The 4th is my favorite as well; that picture is going to inspire a thousand and one DnD characters (mostly clerics or paladins, I'll bet).

Have a helicopter drop you off out front. Light your cigar with a small Indonesian boy holding a black lotus. Then bust out a craw wurm deck with no sleeves. Raw dog shuffle, loose terribly, flip the table, leave in a hovercraft.
BTW, is it just me or is there something wrong with that angel art?
A: her wings seem off-center, like she was pasted on top of them.
B: her hair seems like it's too far off to one side, and her left calf was pained for @*($&@.
As beautiful as it was at first glance, it now looks real bad.
I know this was from the first page, but I would like to second this. If you look at the card for more than a couple seconds, you realize how off it looks. It looks like it was painted in pieces and doesn't seem to share a lot of the art direction on angels from ZEN/WWK. Otherwise, many of these are amazing, and I can't wait to open some packs of RotE.
Not nearly enough love for the Mark Tedin Eldrazi. That thing is just incredibly cool looking.
Definitely agree. It has a lot of the old-school Mark Tedin feel, like a lot of his stuff from Ice Age and Fallen Empires. He is perfect for giving that creepy, Lovecraftian, alien look to the Eldrazi.
Yeah, the Eldrazi featured in pics #5 and #6 is pretty terrifying. Much more monstrous than anything I can remember seeing in this game so far. I love it.

Several years ago, WotC apparently surveyed Magic players across the globe. They found that people liked turning things sideways, and hated LD. This is the result:

I do admit a second look on the wings reminds me to the Xth (9th) ed Serra Angel: The wings are just tucked there.
But then again most of the time Angel arts are often flawed when it comes to the wings: Frontal poses of Angels often feel like the wings are hovering behind the back instead of growing out of the back, something you can easily note when you take into account the hair of those angels.
High quality art of the new Sarkhan! Finally we can clearly see the spirit dragon in the background. I never noticed how red his eyes glowed until now as well.
Epic Battle in the making! Too bad they're all going to die. That Eldrazi iz bizarre beyond any we've seen so far. WOTC did a good job with the alien feel of them.
True, it's not confirmed, but it's beyond reasonable doubt at this point.
According to Sed's, it is confirmed there will be at least two planeswalkers in this block. We have art for Sarkhan Vol, so it would be silly to rule him out. Now we have art for a second PW who matches the description of Gideon, a PW who said he would travel to Zendikar in order to meet up with Chandra. So he has travel plans there and we have art that looks like him.
Confirmed? No. Is it Gideon? Yes.
I find interesting that there are at least two arts of walkers fighting the Eldrazi - Jace in action and Gideon after the slaughter. I can even imagine the Gideon pic to be a global removal card. Interestingly, Gideon's armor is gold it this pic, as you would expect, not bluish.
@Tezz - yeah, we have no official confirmation, but frankly, the signature whip-glove weapon leaves no doubts...
Tedin's Eldrazi art was an inevitability. That guy just know his tentacles....
Sarkhan looks REALLY badass. Nice catch with the spirit dragon in the background, I did not catch it.
But the most impressive image, at least for me, is the girl bleeding into the pearl.
It is perfect to have them in hi-res.

The art of the girl bleeding onto the pearl. Holy sweet merciful lord is it good. DAMN. I LOVE IT.
She has freckles! I love her instantly for having freckles!
And there is something that distinctly bugs me about Gideon. His Sural was never described as being part of his gauntlet.... Hell he THREW the damn thing like bolos.
Does anyone else agree with me that the colored things around gideon makes me assume he is red-blue instead of White?
maybe his ultimate will change all targets of spells played by your opponent (swerve-ish)? but that would make him pretty weak against agro decks right?

it'd have to be a MASSIVE shift of character for him to suddenly become red.
And I am very excited about Gideon and Sarkhan Vol. Perhaps Sarkhan Vol will now have some RB tendencies. Gideon, well, I hope he is monowhite, I want a replacement of Elspeth.
These illustrations are amazing. The girl with the necklace and the Vampire are awesome. The angel makes me think there is going to be a balance type card as well.

