This is probably the worst signature in the history of signatures.
I'm glad to hear that these will be back in circulation again! It's impossible to find anyone who wants to part with them at a reasonable price. Maybe this will drive their prices down toward the APAC land range? I need more windmills on my plains...
I'm going to be buying a booster box because Shards is gonna be drafted for the next 8 months or so. Seems great that you can get something extra for it. These are the same as the last print of Euro lands, I assume? I mean, just like they distributed the FNM left overs, these are most likely Euro Land left overs? Anyway, why complain when you're getting something for free?
I'm not sure what they're worth, but I'm interested in one of each picture of the Euro lands (15 total). For anyone who gets a Euro Land booster and is looking to sell/trade them, please PM (see my sales list for other cards I have).
Are these lands so much sought after? Didn't know that! Still, I think it's a bit expensive to pay €85,- for a box to get access to 5 lands.. Anyone knows what price these things fetch?
Although a windmill on a plains would be funny, seeing that I'm from Holland

1 pack of euro lands today runs for about 25 bucks. So basically if the price holds and the market does not flood with them, each box you buy would be getting a free 25 dollars worth of cards.
You can see the prices on eBay quite a few just sold for 25 bucks each.
I can't think of a reason to re-release these..now, or ever.
My guess is, they're trying this as an experiment to see what sort of profit can be generated..
They've figured out that fancy lands are an extremely reliable way to get people to shell out $. Barring utterly stupid archetypes, every deck out there needs lands. By extension, every pimped deck out there needs pimped lands. Hence, a sort of auto-demand exists..
If this goes really well, I would not be surprised if we start seeing similar things like GURU lands in new frames or something... Eh?
Guess I'm more important and they sent me the email first to put it here on Mtgsalvation!
25 bucks per pack!? That's quite a lot! Too bad there is no confirmation yet if these are the old ones or new ones.
Off-topic: my website from my banner is having quite high loads. Too bad for those Americans it's completely in Dutch Perhaps I should translate it in English, but then again, the shipping of guinea pigs to America could be a bit problematic..

I just wish they would release something like this in a more available form. I think there are plenty of players out there that would be willing to buy something like this as a regular product, not a free promo with the purchase of something else. I certainly would. But it's not worth it to me to buy several boxes, because I don't want them as collector's items; I want them to play in my decks, so I'd need a lot more than just one of each.
That's the Wizards idea to get more people to play basics Because, you know, once you have them, are you just gonna keep them in the binder?

I love the Euro land that is of a Plains with tulips on it from a while back. And I was also a big fan of the APAC lands when they came out. The Plains that had a field of sunflowers on it was pretty cool. I'm hoping these lands are just as cool.
This promotion resembles me something... yeah, exactly the same one 8 years ago I bought my box of Invasion and received 1 pack of 5 Euro Lands then. Still got a couple of them.
Edit: maybe not exactly the same promotion - 1 difference - This time it's a one of the 3 packs randomly chosen, back in 2000 it was the first pack for Nemesis, 2nd for Prophecies and 3rd for Invasion. But it also confirms it's going to be the same Euro Lands as back then.
But it also confirms it's going to be the same Euro Lands as back then.
It confirms nothing, there is nothing more confirmed than what I posted. But it sure sounds like the same ones. It could even be that there are 9 different packs total, 3 different ones for Shards Of Alara and 3 for Conflux en 3 for Alara Reborn.
How can we make sure our store is getting that promotion? Does anyone know?
We can't... At least not now. Until they give more information, we don't know. Ofcourse, you can always ask you local shop owner and ask him if he can check at his distributor

looking at those, they look just like old MTG lands.
nothing new, nothing special, nothing real worldy, nothing europy, just plain old boring old style magic basics.

why would I want the boring real world on my cards?
Because the art for many of those lands was very nice, better than many normal basic lands thats for sure.
Unless you only ever want exotic looking fantasy basics, there were some nice, unique looking basics in those Euro lands.
