Can anyone scan in the pre-release version art? There is just enough of a difference in comparing both (more "legs" etc) that I'm convinced that the "Purple Wrath" art isn't it.

Just for reference, this is the one on the WOTC website:
The composition is almost exactly the same, but you're right, the legs and arms differ from the prerelease version on the poster in the OP. I'm better it's the same artwork but this is an older version and they tweaked it for the card version, since they've been known to edit artwork themselves before putting them on cards.
Isn't the level up mechanic suspiciously close to the level mechanic in the Yugioh TCG? (even a card in yugioh called level up that brings the monster to the next level.)

Yes. Everything is YuGiOh. Magic is doomed. R&D is a bunch of monkeys.
The level up mechanic in Magic has no similarities to the one in Yugioh besides the concept of leveling up. Yugioh's mechanic removed your creature to search for the leveled up creature in your deck and play it for free. Magic's level up mechanic is spending resources to level up the creature. They play completely differently.
Seriously, leveling up is such a basic concept in gaming that having people accusing Magic of "copying from another game" is really sad. You guys see Yugioh/Pokemon in everything.
Whah Whah Whah, I didn't play pre-Sixth Edition. Effectively destroying mill forever as a viable win strategy is just icing on the cake.
Because players have been using Gaea's Blessing to destroy mill for years, right? You want to know why Mill is still around? Ask yourself, as a player running anything besides Ramp or Cheat, which would you rather use as sideboard hate against Mill, a fatty you'll never cast or a cheap cantrip that does the same thing?
Saying the Eldrazi titans effectively destroy mill as a viable win condition is like saying Wheel of Sun and Moon does the same thing to Dredge.

Same reply I had to people throwing the Yugioh thing around in the Speculation forum> When a person can't form their own argument for why they dislike something other than some compulsive need to follow the crowd, it's easier and more convenient to sling around wholly irrelevant comparisons to other games regardless of how asinine it is. Some times (read: often) it's like there's multiple Glenn Becks posting on the forums.
I wasn't necessarily accusing Wtoc of anything (though it may seem like it), while it is true the level up in Magic is different, than in Yugioh, I was merely speculating that it is a similar concept to the one in yugioh (while you aren't actually thinning your deck, you're just making the card more powerful by itself), as people usually find it easier to embrace concepts they are already used to using. People don't have to be so defensive when people like to compare things to the stuff they're already used to now do they? Otherwise everyone would weep at the new naturalize variant (oh wait it's Naturalize again...)

It's one thing to draw similarities and comparisons between two things every now and again, but it's a completely different story when people blindly throw it around every rumor season. It's nothing personal and I didn't mean to single you out, but ever since the frame change with 8th edition, every rumor season it gets more and more ridiculous and a lot people who make these claims aren't even actually thinking about what they're saying encircling discussions like a flock of meth-addicted hyenas waiting for a chance to say it.
The aeon thing sucks but is awesome at the same time. Absolute power house, but extremely difficult to get into play. Like some other posters have said, the reshuffle thing isn't for mill but it is to stop reanimate. It makes these cards worse. A lot worse. When I first saw these big titans I was pretty excited until I saw that clause.
Are there any good ways to cheat in creatures like this in T2 besides polymorph?

Which ever version this is, I like it more then the art on the oversized card that spoiled him. So I need a couple of this artwork... however I will not complain if the other is the prerelease art for just getting one is good enough.
I like forest emerald channel hardcast Emrakul and win lol
Psh, go for the three card combo of Lotus, Channel, Emrakul if you're going to be silly.

Especially since most decks won't max them out.

This requires a perfect hand and 3 perfect draws. I can 1-up this.
Turn 1: Forest, Arbor Elf
Turn 2: Forest, Overgrown Battlements
Turn 3: Forest, Overgrown Battlements x2
Turn 4: Eye of Ugin, Emrakul.
9 cards. Significantly easier to draw than 11.
Summoning Trap can get them into play...Maelstrom Archangel can allow you to actually cast them, to get their "on cast" bonus.

Sure you can show me god hands where this guy enters play on turn 3-4 in T2 but those god hands are rare.
Feel free to bid on my cards here!
