Remember that Rise of the Eldrazi is going to be played as Rise/Rise/Rise for it's Draft and six packs for its Sealed, meaning at uncommon there could be too many of these floating around. In Limited, this effect is utterly backbreaking. Yes, there are spawn tokens, but unless you were getting beat down very quickly (which you won't be if Wizards is to be trusted), you'd likely save this for when an actual Eldrazi comes out. It's a 2 for 1 with added tempo in the form of life gain, so it must be good in Limited.
It's quite hard to judge how good this card is, because it's better than I can even imagine. I don't play limited but I do understand how powerful any removal is, let alone a removal that hits two creatures. I think this guy rates at a first pick. I just despise the rare status for I like to use foils in my cube, and I can see it going for about $12.
I am definitely adding it to my cube by the way.
I also can see white black control coming about since blue is severely lacking. The enemy fetches are nice too. Wall of Omen, Day of Judgement, Consuming Vapors, Sorin Markov, Path to Exile, Doom Blade, Sign in Blood,
Love all the talk about mono black, why doesn't Bu or Grixies (which actually has solid finishers) get any love? Can easily see this as a 2 of to go with bolts, terminates and 3 consume the meeks. Once you add Jace 2.0 and cruel... things just get stupid.

B/U's problem has been Great Sable Stag. This card helps out tremendously on that front.

As does Inquisition of Kosilek, and Culling the Weak, meaning the deck could be well on it's way to fighting off the little green deer that was created to destroy Faeries.
One spell that kills two creatures, gains you life for their toughness and is splashable? Uber good. Will see play in T2 and Extended. Won't see legacy/vintage play but will make impact elsewhere. A-.

I can hardly imagine that in limited, when you play an Eldrazi, you have no other creatures on the table. Most likely you will have 1-2 walls and some small critters running around.
Nevertheless, this is a nice card to have in limited. Don't know if it's constructed worthy.

Culling the weak already does everything this can do, and does it better..
you guys must mean Consume the Meek. Culling the Weak is an Exodus card (that does nothing to Stag ;))
in that case, by "better" do you mean killing your own creatures as well as costing more and not gaining you any life? if so, then yeah...it's miles better.
I think this is a fake, border is very weird I doubt this would even be a rare. Seems like a common. Otherwise, i guess its playable.
Double edict with lifegain seems like a common? what planet are you living on?
This is awesome. Finally some good control cards. Thanks wizards for waking up. Now how do we build this black based control deck? Mono? Grixis? UB? hmmm....

Mark Rosewater: "We won't print contstructed utility cards at Mythic."
Nope, you'll print format defining, absolutely necessary cards at mythic instead.
I know that i'll be running this is my ub control, and will probably only be siding it out against mass swarms of eldrazi, just so i can side in consume the meek or something like that to more affectively get rid of the lil' 0/1s.
At first I thought this needs your opponent to have two creatures then I realised how good it is to make someone sacrifice their only creature then get the timewalk (Tempo not card advantage) of your opponent choosing not to play a creature the next turn. Jund will not be scared of this card because most of the time they have Thrinax, Saprolings or goblins to sacrifice (or they don't have two creatures) Against Bant or Naya or Allies this is really good.
also, I remember having a little vampire with edict on him....
This card is quite bad, and sure it is not a rare. Culling the weak already does everything this can do, and does it better. Then there are so many good and diversified removal spells in T2 that this is mostly useless.
You better hope you don't favour Naya or Bant or Allies or anything that doesn't like sacrificing two creatures because if you do you'll be eating your words. Jund won't mind this and neither will control decks without many creatures but every other deck will grow to fear this. Getting double Consuming Vapoursed will become like double blightninged, really painful.
Does this really need to be rare? It seems like it could be a fine card for limited. (Probably weak, actually, given all the spawn tokens running around)

Well I think this definitely beats the sideboard option of running Fleshbag Marauder or stretching your mana-base for Gatekeepers in a non-mono colored deck.
I'll have to wait for the dust to settle after everythings been spoiled but this might even have a place in my Jund sideboard; remove what I can with other removal first and then cast this to force removal on things I can't deal with - plus the rebound and lifegain is a major bonus.
i see the obvious vamp and MBC inclusion but what about jund? It is a built in two for one and lifegain might give it gas in the mirror, or a bit more draws at least.
i could see this possibly replacing garruk with two copies and i dont think it would really be bad for a deck that plays mostly at sorcery speed anyway.
OK so lets think about this, to those saying this isnt that good or its too good at rare, Barter in Blood This card saw play in a few decks mostly just MBC but it was considered to be pretty good. This new card blows it out of the water, nuff said.

seems good

Seriously though, the card is quite good. Not a money rare, but good.
