We now have the 'Key Selling Points' Document for Alara Rborn. This document circulates to all WoTC retailers and is mainly intended to provide basic information of the set / size offerings as well as marketing support for organised release events.
Alara Reborn is solid gold! Multicolored or ‘gold’ cards are among the most popular set themes, and every single card in Alara Reborn is gold. It will be the first set in the history of Magic: The Gathering to be 100% multicolored.
So that means that there will not be any good mana fixing in this set for limited? dam, limited is going to tough, I guess you will have to get your mana fixers from your conflux booster:argh:

a small sentence for you to read while you ignore my post.
This is going to be the most fun draft pack EVER. It will either be the most difficult or the easiest. Either way, you can virtually kiss single color draft decks goodbye for the near future. I hope this set makes gold cards viable for the next Core Set.
And the five 2-drop Protection creatures have now become HUGE.
Who says that multicoloured lands can't exist? And coloured artifacts already exist, so why not multicoloured? Mind you they would look silly...
There is no good reason for it...
At any rate, there is so much fixing in ALA and CON, I am sure there will be just as much in ARB. Basic Landcycling isn't necessarily gone, you know. (Just because cards cost 2 or more colors to play doesn't mean they cycle for the same...)
There is really no reason to put lands in ARB...the slots for lands are full up in the previous two sets anyway.
Hilarious comment from last night's FNM draft (We do ALA CON CON, which I personally hate) "There was nothing good left in the pack so I took fixing"

um multicolored artifacts would look silly? um, please tell me you've played any ALA or CON... as far as multicolored lands go I almost hope they don't do it. it'll be lame to force the gold theme so hard as to just arbitrarily makes lands colored (and multi-colored). if they ARE gold/colored there better be a better reason than they are in ARB...
Yeah windwright mage, sphinx sovereign...there are already gold artifact creatures so there will be gold plain old artifacts probably.
Yeah going mono color in this limited format is almost impossible not to mention a horrible idea because you want multiple colors unlike in shadowmoor where you just drafted red deck wins all the time or lost to the red deck.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
No lands, no hybrid, and everything is gold. I wonder how the lack of 1-drops in this set will affect the environment. It certainly makes those "CIP tapped" lands more appealing in limited.
Generally when cards are multicolored, they have a slight power increase over something monocolored, and moreso when it gets to a 3rd color.
(A card that costs :1mana::symg::symw: is usually slightly better than a card that costs :1mana::symg::symg: / :1mana::symw::symw: which is usually slightly better than something that costs :1mana::symgw::symgw:. There are notable exceptions, but the rule holds true more or less.)

Just a thought, as cycling was mentioned above, maybe we'll see multicolor cards that have a type of cycling for 1 which can be used on turn one.
Sad there won't be any lands, but this will be very exciting!

However, dealing with what we have right now, shouldn't we mine this document for more info?
We can lock these facts:
1.Planeswalkers are confirmed for ARB (Alara Unbroken informaiton)
2.Gravity packs are not (as yet) confirmed for ARB.
2b. ARB apparently will be sold in a given range, 6 Card booster pack is not listed. (Line 2 in product offering.)
3.Articles on MTG.com (abrv) are more PR worthy than they let on.
Less of a "lock" on these facts:
1. "It is the FIRST set in the history .... to be 100% Multicolored"
---> Does this mean another 100% Multicolor set is in the works? (It would say ONLY set to be multicolor. )
Also:
Why on earth are boosters and blister packed boosters the same price?! Shouldn't old-style boosters be at least 5 cents cheaper, and not blistered?

I don't see any confirmation of planeswalkers for ARB. The novel info says "planeswalker characters introduced in the block".
1.Planeswalkers are confirmed for ARB (Alara Unbroken informaiton)
That's a wrong statement. There is absolutely nothing that even hints at PW being in ARB, the less them being confirmed.
I guess that you have seriously misunderstood the novel info. We know that it introduces PW characters from the block, not from the set - remember, this book is NOT tied to Alara Reborn, but to the block as a whole. The PW characters mentioned are simply Sarkhan and Ajani, and we know this for like a year - about Sarkhan since the very first article about the planned changes, and about Ajani from the cover and Amazon blurb.
EDIT: Sarnath'd by a compatriot, I see.

Also, as for the 6-card budget boosters, it wouldn't be listed because it's only available to specific retailers, so I'd assume whether it's made is dependent on whether or not Target, Walmart, etc. want more.
Why can´t there be hybrid mana? Aren´t they considered "gold" too?
Also, wasn´t it MaRo himself who stated that we will see hybrid mana costs sooner than we think because he sees it as a tool and not a block mechanic and wants to reuse it a few times before the next big hybrid block?
1.) No, they're not considered gold cards. They are a separate type of multicolor card entirely.
2.) Just because he says we'll see it sooner than we think does not necessarily mean we'll see it in Alara Reborn.

I believe that also means no hybrid, since those aren't gold

Meeko will now refer to the time when MAGIC entered the "beginning of the end step".
Magic 2010.
If you wre talking about the shards block then yea, but in the history of magic, there was transguild courier and reaper king

Draft is already hard to mana-fix if there is a shortage of obelisks and creature mana fixers early on.
1
Naya Dude
~ is Red, Green and White
1/1
seems like that is a gold one drop to me...
A sort of pseudo-1 drop is still possible. To wit:
Crazy Goblin BR
Haste
You may pay R instead of paying ~'s mana cost.
If B was spent to play ~, it comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it.
1/1
And they could also do something lame like this (not that I think it's likely):
Lawnmower Elves G
~ is white and green.
T: Add W to your mana pool.
