Yes I have been reading the thread. That doesn't address to point I'm trying to make. Why would the source say there were fakes and specifically include April 1st?
If you hadn't noticed, Nise is horrendous at English. Not to mention his blog posts regularly include some strange disclaimers about fakes.
It is a Fake ALL.
Dont Billieve
This is third post
this is trunslated jap to eng.
don't believe all :D:D:D
Sorry I,m not good at the English.
and it is Imagin cards.
dont believe!!:D
And yet he has never, to my knowledge, provided fake cards or bad information. He always says the cards are fake (or at least that's what it looks like - again, horrendous English), yet they never turn out to be. He's done exactly this before and it has yet to stop the info he brings from being accurate (if horribly translated).
While I recognize that Nise has posted correct cards before, and I'm quite sure some of these are correct, the multiple warnings about fakes, speculation, and the April Fool's Day Date make this suspect in my mind. Some of the "well, I'm not sure that seems realistic" can be passed off as choppy translations, of course, but Alara Reincarnated still seems above and beyond the power curve.
People are talking about it in 5CC, where it'll make a big splash. They're ignoring the fact that, as a 5 cost 5/5, it'll be a finisher in just about any multicolor deck. Paid in full (WGRUB) it's effectively a better Progenitus for half the cost.

Cyme we inne frið, fram the grip of deaþ to lif inne ðis smylte land.
I can't for the life of me fathom a magazine including fakes in with its real previews. Except for perhaps a guessing game kind of deal ("5 are real, 5 are fake! Can you guess which?"). But even then, I can't imagine the 'zine being vague about the veracity of the cards it's previewing.
That's sort of what I had in mind (or the magazine mentioned some cards in a jokingly manner but it wasn't clear which card(s) were jokes) but I wasn't clear about that at all looking back. My bad. Another likely situation is that NTM doesn't have Game Japan on hand but rather he himself has a source he trusts but that there is some breakdown in commuication between the two. We should hopefully have this cleared up shortly.
Sage of the Anima 3GU
Creature - Elf Wizard (R)
If you draw a card, instead reveal the top 3 cards of your library, put all creature cards revealed this way in your hand and all other cards on the bottom of your library.
3/4
This card seems like it would be SO insane in any creature heavy deck, as drawing extra cards and filtering cards at the same time is quite good

Quote from Fry, from Futurama »
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
EDIT: I'm flattered that so many people took this post seriously, but we have translations now. Cancel any requests in this post.
With the quality of translation we have at present*, we can't say what the exact mechanics are. "When"s and "As"s and "If"s all run together for most people who produce these spoilers, so it's pointless to try to write "the formal wording."
At best, you can make it look more readable, and write it in "playtest sticker language."
One can, however, give a few card's precisely, as well as "Double cast" (assuming it is legit - as, despite whatever anyone else says, the content of this haul forces me to doubt).
On the introductory blurb though, I'm quite sure that's just a very bad spaghetti translation (probably by Japanese -> English dictionary). If you take into account the alternate word order of Japanese from English, and assume this guy didn't, then the introduction is indeed something like "Do not believe that these cards include any fakes or ones made up by me."
*I would learn Japanese just to be useful around here on occasions like this. But I'm in it for other benefits. Now if I could just get my computer to render these fonts...
EDIT: I suppose the requests in this post are directed at stormcloud17, for now. I saw your translations on page 2, but they contain things I know to be errors, and not just technical errors. So if you could look at the cards again, perhaps with the angle I have given, it'd be appreciated.
So...
エーテル宣誓会の処刑人 (1)(W)(B)
Artifact Creature - Human Knight (U)
First strike
Protection from blue
2/2
Notes: Exact text.
アラーラの生まれ変わり (W/U)(U/B)(B/R)(R/G)(G/W)
Legendary Creature - Avatar (M)
This card has lifelink if you pay {W} to play it, shroud if you pay {U} to play it, fear if you pay {B} to play it, first strike if you pay {R} to play it, trample if you pay {G} to play it.| If you spend every color of mana to play it, it has five +1/+1 counters.
