Not sure if I'll run one or two in my Shadowheart Eldrazi deck, but there will definately be a spot for him...
Although I do think I'll just keep a plie of four of each non-Spawnsire Eldrazi with the deck at all times incase by some random twist of fate I get off the ultimate. It won't be a Sideboard, it will be a "Incase of mana, break glass" pile.
EDIT: It just occured to me. It says Eldrazi cards. NOT creature specific! While we're amassing a stupid big ☺☺☺☺ing army, let's go dusting to rid the opponent's of everything else. Nothing can stand in the way at that point, right?
lol, you can play changelings too if you don't have eldrazi
EDIT: Also, I "like" how you need to sink into the ability to be able to use the ability
The token ability is irrelevant most of the time: why create spawns when you could have used the mana you spent on this card to play an actually good Eldrazi that would win you the game, at a comparable rairity level?
because those eldrazi spawn tokens are the key to beating those other "good" eldrazi at the same cost. For 8 a turn, you can completely pin down kozilek. Once you get 12 mana a turn, you actually end up outpacing him. And all the while hes forced to deal with your attacks
Hes an absolute monster in eldrazi vs eldrazi just because of this ability (and his 11 toughness)
For an Eldrazi, it's kinda cool. I'd consider the final ability flavour more than anything else. The size and token generation are pretty nice already. The annihilator is kinda bonus imo.
So I want my entire SB to be:
4 Ulamog
4 Kozilek
4 Emerakul
3 [Insert Colorless Fat Eldrazi Here]
Also this is way to easy to break...
This + Three Heartstone = 1: 2 tokens, sac a token get 1, spend get 2, wash; rinse; and repeat.
well those 3 are legends, and then if you can't win with like, what, anniahlator 16, an extra turn, 30 power, and 4 extra cards and a vindicate, you suck anyways, so you can keep your other 12 SB slots.

Mark Rosewater: "We won't print contstructed utility cards at Mythic."
Nope, you'll print format defining, absolutely necessary cards at mythic instead.
I am making this deck for sure. And I WILL activate that 20 mana ability SOMEHOW. Just once in my life it will be done. Just to see the look on peoples faces.
There are lots of ways to make infinite mana in this game, then you just need a Wargate or something to get this guy.
Bonus points if the Conspiracy thing works cause I'm pretty sure I own about 100 Plague Rats.
...Wow. Have we really gotten to a point in which people can say "What, that card only makes the opponent sacrifice one permanent? Next." without getting looked at strangely?

Conspiracy does work with this card so that you will be able to get all of your Plague Rats as well as every other creature in your collection making it the most epic win of all time.
Edit: Well it would be the second most, the most would be to fetch 20 Chimney Imps and a Madrush Cyclops or something else to give them haste with this, because who doesn't want to beat someone down exclusively with Chimney Imp.
I apologize for the length (I tend to need to follow my train of thought to the end before proceeding to the next, resulting in overly long posts, papers, and monologues in conversations) and for the copious amount of parentheses.
At first I was thinking "BROKEN" but after a little thought, it's pretty terrible. I mean if you get a setup in standard where you can make 20 mana all at once, or somehow keep omnath alive long enough to accumulate 20 mana, you could just fireball and win instantly. Or just attack with a huge omnath and not need an army of eldrazi.
I'll probably make a deck with this dude for casual funtimes though. It's fun to live the dream in casual games.
I love how the big ability is only going to be relevant in casual games.
In EDH, wish effects do nothing because you have no sideboard. In any sort of constructed format, wasting a bunch of sideboard slots on a bunch of massive dudes as part of a combo is completely a waste of deck space.
This card is awesome and amazing, but absolutely sucks for any real game of magic, unfortunately.
Also, I was totally right about the 20 in the orb.
I didn't quite pick up on that, but now that I have I completely agree with you. This is DEFINITELY a mythic card, whereas a lot of the mythics we've seen aren't.
Am I correct in thinking that the 4-card rule still applies between cards in your deck and cards you cast into the game from outside the game? Like how you can't Wish for a 5th copy of a card in your deck?
yes mythic is only for the money- to sell more boxes. i actually wish all mythic were playable, so when i pull one i'm not thinking "oh yeah, throw it in the $1 binder" However, they usually put really cool artwork on the mythics so it is fun to alter them. The problem I am noticing with this set is that 95% of the rares completely suck and are useless. Maybe some will be better when the shards block rotates out; we'll see I suppose. Most of the mythic are completely unplayable in this set. So we'll either be buying several cases of boxes to get playsets of the 1-2 useable cards in the set.. I hope not! Because trying to buy them on ebay is going to be way too expensive.

Oh my god, timmygasm. IT SHALL BE DONE
them: "Yo dude, what's with the box full of Little Girl?"
me: "Don't worry about it."
As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.
wishing for a card outside of your deck typically only applies to your sideboard, that's why you can't get a 5th copy of something (b/c you can't have a 5th copy in your sideboard).
i wonder though, for edh, since you don't have a sideboard, can you wish (or use spawnsire of ulamog) for any cards in your collection? (as per the text on the card)

Hmmmm..... screw the Plague Rats then... Time to start hoarding Relentless Rats!!
Oh and 20 mana is a lot, but if you can push a little further to 22 mana, you can copy the ability with a Rings of Brighthearth and cast TWICE as many infinite creatures!!!11

Ummmmm... pretty sure it's the opposite of weak. The term you are looking for is "impossible to play".
Card is jank, but it is awesome at the same time. I think this is the first time I wonder, "why the hell isn't this mythic?".
I'll probably make a deck with this dude for casual funtimes though. It's fun to live the dream in casual games.

You have given me a new goal in life, uberdylan. Conspiracy, this guy, 1000 Little Girls and a Flame-kin Zealot.
IT WILL BE DONE.
