My take was that the knight's title was Ethersworn.
It wasn't so much that I was giving the knight's name as that I was sounding out "エーテル." Giving that I was sounding it out, you're probably right, as "Aether" and "Ether" are similar, and there's more to the card's name.
I can't help with translation, but here's some wording:
エーテル宣誓会の処刑人 1WB
Artifact Creature - Human Knight (U)
First Strike
Protection from blue
2/2
アラーラの生まれ変わり (W/U)(U/B)(B/R)(R/G)(G/W)
Legendary Creature - Avatar (M)
If W was spent to play <card name>, it has lifelink,
If U was spent to play <card name>, it has shroud,
If B was spent to play <card name>, it has fear.
If Rwas spent to play <card name>, it has First Strike.
If G was spent to play<card name>, it has trample. WUBRG: Put 5 +1/+1 counters on <card name>.
5/5
エイヴンの擬態術士 1WU
Creature - Bird Wazard (R)
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a wing counter on target creature.
Each creature with a wing counter on it is 3/1 and has flying.
3/1
思考の大出血 2BR
Sorcery (R)
Name a card. Target player reveals his or her hand. <card name> deals 3 damage to that player for each card with the chosen name. Search target player's graveyard, hand, and library for all cards with that name and remove them from the game. Then that player shuffles his or her library.
アニマの賢者 3GU
Creature - Elf Wizard (R)
If you would draw a card, instead reveal the top three cards of your library and put all creature cards revealed this way into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
3/4
エーテル階級の騎士 WU
Artifact Creature - Human Knight (C)
Exalted
1/3
瀝青破 3BR
Instant (U)
Double Cast (When you play this spell, reveal the top cards of your library until you reveal a nonland card (sorcery or instant card) with converted mana cost less than (or equal to?) this card. You play that card without paying its mana cost. Put the other revealed cards on the bottom of your library in any order)
<Card Name> deals 4 damage to target creature.
It's from a source that has previously been very reliable, so i'm inclined to believe it although the possibility of a fake referenced in the magazine is there.
Gold Hybrid cards- not a huge surprise, after all magic is a game which always reuses and expands on old ideas(split cards, then gold split cards, then mono color split cards) and after all they needed a way to make gold a bit less restrictive to play with for limited.
The 5 color hybrid legend- nice another 5 color EDH general and if you do pay all the colors a 10/10 with lifelink, shroud, fear, trample and first strike is next to impossible to deal with. It's a bit confusing but the minimum amount of colors you can pay for it is 2 enemy pairs + 1 mana from a color which doesn't share a shard with the 2(IE. UURR:symwg:).
The Cranial Oath thing- I really like this card, if you can force it out against QnT or in the mirror match the ability to deal as much as 7 damage and remove all copies of Ultimatum etc. from the game seems brilliant.
I think...Ther Are Two or Three Fake Card.
because I think 9 cards preview is so many.
He is a Liar.
Guys, I think the mythic avatar is a fake unless Nise is just being sarcastic. Seriously, it does not make much sense. It is the same R & D who made Progenitus UUWWBBGGRR and Conflux UWRGB2. It would be broken cause it will single handedly make 5cc the most unstoppable deck against non-counter non-wrath effect decks in standard.
Or it could be just an honest mistake. I remember the last time people thought eyes of wisent was for any spell played by an opponent on your turn..it went up to $7-10 each..Then turned out it was just blue spells..Pity those guys who grabbed a playset of it. I think we should just wait out until its confirm real for that card only. The rest are quite believable except for the Knight too which is just out of the flavor/theme for this set.

He is a Liar.
Based on this, I really want to see the magazine scans before I pass judgment aside from "ew, gold hybrid". In moderation it's okay (like the 2:symrw::symg: guy), but the Avatar makes my eyes bleeeeeed. It also seems like a huge memory issue, even though it's Legendary, and too over the curve for me to willingly accept it.
I think...Ther Are Two or Three Fake Card.

He is a Liar.
I'm quoting this cause I'm not sure people saw it the first time. The source has always proven to be reliable in the past but even here he is a little uncertain. I'll say I too was surprised to see nine cards as I can't recall any one magazine spoiling so many in the past at a time, especially Game Japan which usually has like 3. I just want a bit more confirmation/scans before further commenting on the cards in case the magazine itself is pulling some funny business mixng real cards with fakes or something else is going on.
If I am not mistaken, the previous interpretation of "Including Fake!
Including My thinking Cards.
Don't Bileve ME!!!" was "Please don't think these include fake or imaginary cards."
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
It would be broken cause it will single handedly make 5cc the most unstoppable deck against non-counter non-wrath effect decks in standard..
Don't forget the new Spellbreaker Behemoth or whatever it is. So with that guy out, you couldn't even counter this card. Your only chance would be Wrath of God/Marshal Coup.
I'm going to have to go with everyone else and say that if WOTC decided that Progenitus and Conflux had to have such high costs, this card either must be fake or it's somehow horribly mistranslated. I won't believe this one until I see it.
Has anybody considered the possibility that there is an error in its casting cost? Perhaps instead of a set of five hybrid mana symbols, it is a set of all ten hybrid mana symbols? I think that would certainly make it balanced.

I can't for the life of me fathom a magazine including fakes in with its real previews. Except for perhaps a guessing game kind of deal ("5 are real, 5 are fake! Can you guess which?"). But even then, I can't imagine the 'zine being vague about the veracity of the cards it's previewing.
There will be pictures everyone, so be patient. The double strike hybrid mutlicolored creature is really interesting. I hope we get a lot of those styles someday.

Given how out of place the hybrid cards feel, how broken some of them are, and the very notable placement of

makes this scream of a rather lighthearted and clearly noted April Fool's joke being taken entirely too seriously by us here, thanks to translation issues. I read the disclaimer as "Hey, here are some cards - some are fake, some I made up, some are real"
I hope the the 5cc guy will have some reminder text that will clear (aka, make it less balls to the wall broken). This card will be hard to deal with, but not impossible. Remember the Outlander cycle? Right in that cycle you have 3 cards that could deal with this guy indefinitely - Zombie Outlander, Vedalken Outlander, and Goblin Outlander.

Yes I have been reading the thread. That doesn't address to point I'm trying to make. Why would the source say there were fakes and specifically include April 1st?

Ah, taking a look at [url=http://magiccards.info/cfx/jp/26.html]this[/card], I will say that it is Ether-rank Knight.
No.
My take was that the knight's title was Ethersworn.
I assume Exalted.

That being said, I really don't like the Avatar. It seems to take hybrid from its original sleek design to an incredibly inelegant, clunky amalgam.

I Disagree. The card can win games by itself, as long as you have WUBRG. It also has SHROUD. and if you put it with Spellbreaker Behemoth and Spearbreaker Behemoth...
