Glade I have my playset of Summoner's Trap already.
Even if you don't get to take your extra turn, its still a 15/15 with protection from almost everything. I wounder if there will be a colorless spell that can destroy creatures? I HOPE 15/15 is as big as they come.....
Is magic ready for a 20/20?
Magic's had a 20/20 since Worldwake came out. It hasn't broken the game in half yet.
I get the feeling that the Eldrazi are just rejected cards from Unhinged. These things are just stupid and they all feel like they were designed by 8 year-olds. Oh well, I guess they weren't designed for me.
I'm going to shed an uncharacteristic bit of negativity and agree somewhat. I don't see the appeal of the "Ultimatum" school of "If I manage to cast this expensive spell, the odds of you winning are very slim."
It's Batman vs. Superman. I always preferred Batman myself.
This seems legit, which worries me a lot. This critter is amazing, and potentially better than (say) Progenitus (would be) in reanimator.
How you get 15 to hard cast it, I have no idea.
progenitus is awful in reanimator. as will be all of the eldrazi. mana new-era fat monsters much have this ability, to keep reanimator from getting out of hand.

I am a fan of both the Eldrazi (Reanimator in Legacy/Eldrazi-Trap in T2) and the casual Level-upper. It seems like an activated ability like those "This ability can only be activated n amount of times" but this time, the number of times activated puts a "level" on the creature which corresponds to the new frame and gives new effects. Can anyone say Doubling Season?
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.

No seriously, this looks like the first card a new player comes up with when they start making their own cards.
"Ok, so I've got this card idea. It's a 15/15, that can't be countered, gives you an extra turn, makes you opponent sac ummmmm 6, yeah 6 cards when it attack, I guess it has flying cause that's cool, and you can't kill it with kill spells."
I understand that taking extra turns is a blue ability, I'm just saying that if they had been printed as blue creatures they wouldn't exactly fit into the colour pie.
this is broken. I'm sorry. even at 15 cmc, this is broken. my friend quit magic after cards like admonition angel and dragonmaster outcast and novablast wurm came out, and now he sure as hell isn't coming back. damnit.

Sigh. I'm getting tired of explaining this to people. Is that hard to read even a little bit of the thread?
Progenitus has a replacement effect. (That means he cannot be reanimated.) This card does not have a replacement effect. It has a goes-to-the-graveyard trigger, which can be responded to. As a result, it can be reanimated.

If God spoke to you, and commanded you to kill your own children, would you do it?
If your answer is "No," then your morality does not come from God's commandments.
If your answer is "Yes," then please, please reconsider.

You forgot the part where it only costs 5. Though I do agree that these cards are just unpleasing in concept...
Did you read the card. No O-Ring for you. The card has almost pro-everything. It's a beast if you can cast it. Now, let's see those eyes spike up just a little more.
Hrm, added the Eldrazi, but not entirely sure how to show level up properly in the spoiler, and exactly how it works. :/
Leveler seems to be a counter-based mechanic, by the looks of it. Pay cost, put a "level" counter on this card. As long as it has this many level counters, use the following data on the card. So go from line 1, to line 2 for having 1-5 counters, then line 3 for 6+ counters.
As for the spoiler, I'd just suggest using pseudo linebreaks to denote "level tiers" as printed on the card. So something like this for our Lord of Shatterskull Pass, as it would look in the spoiler:
EDIT - Maybe add a notation that the P/T changes on leveler critters?
Lord of Shatterskull Pass - 3R
Creature - (whateveritis)
Levelup 1R (1R: Put a level counter on this permanent. Levelup only as a sorcery.)
[Lv0] - 3/3
[Lv1-5] - 5/5
[Lv6+] - 6/6 - Whenever Lord of Shatterskull Pass attacks, it deals 6 damage to each creature defending player controls.
@Magus of the Bolt: Keep in mind it's protection from colored spells not permanents or cards. There's a difference. The implication is that it doesn't die to non-Wrath/Mutilate (colored) removal, and even then it'd be hard to do in the latter case of Mutilate. My point is that the way it's worded, Oblivion Ring should do the job, as well as anything else on the table.

Oblivion Ring works. The enters the battlefield trigger is not a "colored spell."

O-Ring does not target when you play it, it targets as a triggered ability when it hits the table. So, it's not a spell that targets him, it's an enchantment.

It's kind of hard to avoid that logic when you're making abilities for such big creatures.

and has protection from everything but other eldrazi, artifacts and lands
Is there anything in the wording 'Protection from colorless spells' that would make this different from other kinds of protection? For instance, is a creature, or any other permanent considered a spell once its resolved?

Protection is in blue's repitoire of keywords, but mainly from obscure things only: Horizon Drake
Blue has always had large splashy i win creatures, its not a big stretch to say annihilator can go in blue
Blue is master of counters, why can't it stop them also? Last Word and split second for uncounterability.
I didn't say they were strictly blue, they don't fit perfectly in blue; they just reflect blue the most so far

I think it corresponds to the number of Level counters one has on the card.
If you look at the card it seems pretty straight forward. It's laid out with 3 sections:
Leveler 1R - _______________ ( 3/3 )
(1-5) _____________________ ( 6/6 )
( 6+) Deals 6 damage Blah Blah ( 6/6 )
I doubt any of them will have a level higher than 6 as they intend for a D6 to be used.

I guess your right, but O-Ring still has the drawback of not being instant speed against a beast that causes you to lose a turn.