5/5
Notes: You can tell in the original text that the reference to WUBRG is through some nonsymbolic expression. I have guessed it will be "every color of mana," although it could be "five colors of mana" or something like that.
Translator request: If you can identify just the verbs used in this part of the text, it would help greatly:
支払われてい る場合、~はトランプルを持ち、~をプレイするために支払われたマナの色が5つある場合+1/+1カウンターを5つ置いた状態で場に出る。
エイヴンの擬態術士 (1)(W)(U)
Creature - Bird Wizard (R)
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a Wing counter on target creature [who may need to satify other conditions].| Each creature with a wing counter on it is 3/1 and has flying.
3/1
Notes: One needs to know if there is a line break on this card (where I have put a bar, '|'). The mechanical possibilities are basically whether this turns off if the Wizard leaves play.
Translator request: What is the subject of the last sentence of this card? What are any of the Determiners/articles (words like 'the', 'this', and 'a') used in this sentence?
思考の大出血 (2)(B)(R)
sorcery (R)
Choose target player. Name a nonland card. That player reveals his or her hand. ~this~ deals 3 damage for each card [with that name] in that player's hand to that player. Remove cards with that name from graveyards, hands, libraries, and "safule".
Notes: The removal would normally be by a search, but we don't know that. What was 'safule' supposed to be? Cranial Extraction. Blood Oath.
Translator request: Translate the card.
アニマの賢者 (3)(G)(U)
Creature - Elf Wizard (R)
If you would draw a card, reveal the top three cards of your library instead. Put all creature cards revealed this way into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library [in any order].
3/4
"[When you play this], Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a nonland card with lesser converted mana cost than this spell. You may play that card without paying its mana cost. Then put all revealed cards still in your library on the bottom of your library [at random / in any order / --].
Notes: This could trigger on playing the spell, or it could be a keyword action you simply enact like scry.
Translator request: Confirming whether this is a triggered ability seems most relevant. Is there a trigger term here? A 'when'?
Also, "at random"??? I think this was just a misidentification of the phrase "any order" to be one for taking any order without care, but who knows.
As for the spoiler itself, I am *very* angry to see both the WB cost and the :symrw::symg: cost. Probably more at the latter.
Hybrid itself can't be helped. Of course, maybe they could have gotten around it if they weren't spreading themselves into these enemy pairs... How will they find the slots for all ten colour pairs??!?!
It's funny that Nise is messing with you guys and mocking the doubters by using sarcasm, and the very people that he's mocking are biting hook line and sinker by calling it fake because he said so.
Nise has given real information over the past several years and there is zero reason to doubt the info he's provided, especially since it is from a magazine. The only inaccurate info might be the translation. He probably said the cards are fake in order to clean himself of the liability of spoiling the info.
As for the cards themselves, the 5-color creature is awesome and actually pretty good. It will be an expensive chase rare just for the casual and "wow" factor alone.
Does anyone have a link to where this was posted or a full quote or anything? Was anything else said or was that the full post on the matter? I guess it's possible that instead of saying "don't believe me" as a statement, he meant it as more of a challenging question, such as "Don't believe me?! You'll see April 1st!" or something like that. I guess it's impossible to say for sure without actually talking to the guy or reading more about what he has to say on the subject. A few of these do seem very plausible, and a few others just seem...bizarre or broken *cough*AlaraReincarnation*cough*. Right now, I could see any of the following possibilities as being true:
-A few of these are real, the rest are just speculation and/or jokes
-They're all fake
-They're all real (I really hope Alara Reincarnation isn't...)
Assuming that the Avatar isn't some kind of fake or april fools joke, I'd think it far more likely that it's abilities are based on having another permanent of the chosen color in play, rather than whether or not that mana was spent in it's casting cost.
