I just bought 7 sets of Eyes of Ugin at $15 per set including S&H. Hopefully this baby goes up.
Yikes. I got all 6 on my sets with shipping for $15. I think stores are charging the projected high value now and that looks to be between $4-$5. I wish you luck in your investment, but I'm guessing that you'll just be the guy with a tradebinder full of Eyes. It's okay, I have 60 Lich's Mirrors.

I hate to break it to you, but it won't. There won't be any colorless Eldrazi spells outside of RoE, so unless the set has some rediculously playable Eldrazi cards in it, the Eye is going to be good for all of three months for Block Constructed. I hope your investment works out as people hunt for the card in RoE, but seeing as WWK is the set preceeding it, it's not like there's going to be a gap of a year or so for the stock to start thinning out and make the eye a chase card.
If it was something generic like colorless spells cost 2 less to cast, then it'd be worth something. But something this specific would be like stocking up on a bunch of Splice into Arcane cards in the hopes that the next Kamigawa set would make them worth a mint.

Actually you don't know that there won't be eldrazi outside of ROTE. Based on the set name as well as the slow build up to it in zendikar, I'm guessing that this is going to be a recurring aspect of the magic storyline for awhile. My guess is that the Eldrazi will be the ones who corrupt Mirrodin in the next block.
...so, for the Eye of Ugin. If Worldwake introduced Zendikons (land turning into creatures), then I guess the Eldrazi might be creatures who might have a land type on them. (since land are colorless after all) Then they might cause trigger landfall, even if they're creatures. However, if they're creature/land [quite impossible] it'll might hinder the growth of land you gain. Unless they can go around it, which may go over the mana curve. (uh oh, destroy land? :p) Overall, they're just my guess.

Creatures that have land types are also land. They aren't spells and therefore don't need cost reduction.

First of all WWK will only be out for 3 months before ROE comes out. Once ROE comes out the draft format will be ROE ROE ROE meaning less WWK will be cracked. Also it is not a good value to open WWK cards as there are fewer chase rares meaning less packs will be opened in general which would reduce the number of Eyes circulating. Add to the fact that it's a mythic there is no telling how high this card can rise if there are playable colorless Eldrazi cards. The fact that it was sold at $1 per set initially to $4 per card now is a good forshadowing of what is to come. I don't see why this card won't reach Eldrazi Monument value.
