You compare the abilities of 2 combined enemies (RG) to the abilities of only one colour (U), but you should compare it to an allied pair like UW or UB These got the removal(PtE,terror) for you to not make this a 'gg'.
Doesn't your blue (and ally) Zombie Outlander say GG to green in just the same way ? They've got no way to kill it, block it, remove it, etc.
But it's just a 2/2. Green can race it. The ubiquitous trample goes through okay, over protection.
Great card anyway, indeed makes a blue caster worried about this combined with banefire soon to hit standard decks together ^^
Combined with Banefire... tch. Banefire is fine. I got no problem with Banefire. With the damage prevention ability, it's all well and good that it's "unstoppable dragon fire." Okay.
But this... they always go and print the Gaea's Herald. And make it uncounterable. I'm supposed to count my blessings that it doesn't have shroud?
MEh. I guess I just wait until I see the UB precon, then.

I thought it was cool that not only does this guy have the exact same p/t and casting cost as Rumbling Slum, but the art is very similar. Both of the monsters are similar shape and are depicted in a very similar stance. I wonder if it was an intentional homage.
The card is pretty meh to me. It will never see play.
In T2 his ability is irrilevant, and i'm sure there are better card to play than vanilla 5/5.
In the other format it's just too slow. We can pay 2 for 5/5 that fly and vanilla 5/6, or 3 for unconditional 5/4.

You are very mistaken if you think this card will never see play in a competitive deck.
Zoo could be very viable after this set or the next (when L/M/S/E rotates).

I'm bad at magic, you're bad at magic, and Level 4 Pro Ari Lax is terrible at magic.
Amazing. Even on it's own, it's a powerful creature to break through control. and 4 mana for a 5/5 just makes it even better. And I really enjoy its flavor text. Epic lulz.
Wow! I'm seriously amazed by this, I remember all the hype and excitement over Rumbling Slum when it came out as a 5/5 for 4 with a drawback which also hurts your opponent. But Spellbreaker Behemoth is the same 5/5 for 4 but with all upside both being uncounterable itself and making all your other fat creatures uncounterable.
This will have value, it will see a fair amount of play, at the very least this makes Cloudthresher uncounterable(even when evoked) and that's brilliant against Faeries. All round good card not to mention the pretty nice art as well as the amusing flavortext.
I can't be the only person delighted with the absolutely horribly unfunny flavor text. That's my favorite kind of flavor text, long-winded explanation followed by bad pun that just falls flat. No joke. This is my favorite flavor text since Caterwauling Boggart.
What pun? I don't get it. Could someone explain this?
I could care less about "No" Command. I'll stick with my PtE resistant Flyer, thank you. Although, I'm still going to say that I hope people play this card, I encourage it. It's presence will force control to rely more on creature removal than countermagic to keep fatsos off the top tables. In doing so that helps my questionable matchup by making my dragons more likely to be effective against the control I actually have to worry about, and the prospect of playing against the card makes me happy about my Shriekmaws and Deathmarks becoming *gasp* playable again. Who'd have thought black removal still worked in such a hideously flooded white environment? With Colossus on the decline thanks to it's pro-black ability losing relevance almost entirely in the face of THE DIVINE HOLY ORDER The environment so far seems to have only improved for my favored strategy of choice. Viva la Jund ramp!
...Oh fine. I guess I might put a couple in my board against swans just in case
(P.S My apologies for any perceived troll attempts in this post. I mean no offense, I'm just still a little bitter at being forced to sell my demigods after seeing the conflux spoiler. I may have pet decks, but as a spike I must forego them in favor of keeping my win streak up, albeit grudgingly >__>)

After thinking about this card all day and reading through here I am pretty sure it is a great <zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz> Oh, I fell asleep. Yawn.
It doesn't excite or repulse me. It is a MehSack to me. On the other hand, what a strange choice to put in an intro-deck. Are counterspells even used by people who are attracted to precons?
I hope that cards like this make the 5-power theme viable as a tourney option,
not because I would play it, but because I love when people incorrectly declare cards as bad.
In all seriousness, I really like this card. It's pretty in power.
Maybe we'll get a :symr::symg::symw: Tarmogoyf in this set to promote the theme?!
Not really, just kidding.
Why is it that Blue's enemies are the only colors for which Wizards allows cards to see print that, against their enemy, actually say "I win" ?
I dunno. Why is Blue the only colour for which Wizards allows cards to see print that say "I win" against entire blocks?
In compensation for this idiocy, I demand that Cryptic Command be the new standard power level for counterspells. I didn't want to do it (I was just talking to someone about how Cryptic is fair as the singular pinnacle of blue permission magic today and going forward), but R&D has forced my hand.
I demand a pony.
Last I checked, Blue's been at the top of the heap since Kamigawa block with a brief hiatus during Ravnica during which it was...gasp...average. I strongly doubt that this is the end of Blue and even if it is I can't bring myself to shed a tear. Three whole blocks since the beginning of the game in which Blue wasn't #1? Horrors.
We will have to see if any 5 power or higher creatures are printed in reborn that draws my attention. With what's in the format already I'm not too terribly excited about the card. But that could very well change, we will see.

Must be the card they were hyping the main site as being "OMG THAT ONLY COST 4?!?!" when they did the interoffice AlaraReborn preview. I just hope there is a cycle!
My thoughts on this is it give a boost to R/G and Naya Aggro against midrange and control elements. The fact that Wrath has been taken to a much lower number in most 5CC decks mean a dependency to counter the larger drops. If they can't be countered...well it could be bad for them.
SO lets say, he plays Spellbreaker, and next time he goes to play say wolly thoctar, could it be bounced with cryptic then counbter thoctar with the second option?
I'm very impressed with this card. Congrats to R&D for pushing the power level of counter-countermagic lately, between this Guttural Response and Vexing Shusher, you can definitely make a dedicated anti-counterspell (casual) deck. Cool.
I think not with the same Command as everything would happen (simplifyed) at the same time. So you would return and counter at the same time, so I think you would only return the Spellbreaker and Thoctar doesn´t get countered, but I might be wrong.
But its absolutly viable to bounce spellbreaker with lets says Boomerang and counter it with Counterspell.
That still means they have to devote a lot more resources to deal with a single threat.

Wow I know I'm late to the party, but seriously that is sick.
5/5 for 4 is nothing to shake a stick at, even in and evironment with lots of counter spells. Considering that these are in the intro packs, it seems that they are putting more and more good stuff in thier precon decks too.

a small sentence for you to read while you ignore my post.
Strangely similar to Rumbling Slum, eh? Slum is only a mediocre card, never seeing competitive play that I know of. Slum was essentially 6/5 in the right deck. This guy is 5/5, sometimes with a bonus, sometimes vanilla. I don't predict it doing much to the game, although Timmies like me will want a copy for their "giant creatures to step on your face with!!!!" decks.
He'll be a pain in casual games, but hard to say how big a mess he'll create in constructed. Like it's been said, anti-counter doesn't mean anti-control.
But it's just a 2/2. Green can race it. The ubiquitous trample goes
