Today I received a rubber brain in the mail from wizards of the coast. On the top of it, the words "Glee max at wizards dot com" are printed backwards... In other words, it says "MOCTODSDRAZIWTAXAMEELG" on it. It took me a moment to think of what it might mean, because there were no instructions with it and no other letter or enclosures in the box. I assume that anything "at wizards dot com" would be an email address... So I shot gleemax an email, but no reply as of yet.
I attached two images of the brain. I don't have a clue why they sent it to me. Anyone know anything about this? Anyone else get one? Could this be something to promote an upcoming Un-set, or maybe it has something to do with the recent City Champs beta season? Or perhaps there is something far more sinister behind the rubber brains being mailed out by wizards of the coast... *Feels urge to buy more MTG*
They're probably like Willy Wonka Golden Tickets... you'll get a guided tour through Wizards, but will be kicked out when you steal valuable product secrets.
However, one of you will not steal secrets and show true courage, then you'll be able to fly around the sky in an elevator that goes more than just up an down... and then you'll inherit Wizards with your crazy uncle Joe.
Do you have any idea why Wizards would send you something like that? Have you worked with them in the past? Do you go to a lot of tournaments? Do you do the whole player rewards thing?
Some of you may have been in shock since we invaded Canada and Mexico, but fear not, it was for a good cause. Now that we conrol North America, we produce an extra 5 armies a turn.^_^
It doesnt look right. I think it is fake. The picture on the left just look cgi, which It might be and everyone knows that, and the one on the right just looks off.
For those crying fake, it's quite possible that these were manufactured in Texas (by cheap immigrant labour) and just shipped from there with the return address of who would be the proper contact, rather than to manufacture them in Texas, ship them to Washington, and then do nothing with them there but mail them out. Sure it could be fake, but that's a perfectly reasonable explaination for the shipping discrepency.

Could be fake. I dont see why someone would fake it, but it could be.
As for the shipped from Texas for the cheap labor... Thats also possible, but it doesnt make sence. China has the market cornered on cheap labor making Rubber Brains with cheap silk screens, and Seattle is one of, if not the biggest shipping port on the West Coast, which is RIGHT next to WoTC.
I'll give it a tentative fake.
edit, never mind, Ben confirmed it, I stand corrected.
edit 2, I think that we will be getting Un3 this year, I have a feeling that Wizards is actually taking the Un sets out of the Block Rotation Schedule (as in it wont count towards the 4 sets a year), which is smart, since they arent Standard Legal. I cant wait for the lands.
Ben, Gleemax is a card from Unhinged I think. Maybe Unglued.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.

This is real - I can confirm that we received one at Star City Games today - but what does it mean. What....is Gleemax (the rubber brain?)

Anybody thought that maybe UN3 could be the "sandwich" set we keep hearing about (of peanut/butter/jelly/sandwich fame)?
In that thread someone posted an official release to promoters/store owners or some club I dont remember the specific recipients, anywho it says that Lorwyn will be a 4 set block.

And that page was initially created by a "Teeuwyn". A user search there found the name Teeuwynn Woodruff, and Google informs us that such a person is an RPG designer for Wizards who also worked on 7th edition.

That has never been confirmed by anyone yet, that is just a rumor.
Whatever it is, I'm sure MaRo is reading these threads laughing his butt off right now.

The ask wizards is about an unhinged card today.
Dry up, O Sea.
Burn out, O Sun.
Grant us power Earthly Leaders and Gatekeepers of Hell.
Guide us Makers of the Underworld.
I was wondering that myself. And, no, that is not the usual way a package is shipped (i.e. different return adress than postal stamp)

But he works on the Hecatomb game?
And: WoTC ships stuff via Grand Prairie TX:
