(Seems his card art for the new Tinker was quite prophetic.
Update - Mar 24:
From Amazon: From the ashes of defeat, the planeswalker Tezzeret will rise again. Beaten to within an inch of his life and left for dead by the psychic sorcerer Jace Beleren, Tezzeret has lost control of the Infinite Consortium—an interplanar cabal he built from the ground up to achieve the sort of power and influence few in the Multiverse have ever achieved. Now he must turn to a former enemy for help: the dragon Nicol Bolas, perhaps the only being in the Multiverse powerful enough to get him back on his feet.
It's widely known that [EDH] is very broken. Building a superdeck is quite easy. So what defines you as a player is [...] how you show restraint and creativity while still remaining a competitive player and a good sport.
the only problem with urza is that he is an oldwalker, so its abilities would be like:
+3: remove up to ten target permanents from the play
-2: win the game
-8: kick your opponents in the face, then win the game
starting loyalty: 100
Ahhh yes, I'm personally hoping that the main villain of New Phyrexia is Loc-Narch, who will be banished from the plane of Loc-Narridon and returned to it's tainted spherical form.
Haha! I love that you were attentive enough to catch Glimmervoid, but not to catch that the subject of the photo is totally not a dude.

I'm not going to lie. I have no idea what you're referencing.

Like, at all.
Aww man. You mentioned Heavy Metal, I thought you were referencing the 80's metal cartoon movie that had a hilariously evil sphere that warps space and energy around it. Stream it, it's pretty much every shameful and awesome thing the late 70's early 80's metal movement is responsible for.
For further clarification, the name of the sphere is the Loc-Nar.

Hah no, I was just talking about the genre of music

I have struggled for years to find the words that could accurately describe the Heavy Metal movie to laymen. And now, at long last, I have them.

Have a helicopter drop you off out front. Light your cigar with a small Indonesian boy holding a black lotus. Then bust out a craw wurm deck with no sleeves. Raw dog shuffle, loose terribly, flip the table, leave in a hovercraft.

Thank god someone has actually seen it, I was starting to feel like a big weirdo. And since you have and likely will see it once again at some point (it kinda just shows up every so often, know what I mean?), make sure to think of the Mirari at some point if you haven't. Heavy Metal is pretty much analogous to the entirety of Odyssey/Onslaught blocks; nonsensical action, awful characters muscled beyond reason, mystery sphere at the center of the plot that never adds story progression past it's first instance of 'wrecking everything rahhh.'
More on topic, I have pretty high hopes for this. A return to Tezz could be quite fun, and since it could also mean potential involvement of Karn (obvious and easy to write in) or Bolas (maybe not in the story proper, but in flashbacks? I miss AoA Bolas) I think I can get behind this novel.
THIS. Also, I'm gonna go watch the 'Heavy Metal' episode of South Park now. But eff downloading/streaming the movie, man. The horrified look on that little girl's face as the orb speaks to her...
*shudder* Gave me nightmares when I was a young'in.

So hoping that this confirms what some of my friends and i have been thinking that we are in fact going to Phyrexia for the first time and while there Karn will show up and at the end of it all Phyrexia is no more but Mirrodin.
The reasoning is that Mirrodin is a future set and if i remember right Karn created Mirrodin and it was never said from what it was created from if anything at all.
Just a bit to think about.
Um... isn't Glissa dead? And this is way in the future after the original Mirrodin block, no?
(spoiler alert)
Glissa is slain near the end of the Fifth Dawn book, but is resurrected by Slobad, at the cost of his (very newly acquired and activated) planeswalker spark.

Tezzeret's story, perhaps?
(Apologies if this is in the wrong section).

Update - Mar 23:
The cover art has been released. And sadly it's just vanilla Tezzeret's art.

Hmm...Karn rescues Tezzeret and tells him about Mirrodin?

Yes. Yes. A thousand times, yes. Would love something like that. Something (besides Bolas) to tie the new Walkers to the old, and the old stories.
Ooooo..... Glissa and Slobad return as well?
No, Glissa, Slobad and the head of Geth were left alive by Karn at the end, as I guess the new over-seers over Argentium.
And there is no set timeline or even really any hints in times of when the Mending occured and current storylines take place.

Karn isn't a Planeswalker anymore. Get over it.
I was wrong.
