that sliver is ballbreaking. tutor out a sliver? it can break a game from your hand and its not like it can be easily countered. good god.
It can be countered, just like any other Sliver. You can't play the ability from your hand, so it's not a tutor; the next Sliver after it is. If they counter the Homing Sliver the fun's over.
Wow, as a big sliver fan myself, this card opens up a lot of interesting possiblities for me. I love cards like this, because they make me think a lot.
I really hope that this card can cycle itself, because then it would be awesome.
Now Legion Sliver's templating makes sense. It only pumps "Sliver creatures", as opposed to Sliver cards in hands!
No. It still makes no sense.
This card does make sense, but the other does not.
Slivers cannot exist anywhere but in play.
Anywhere but the stack and in play, they are sliver cards. On the stack, they are sliver spells.
The wording on Legion still makes no sense.
"If I do go to heaven, I'll smack god across the face and tell him to get me a grilled-cheeses sandwhich and then say 'Yea what now god!? Say some'in! I dare you!' "
Shouldn't it also have Sliver Cycling? See the Flash sliver for reference...
Not necessarily. In hand, the card is nothing but a card. Sliver creatures have and grant their abilities to other Slivers, including themselves. Flash, I suspect, is a matter of timing when the Sliver creature can be played, and therefore is okay to put on the card.
Um. Not to sound like a downer, but...
Why in the world is this Sliver red? I can think of some very thin excuses for it, but wouldn't this card fit better in green?
I agree. Red is impulsive and selfish. Sacrificing (creature) resources for long-term planning, or the strength of the team, is white or green.

Uh... the flash sliver has flash and when in play gives slivers in hand flash - creautres or not.
This gives slivers in hand an ability it does not have itself, gives them an ability in hand that didn't have in hand itself. It breaks the cycle.
Funny, I'd be more entertained if they had Transmute 3... maybe if we're lucky they'll be a cycle that gives them:
Slivercycling - Red
Madness - Black
Transmute - Blue
Forecast - White
basiclandcycling - green?
If costed more aggressively than this one, it'd be cool.
haha. I hope you get more cards cause this storyline is hilarious. I can already guess where it's going in some parts. as for the card, slivers are getting pumped like crazy. I guess they have to since the earlier slivers took out much of the simple design space. this card with conspiracy is a little nuts. you can throw in those 2 akromas and when you have your gemhide out and enough sources BAM! I'll cicle out an akroma to run you over with all his added abilities. 5 slivers (one is legion, one is gemhide), 5 lands. cicle into akroma and now you have a 11/11 flying, trample, haste, vigilance, pro red, pro black, can tap for any color, and 3 other abilities depending on which slivers are out (heaven forbid one is fury!) hive stone works, but you can't cycle into it.

MADNESS AND CYCLING!!! PLEASE GOD NO! that would just be wrong. lol. sooo wrong.

I see what you're saying, I'm just not sure I agree where that cycle is. Is the cycle about sliver creatures granting abilities to other slivers, or sliver cards granting abilities? See, flavorwise, if this cards had Slivercycling on its own, that wouldn't make as much sense to me. Why would a sliver's card have a special ability not granted to it by being a creature, or by some other sliver being a creature? It's not a sliver, it's a piece of cardboard. But Flash, flavorwise, makes sense to me because it is how a creature comes into being. So, if the cycle is in the flavor of slivers, Homing Sliver not being able to cycle itself makes sense. If, as you're implying, the flavor is in the mechanics of slivers, then yes, it probably should have slivercycling.
Of course, we don't have the full card yet, just a note on a doorstep, so this discussion is partly in a vacuum.

Since when where slivers supposed to be this good? This and the poison sliver both look like absolute bombs.

With all, put the same thing except with / in front of what type of tags they are (like [/card]) to close them.

Sliver cycling, interesting if true. But each card in each players hand seems unlikely(although great for the person playing against a sliver deck wanting to fetch dormant or plague sliver).

They would need a sliver to fetch dormant or plague.
It says sliver card, or at least if it's true that's what it will say.
But Hydro, it's been splattered all over the walls and everything is covered in scrambled colour pie! There is no outside the colour pie anymore! /Random comments
Ontopic, this sliver is probably going to be in any decent sliver deck playing red. You might as well play 4 of these and one ofs for each other sliver. Maybe multipes of others for a bit more consistency.
Elspeth "we must fight to protect order and justice!"
Tezzeret "No! he will break all my artifacts and stomp my head!"
Vol "powerful dragon must be brought to heel!"
Ajani "**** this Im outta *planeswalks to lorwyn* wow what hell is this place?"
Little lorwyn goblin "this be the place of bad art and Tribes!!!"
All other Alara planeswalkers "hey where did ajani go???"
This sliver is nice, not groundbreaking, but nice anyway. It might make for decent trade rubbish.
In the other hand: Hunter; if your stalking girl starts melting away to reveal a non-disclosure-talking-lawyer or somesuch, run and don't look back.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. This makes sliver themes viable even against mass elimination. I don't know how viable, but moreso than before.
I think that we have now one of the best sliver in the Timespiral block, a 2/2 for 3 which can search other slivers for 3 colorless mana. No need to play green for Congregation at dawn, survival of the fittest or Eladamri's Call anymore...
i agree. i even think this makes red more then just just a splash color for haste (please dont even bring up that green haste sliver) in my sliver decks.

I'm working on an Un- set with some friends. Along with Slivers, it currently includes the following:

Sliver bidding.
Get fluccuator out, cycle your slivers all day long and then bidding them back into play.

Perhaps because this is the future? Red can have anything WOTC wants it to have in [FS] it's one of their only chances to do it too.

Each Sliver card in each player's hand has Slivercycling 3.
