You guys wouldn't be surprised if Balance was reprinted? Really? Have you ever played with the card or against it? Its beyond just powerful. There's reasons its restricted in Vintage and banned in Legacy. A reprint in a standard format will never happen, period.

Yep! i thought the same thing as soon as i saw this art..."Fixed Balance" and it's more relevant since there is a "White PlanesWalker" coming to Zendikar.
I know Gidion is mentioned to be a White Card but i cant help it to see the Blue on him. The ropes around his arms and hands have the same(or very similar) symbols that you always see around Jace on the comics.
So could it be White-Blue? or White-Red-Blue?
Or if Gideon is all about law and order, and there's talk of a Balance reprint, my guess is that Gideon's ultimate ability is basically Balance (maybe to include PWs in the Balance effect). It makes sense flavor wise if he is fighting against the Eldrazi. He would basically say: "If an opposing Eldrazi makes me sacrifice permanents (more importantly my fellow creatures), I'm going to make him pay for making me do that! (in the form of Balance)." I could also see it being the first ultimate that we see that can be used immediately (maybe he costs something like 2WU or 2WW and starts at 4 with his "Balance" ability at -4).

With the advent of Komarck, by the way, I wonder what will happen to Greg Staples? I know that sounds nonsensical, but Komarck's art somehow remind me to Greg Staples..... perhaps it's the glorious feel of the arts (most apparent in Kazandu Blademaster)
In the first link, the final piece, with the woman crying tears of blood, is nothing short of a compelling and beautiful work of art.
I will be buying a few boxes of this set, even just to collect the cards for their phenomenal artwork. Seriously, I haven't been this excited about the art for a Magic set since Shards (which really wasn't too long ago).
What's with the vector-art bloodstains on Sarkhan, though?
That image was captured mid-*****slap. They aren't stains but blood splatter flying through the air off of his staff.
With this new art for Sarkhan, I wonder if maybe we won't see Ugin, the Spirit Dragon in card form, but maybe instead his ultimate will summon some kind of Avatar? "Put a legendary 10/10 colorless Dragon Spirit Avatar creature token with shroud and "This creature is unblockable" named Ugin onto the battlefield," or something of the sort.

i actually really liked the art with the freckles too, you almost never see that depicted. everyone is always so pristine.
Nothing new: Lorwyn Ponder have merfolk nipples. It seems they stopped stupid censorship motivated only by one country (skulls for China, nipples for USA).
FYI, Eventide was the last set to be censored in China. Our Shards block, M10 and Zen have been the same as everyone else's. The art censorship is over in China, forever.
