i voted name. so we could torture ourselves as to what the card does 2 months before we see the full card.

Yeah, I would recommend voting for one of the lines of text, any of which is most likely to contain valuable information. My reasoning against the rest:

• Names are one of the first things we learn about during rumor season when the orb of insight comes up
• Mana cost can be relevant but only when the other factors of the card are known (and is unlikely to tell us anything about the set unless the cost ends up being :symwg::symrw::symub::symbg::symbr::symgu::symrg::symur::symwb::sym2w::sym2b::sym2g::sym2r::snow: or something)
• Art is kind of nice but we'll likely see the art soon anyway (but, if you insist on the art, at least you didn't pick the artist credit which probably could be determined by the art among other things)
• Type line is very unlikely to contain anything novel (even if it's a planeswalker, we know that there's going to be planeswalkers and have a pretty good idea which ones)
• Rarity tells us nothing unless it's another timeshift subset
• the power/toughness/loyalty are just numbers which aren't important without context (as with mana cost)

I went with rarity. A card off the charts in power level that doesn't seem like it might be rare doesn't need to be. Heck, if it ends up being a staple, it will still be worth a bit in foil ^^

Art, of course. Assuming that this poll does decide what will they reveal to us, it's the most informative option of all. Seriously, the only other options I see are either the lines or the name, but they still don't come close to art.

Honestly when it comes to finding out about new cards finding out who did the art is the last thing on my mind. The name can usually help figure out what the card does.

I picked art because I figured it could help the most when trying to figure out 1) card type 2) color and 3) flavor of Zen.

Name & Mana cost can be determined by the Orb of Insight. Art will probably pop up on Facebook and we will ohh and ahh over it before we know what the card does. Rarity? Does anyone not think a Planeswalker is going to be Mythic? Type? Well in that case might as well get Name, because the name will in all likelyhood contain the type. Loyalty is intriguing but to get a single digit is just too little information - all of this speculation could be wrong if it's something totally out of the ordinary - ala 11 Loyalty or a Single Mana Casting cost.

It seems of all 3 ability lines of a Planeswalker, the most easy to deduce is it's final line and we know it should be in line with something Nicol Bolas would likely perform.

Thus I chose line #2 as that would be the hardest to deduce and might seemingly contain the most text.

Its very most likely a planeswalker. They wouldnt spoil crap .. would they.

In any case.. VOTE LINE THREE. Planeswalker ultimate sounds awesome!

Somehow I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be the new Chandra, so spoiling her art seems kind of fruitless, as we already have it.

Getting her new abilities, however, would be pretty awesome.

I doubt that'll happen at all. It's due to come out October 2nd, with pre-releases on September 26th, meaning we're only 47 days from having cards in hand.

Given time to produce literally millions of cards and then have them distributed world wide, I imagine Zendikar has been 'locked in' for a while now.

On top of that they'd also need to balance the resulting card, likely commission art, etc.

If it were an actual "make the card", as they've done in the past, I imagine it'd have to be for Worldwake or beyond. There's no way we're going to make a whole new card for a set that comes out in a month and a half.

Yeah it probably has to do with a 'walker...vote line three despite ultimate 'walker abilities being somewhat uncompetitive or unusable at times I just want to see the ultimate for no reason.

I had no idea what that poll was about when I voted on it :X but now I get it.....

I assumed this was for a you-make-the-card, but if it has to do with previews, I might regret my decision. Line 2 is probably the best bet, being a more complicated mechanic (line 1 being keyword abilities, line 3 being flavor text).

Eh. but mana cost in a vacuum gives you nothing. If I say the mana cost is 3WW you can't say if its a Baneslayer or Boreal Griffin. Mana cost only means something when compared to abilities. (i.e. Goyf vs Grizzly Bear)

It could be a vanilla creature and all three lines could be flavor text, for that matter.

In truth, I read the poll as implicitly stating that the hypothetical card has three lines of rules text.

This will be a preview card they start this week and continue to give us bits and pieces by day per the % of finish, I.E. Day one will be the Art (which is what I voted for), Day two will be the Name, ect.. until they get to the full card.

That is what I am thinking.

On retrospect, however, I'd do Rarity.

But...because it had loyalty as an option, doesn't that make the card being revealed a 'walker?
Now that I think about it...
So theoretically, rarity wouldn't matter.

Art...why not? Most info possible can be garnered IMHO. That and wonderful conversation fodder if revealed.
