Saw this in a store I frequent (they're giving it out in a tournament soon), and didn't see this spoiled anywhere. Wording may not be absolutely correct (unsure stuff in brackets) and no pictures, sorry.
The first ability is essentially Seedborn Muse. Whether it's to untap your board at the end of your turn or untap everyone's board during your untap step, I'm unsure (forgot), but it's probably the latter.
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.
Definitely gotta pick this one up! Really hope it's not for Zendikar Game Day, because isn't that Halloween weekend (I think I remember being on a terrible choice of a weekend), because I need to get me one to keep up my complete collection of Planechase I plague my friends with.
Also, could someone clarify Pyrulea for me? The name is tickling my memory, but I just can't quite figure it out.

Mr. Jiggles comin' to town and gonna take you on down to the hootenanny, so y'all best be lookin' out for a good, jiggly time.
Well, now we have it. It is a universal Seedborn Muse effect. NIIIIIICE. My friends will be rolling like mad to get the hell off that plane (I can tap out to summon with my control deck and still have my counterspells ready to stop them next round? HA! TAKE THAT!) They don't take well to my love of countermagic.

Pyrulea sounds like "Hyrule" to me. Maybe we see Link someday?
No. This is a pure coincidence.

Did you read The Thran? The plane was featured there for the only time. It was a place where the Thran planeswalker Dyfed took the young Thran doctor Yawgmoth when he accused her of being a fraud and claimed that something like "planeswalking" is a total nonsense, and awakened the lust in him to become a walker, something that he never achieved.
Essentialy, it is a Dyson sphere plane (that's why the horizon is curved), lit by an artificial sun.

I hope this is a participation give away and not something you have to "win." Seems weird to use a casual format promo as an incentive to attend a competitive event.

I've complained about that twice already. The people that Planechase targets are not at all the type of people who have any chance at getting these cards except by eBay.
I just hope that it would be available in the Czech Republic, and the situation with Tazeem will not repeat itself. There was no Planechase release here, therefore, it is impossible to get Tazeem by other way than eBay or shopping from abroad here.

Yeah, I wish they'd promote actual Planechase events and give out plane promos like the release party. The Zendikar prelease idea was OK, as they are pretty casual events, but even then I read about people who just left them on the table or wrote on them for life totals!
It's a shame for people to resort to eBay when stuff like that goes on.

It blows my mind that people just left them on the tables and even used them to keep track of life totals while I frantically searched all around my area and came up empty handed. Every TO I talked to had no idea there was a PC promo plane being made available. I'm still trying to find one locally because I really don't want to have to resort to the 'bay...
It is a plane with a sun in the middle of it as a core. So it is always day and there is no night.
Dyfed first introduced this plane to Yawgmoth in order to prove to him that there are other planes other than that of Dominaria.
Yeah, but I figured that not everyone here had read the Thran, and even if they had might not have remembered Pyrulea as they didn't stay there for long.
By obscure we meant that we know next to nothing about it.
Well, there are places we know even less about - Vatraquaz or Aranzhur, both being mentioned only by name. Not to mention the planes that were introduced by the plane cards in the first Planechase edition (Valla, Ir, Luvion, Kaldheim...)
By the amount of knowledge about the world, it is just a bit less than Equilor or Moag.
The name that goes with the art (published in an article) was spoiled by Brady Dommermuth himself in the Storyline section, btw., some month ago ;).

Oh yeah, lol, I just finished reading that book last month. That's why it sounded so familiar.
And personally I would call a plane that was mentioned briefly in one novel that wasn't even tied to a specific set as obscure. There are a lot of players who don't read every bit of Magic storyline that comes by them. Hell, there's a ton of players who don't even really know Phyrexia storyline.
Either way, looking forward to the card even more since I know what it represents. Any official word on this thing's release yet?

Oooh, so that is what Pyrulea is... I really like these sorts of references to the details which you do know, but just don't remember or didn't pay enough attention to them. And it is also the plane of Horizon Canopy, too... The picture as a whole is quite beatiful, I say. Even though I couldn't put it together without Caranthir's help.
So, the plane itself is nuts and begs for some sort of ridiculous mana investment... Like Helix Pinnacle.
It is a plane with a sun in the middle of it as a core. So it is always day and there is no night.
Dyfed first introduced this plane to Yawgmoth in order to prove to him that there are other planes other than that of Dominaria.
It's also almost 100% the same exact thing as Pryan, a world from Weis & Hickman's Death Gate Cycle. Alternately, there's the theoretical scientific "Dyson Sphere" (mentioned before), which is a man-made proposal, and is probably a good deal larger than a fantasy-based version would be. The Halos of Halo are like Dyson Spheres ... only they're rings, rather than spheres, and are much smaller ... and don't have suns in the center, rather encircling planets and using Forerunner generators to destroy the surrounded planet.
I imagine Pryan was the influence for the throwaway Magic: The Gathering Plane of Pyrulea, as MTG is a big game with a lot of homages to a LOT of great fantasy series. Anyone who hasn't should check it out, it's a pretty kick-ass seven issue series. There's also a water world with a sun in the center and an outer crust of ice ... a rock world with a lava core ... an air world that's suspeneded, floating islands (vaguely Zendikar) and a planet with a mind of its own that rearranges itself as a tortuous labyrinth for the prisoners inside ... (also pretty Zendikar-like).
Lets say I have a Stoic Angel. All permanents will untap during each players untap steps.
HOWEVER! Will all creatures untap during ACTIVE PLAYER's untap step? Or does he only get to untap one? Stoic angel specifically says "their untap step" so I know it's effect will only affect the current player, and not everyone else, but does the Planechase effect override the Angel's?

And it's from Pyrulea? That's pretty cool. One more obscure plane they're referencing.
