My bet is that you can't tap mana for Eldrazi, only use lands that lower their cost till you hit 0. This would seem to make sense with the hints we were given and how that land works, especially considering how they hate making lands that don't tap for mana.
And to anyone who says, "Durrpdurr it's on da official spoilar," I still have the bitter taste of Gilded Lotus being added to the official spoiler for M10.
I agree with you. I remember the Golden Lotus spoil. They presold on ebay for an arm and a leg. Not saying it's fake, but it just doesn't seem to add up.
It was already talked about in the other thread that got deleted.
Really? Could've fooled me. Sure seemed like a lot of people were failing to put two and two together. Oh well, I guess I still feel somewhat vindicated. Thanks!
There was a thread for these, but it was deleted, presumably for the protection of the rumormonger.
Eye of Ugin
Legendary Land R
Colorless Eldrazi spells cost 2 less to cast. 7, T: : Search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it and put it in your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Illus. James Paick #136/145
.
this card reminds me so much of the spoiler of ROE that was up on the rumor mill for about 20 minutes.
Eldrazi Temple
Tap: 1 colorless to your pool
Tap: 2 colorless to your pool. Spend this only on colorless Eldrazi spells or permanents.
Has anyone noticed that it says "Colorless Eldrazi spells"? As far as I know there is only one colorless changeling spell, and thats Runed Stalactite. So, its not exactly going to be that great in a changeling deck.
And yeah, you can pay 7 and search for an artifact, but do you really want to (essentially) miss your landdrop for a turn for that? When you can just play Fabricate instead?
I'm very, very skeptical that this is real. If it is, im going to hate the day that I open this, because imo, its less useful than One with Nothing of Blood Funnel.
Edit: I was wrong, the stalactite doesnt even have changeling. Are there ANY colorless Eldrazi spells right now?
Edit2: Oh, yeah, Mycosynth Lattice THAT MAKES THIS CARD PLAYABLE!!!!! Lmao... rediculous...
Selective memory, remove everything except seismic assault. Treasure hunt the next turn and you've probably won the game.
Not consistent, but fun.
Probably a better way to do it might be having Lightning Storm as suggested in a thread in New Card Discussion. But guess you could do it without selective memories...

Mycosynth Lattice only make cards fetchable by EoU. Doesn't fully maximise it, no?
We should just see if they plan on screwing ZZW drafts then.
Well with our luck selective memory will become good like the card one with nothing. Hold on to them when they get there day...Or just make fun of them.

It's very likely that Eldrazi spells will be colorless creatures but not artifacts. Dunno if that's happened before, but it does make it so that Fabricate doesn't find them, and makes Eldrazi somewhat better in the face of artifact hate.
(They may also require colored mana, but have '~ is colorless' tagged on them.)

Don't you love how so many people apparently think they're the first one to realize something, when if they had bothered to read the threads they're posting in they could easily see that it's been mentioned at least two or three times before them?
Seriously, it gets so tiring seeing a "Hey guys, I think this may have something to do with Ghostfire" at least once on every page of a thread. A lot of clutter can be avoided if people read topics first and see if their comment or question has already been made.

Has this been discussed much? Because that makes a lot of sense to me as well. In any case, if Eye of Ugin is, in fact, in this set I am getting 4 pronto, along with Jace.

Beauty of mine, sit before me. Let me peruse you and remember you... always like this.

This makes the most sense to me, especially considering the story they're giving behind WWK. What better way for the land to fight back than for it to not give mana anymore?

Conspiracy + the following could make use of the "cost 2 less" ability:
Ersatz Gnomes
Ghostflame Sliver
Moonlace
Mycosynth Lattice
And Brood Sliver, and probably some others too. I didn't try to catch all of them, just give a couple examples.
Edit: Some manlands too. Genju of the Realm, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, Mutavault, etc.
R Citizen Cane (Feldon of the Third Path)
Not to mention it refers in the flavor text to "eye of Ugin" which is mentioned as one of the cards on here correct?

It could be that the source gave proof to the mods via PM. That happens a lot when the proof is something that could get the poster in legal trouble.

Hahaha! I love this idea.
4x Seismic Assault
4x Treasure Hunt
4x Scalding Tarn
4x Cascade Bluffs
4x Halimar Depths
25x Mountain
15x island
Not the best deck, but it could win in theory.
1800+ in Limited
3-0ing after drafting 17 non-basics in Cube