Gideon needs to have at least white in his color in order to keep the balance of the planeswalkers.
Just a shot in the dark, but those things the angel is carrying doesnt really look that much like scales like the ones you would see in a balance like card. With Path to Exile leaving standard in the next block, I could easily see a replacement for it. And this would somewhat fit into the whole thing about the fixed reprint from alpha via Swords to Plowshares just some food for thought on that one. This is all assuming that the Eldrazi will not be easy to kill off.
The so called "vampire" picture may not be a vampire at all. Upon closer examination, yeah...it would fit into the theme, but that woman looks more like some sort of sorceress or something.
The girl bleeding into the glowing vial or as everyone seems to have come to the conclusion that it's a pearl...is by far my favorite art. I dont think it will be black. This looks too much like a white card to me.
The fact that at least 2 PW are rumored to be in this set, I am sort of hoping for a PW that represents the Eldrazi somehow...a colorless PW if you will...that would be pretty sick.
All in all..the artwork is really beautiful and I hope this set is better than WW, cause I was less than thrilled with it...after such an awesome set like Zen...WW seemed a bit...bland. So here's hoping for an exciting conclusion to the block and the rise to the next block which I predict will be artifact/colorless themed.
PS. lol..I just noticed that my avatar sorta looks like an Eldrazi...

Whoah! Now that we have Gideon in HQ, I saw Aleksi Briclot's sig! They sure like him in making the art for Walkers. However, I like other artists to have a chance in doing their art. LOR walkers were ok to have him paint them as they were special kinda like quintuplets, but for the rest I was hoping others would render them.

My vote goes to Véronique Meignaud (she is in Brussels btw :D) she doesnt have much art yet, but the art she has is great... i love it....
gotta have a binder with every single card she made and will make (signed)!
Speaking of Veronique, I'm pretty sure she did the art for the Eldrazi spawn. I didn't finish reading this entire thread, but I haven't seen this anywhere yet.
The second picture is titled "thrull" and is licensed by WotC. It looks very Eldrazi Spawn like to me.

This guy, would either eat up several turns worth of mana to get a slow permanent that relies on your already have some board presence (after wasting said mana), or dies without generating any advantage.
And Gideon fighting Eldrazi head on like that? Even Sorin didn't slice the big guys with his sword.... (okay, Teeth of Akoum book cover shows him using his sword, but most certainly against a vanguard)
Thats because he is fighting for the Interplanar Catholic Church there you get everything you need to kill an Eldrazi like a prayer book, holy water and the best of all a cool arm Whip which beats everything in your Way
Overall nice Art glad we finally got a Big Art for the PW's hurray for Sarkhan being possesd by a new Dragon I recently think it's a hobby of him.

I don't think that anybody have noticed this here yet, but that angel doesn't have a halo. Did the wake of Eldrazi change everyone in Zendikar?
High quality art of the new Sarkhan! Finally we can clearly see the spirit dragon in the background. I never noticed how red his eyes glowed until now as well.
High quality image of Gideon. Nice to finally see him all in detail. Is it me or do his eyes look a little to wide?
He looks like a twisted Kor version of urza... hpwever I know for a fact that he's just meditating or something. No Urza links here.
I love this image. I hope it's a good a vampire themed artifact or enchantment, as that what it looks like.

I reiterate, the Eldrazi are certainly alien. Down right ☺☺☺☺ing weird... ah, but I love it so.
Gideon kicking some Eldrazi ass. Yes please.
New Wallpaper! I was hoping for a hi-res image of this one.
I seriously want to know what this card does, the art is so amazing.
A hi-res image of out vampire princess.
Apparently snaring an Eldrazi is near impossible.
I never noticed it until now, but is that another Eldrazi sticking out of Kozilek in the background on his right side?
Wow, she's beautiful. I hope her card is good.
Wonder what this titan does... he looks so... happy?
Ooooo pretty mountains and flaoty hedron stars...
