On That Note, all these cards may just be signs of a new meta. I'm looking forward to the rest of WWK.
Teh wind zendikon teases mii heart so. <3 Release now plz.

The Lavaclaw looks like blaze when i want it (oh wait it is.) Zendikar manlands are Treetop Village,Mutavault and Ghitu Encampment on a shot of red bull. Wonder what the RG one looks like.
Skill is an ability that relates more so to the type of deck that's built and how said player pilots it. It also relates to the ability to assess the board and use the cards available to you in the most optimal way relative to each situation.
When a deck is filled with above par cards and every play is solid, there comes a diminishing need to "think" for the lack of wanting to use a better word.
I really like it all, paricularily Canopy Cover and the Zendikon. I can see Canopy Cover in limited but I'm not sure about it reaching beyond that. If blue gets good in WW, then this will be a nice addition. If not, the what a waste of a good card.

Blue
You value knowledge, logic, and deceit. You love to pursue wisdom but also to manipulate and deceive. At your best, you are brilliant and progressive. At your worst, you are treacherous and cold. Your symbol is a water droplet. Your enemies are green and red.
interesting combo....
Wind Zedikon + fecthland = 4 landfall triggers and 2 basic lands.
in other words this zendikon is special because it is another fetchland for one blue mana!

well it makes a total of four landfall triggers, you can make two happen at once on two occasions. or three on one turn and one on another.
turn 1: play fetch.
2: play other land, put zendicon on fetch procceed to use flier until satisfied.
3: sac fetch, get land, fetch goes to hand. play fetch again, sac it get another land, 3 landfall triggers in one turn.

I think I'd prefer Into the Roil on the Wind Zendikon, actually. Have to leave mana open for it, but it cancels the path, instead of it just targeting another of your creatures (if you have any). The mana boost from Trace doesn't do much, since you want to be attacking with it, unfortunately.
Now I'm wondering about the interaction of the red Zendikon on the artifact manland if its blocked by Kor Firewalker. I suppose it would depend if you activate the land itself? Hmmm. Tired, will Ponder this later.

My Clan Is Dead.... Long Live The Izzet! Johnny, born and raised. Always lookin' for the Next Level Combo. Thanks to Bornover of FHLS for the banner!
The wind zendikon seems nutty in limited... blue doesn't get 2/2 flying, sometimes hasty beaters for U.... that's white's thing.. Meh.. it is a WIND zendikon after all. I guess there's always exceptions to every rule.
EDIT: I can't blame Wizards for being afraid to print a creature with trollshroud... Ascetic has been around for over a decade, and it had *** beside it the whole way. With DoJ not getting rid of regenerators, Ascetic would break the format wide open.
EDIT EDIT: Wind Zendikon would be a good way to protect Quicksand it seems. Block baneslayer, sac Quicksand, then Agony Warp for the rest.. nevermind.. 2-for-1's are bad, no matter what they do (save for winning the game). That said, balls to the wall red would cry at a Quicksand in play when they don't have ruinblaster.
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.
The Nihil Stone has really powerful starts like
T1 Stone
T3 Blightning/Mind Rot
Against Aggro, you can even race them with the burn spells as they have less cards to discard. The ideal is to win 2 turns after emptying their hand; meanwhile you can defend with stuff.
Against Control it's game unless:
1. They removed the Stone somehow
2. They manage to stay away from an empty hand by massive card draw
Both can be solved by a heavy discard suite led by a Duress.
The main problem with the card is that you can only play 4, and you need it early. But with this playing The Rack and Nyxthid playing Tarmogoyf, the discard deck has a chance.
(There's no replacement for the Augur, though. Taking 2 cards for 1B is invaluable.)
If I tap Dread Sanctuary for mana then in the combat step pay 4 to make him an artifact creature will he be able to block or will he be tapped since the land was taped?

I think the land is just removed from combat, because it is no longer a creature.
Agreed. And the art! Oh my God, the art! I'm so glad Wizards finally hired Jason Engle. His stuff deserves to be on cards.
:symu::symb: Blue-Black Control | Red Deck Wins
Legacy
Elves
Commander
:symu::symr::symg: Riku of Two Reflections | :symb::symg::symw: Ghave, Guru of Spores

megrim is much more consistent damage, not that you are ever short of just generic win conditions when they have 0 cards in hand
If for some odd reason you would prefer a basic land over a 2/2 flyer, Yeah, it sounds like a nifty idea.
T1 Stone
T3 Blightning/Mind Rot
