a new enough program that they haven't established a set pattern yet.

Woo. Yeah, they really can't make up their minds with this one. Regular art? Alternate art? Both full art, or only one? Both foil, or only one? What commonality are we going to release this time? I think that there's also room for a mythic promo as a Game Day prize, and I'm kind of surprised that they haven't gone there yet.

nope. not at all.
however, i like the theory of her being pregnant. even makes sense.
but there's nothing disproportionate there, that's in your imagination.

Technically not textless. However, they're still wicked.
I'm curious about this strange numbering too.
Ajani Vengeant. Malfegor. Dragon Broodmother. Vampire Nocturnus. Rampaging Baloths. Comet Storm.
Prerelease cards are Mythic.
..Oh hey, you're right, I never noticed that! So promo mythics are only prerelease.
Well, Ajani Vengeant was also the release promo, but that was special, it was the first set they did mythics in.

release promos = foil rare
gateway promos = 2 foil uncommons
