Red is about freedom, even for others; it believes the best world is one where people do what they feel, and if two people are in each other's way, let 'em sort it out how they want. Counterspells are the purest shadow of this desire, they are to strip someone of choice, appealing to an objective source that says what should and should not be done.
Saying 'should' and 'should not' is the start of evil, in Red's eyes, because it is the individual who must define what is important, to enjoy his own life. It's the subjective and the objective.
Red will never, ever use counterspells. It will oppose them with hatred, just as surely as Green will always hate artifice.
The art in question, I think, looks like a sorcery or Aura... empowering a creature, but it will die soon, burning out.

Counterspells are Blue. . . . Red will never, ever use counterspells.
I realize that normally, counterspellsareblue. However, the "sacrifice card advantage for immediate gratification" side of FOW is very red, and a counterspell could certainly be made to fit red's "mess with other people's stuff" flavor.
Additionally, red counterspells are not totally unheard-of.

Fa - ce - tious - ly: The only English word with every vowell in order.
Why should blue and red share everything? They share the best creatures. Morphling. They share the best creature pinings, prodigals. They share creature bouncing. Do they also really have to share the best counterspell of whole magic?
Red is awfully powerfull with the stolen mana acceleration from black. Red need to cool out. As a whole color and for there stupid tribe. The Goblins.

hey i have managed to evolve my axolotls by feeding them thyroid glands the thyroxine contained in these gland is enough to change these water dwelling creatures into land based creatures

Tay, that's not evolution. It's metamorphosis. Evolution means descent with heritable modification – individuals cannot evolve, unless they're Pokemon.

I really want the frog on the bogarts head to be there for a reason. Like give him psychic powers. I know, I know, putting a frog on your head to get psychic powers sounds super silly, but it really would be great if he believed the frog actually gave him that power. Silly goblins.

I am probably the only person in the world that collects Tarnished Citadels. Not because I like the card, but because I don't want someone to get his hands on one and then attemp to actually play the damned thing.
I think people need to realize that Planar Chaos is over.
Concerning the frog, I'm sure it's there for some silly boggart superstition, and maybe maaaaybe it will be referenced in the card text or flavor text.
Maybe it's folk medicine. If toad can give warts to you, then where does the TOAD get its warts?
Answer: When Boggart straps a frog to his head, his warts will move to the frog, changing it into a toad.
And did someone say that the boggart is female? So transferring warts to frogs might be a form of cosmetics!
I'm liking all the art except for number 3, the boggart are just plain ugly. Number 2 the flamekin is one of the cooler arts i've seen in any set for a while, fantastic flaming effect.
I need that second flame-kin foil.
That fairy jumping into the elf's ear looks like a milling card (note similarities to scalpelexis)... maybe that's what the faeries do in this block... I hope so.

With all, put the same thing except with / in front of what type of tags they are (like [/card]) to close them.

Unfortunately, the first thing I noticed when looking at the closeup of Ashling is that the flame from her right foot looks just like a fart. It definitely ruins the art for me.
The pose in the second picture is awfully reminiscent of Force of Will. I'd be surprised if it were a creature.
Anyone want to lay odds that the boggart is a beautician? She has warts all around the toad, and it fits the theme of goblin professions.
The Fae is nice art, but I can't say I'm thrilled with the whole "fairies as mosquitoes" thing.
The merrow art is not pleasant to look at, and it ought to be. There's nothing there to identify with, considering the expressionless, alien face, staring straight at you. It's vaguely threatening, and I'd be surprised if that's supposed to be the idea. Also, stupid clothing.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'

You beat me to it, although I was gonna say she musta had some bad beans...either that or Elemental Menstrual Cycles are the scariest thing ever.

OMG!!! Im so loving the flamekin's art. If they create the flamekins mechanics right this set will be one of my favourates. the Fae are looking awsome to, merror are looking cool, not as cool as the fae and flamekin or even the elves. Boggarts are funny ^^ their annoying toad goblins, just the way their suppost to be. This set has so much potential lets hope it lives up to it.
P.S. I love the way that flamekin show red chotic gracefulness.

I especially like the Giants depicted in the first series.. they really look "Fee fie fo fum" to me I enjoyed such stories in my childhood.
The boggart art is funny but very well executed, I don't mind the toad at all.

Well, FOW's alternate cc does fit red's "future be damned" philosophy. Also, red is the only color without a counterspell in Standard . . . .
Counterspells are Blue. Counterspells are 'almost' White. They are so surely White and Blue, because they emanate the message "No." (also: "Inadvisable." "Foolish." "Think." "Stupid." "Pointless." "Give up." "Impossible." and "Never" )

Destructive Will :1mana::symr:
As an additional cost to play ~, discard two cards.
Counter target spell.
Incedentally, if it does get named "Destructive Will", it will probably be friends with Temporal Eddy.