This would also make sense because it would benefit both from having other stuff in play and from having WURBG spent when it was cast (the five +1/+1 counters)
I know Nise is reliable but the 3BR doublecast card just doesn't seem realistic. What is the black for? And would Wizards really make a mechanic which is essentially baby Mind's Desire and also put it on instant burn for easy card advantage?

Yikes! I read over that twice and thought you were just linking to the guy who translated it. I didn't realize that was the guy who posted it too.
I hoped an online translator could make more sense of the initial text about it being a lie and everything, but that didn't help. (I should have known it wouldn't be that easy. :P)
Soooo... Cranial Extraction is back with a little bonus?TAKE THAT DIRTY COMBO PLAYER!!!... o wait there is no combo in standard... TAKE THAT DIRTY JONNY!!
I try to ignore the 5 color monster but no matter how i look at it it just scream 20$+ card!Cmon it goes in EVERY deck with 3 or more colors and if one of these color are blue you won the jackpot, a shroud monstruosity... my wallet already hurt me T_T
I would guess that the player would shuffle the library instead of putting the cards on the bottom, due to the lack of "choice" in the phrasing.
Anybody better at Japanese than I willing to tear apart Alara Reborn's text? Perhaps there's a bit of grammar that I am missing that states that you can only choose one ability. Or maybe (as I have said before), his mana cost is actually all ten hybrid combinations, and it just didn't format correctly while being transferred at some point.
The Avatar can't be cast with any 3 colours of mana - only wedge colours let you get it at 3. Any combination of 4 will do it, and 5 obviously does it.
Think about it for a moment - lets pretend you're trying to cast it with only access to Esper colours. How are you going to pay for the R/ symbol in its cost? Every Arc combination of colours runs into this problem.

Renaissance of Alara mentions 5つの色 ("five colours")... it happens as the card "comes into play" 場に出る
Aven Mimic says... place a wing counter on target creature. If you did, as long as this creature has a wing counter on it, it is 3/1 and has flying
"Safule" means nothing in Japanese or English... the card says "search that player's hand, graveyard and library"
Ah! Thank you. I see I missed the second "5" in 'Alara Reborn'; I made my conclusion based on that.
As for 'safule'... I know it's not Japanese. Why is it there? How did those letters get into the post?
EDIT: Oh, it could be 'shuffle'. Thanks WarhammerIIC.
Sage of the Anima... 全て means "any"
Yeah so that is rendering as tiny squares with Hex code for me... so hunting it down in the original text is a pain....
Ah, and I see your EDIT there. So it's not optional, contradicting gilrad... hmm...
@gilrad: So you say the only 'may' (望む) in the lot is on "Druid of the Anima", by which you mean our アニマの賢者 ? And, you mean other than 'double cast', right?
If there's no 'may' in 'double cast', that really changes it...
EDIT2: @stormcloud17: My bad, I asked the wrong question anyway. It wasn't "any" to seek; it was a phrase for 'order of your choice'. kunbu's post clarifies this 100%.
Double cast あなたがこの呪文をプレイしたとき... means "when you play this spell"
The card really does seem to say put them on the bottom "at random" 無作為の順番... seems odd... I expected 望む順番
... OH I get it.
There's quite a ready chance that someone could make a deck where you double cast and never reveal a valid card. Wizards made it so that you still have a random deck afterward if this is the case.
This allows them to print cards with double cast costing less than seven mana.
... odd how I didn't think of that until your confirmation forced me to work with the idea. Smelly MaRo, theories on creativity being proven right...
*~*~*~
{mikeyG}, should I edit my earlier post with increasingly accurate text... or make new posts? I believe we have the text of 'Aven Mimic'.
Whelp. I sure am glad Wizards knows what they're doing. I love how that WUBRG guy overshadows every other creature in standard. It's Progenitus with Lifelink for half the cost. That simply cannot be real. If it is? I sure picked a ****** time to play this game competetively, that's for sure. At least It'd be a fact that 5CC is the best deck.
