And Ferret forgot that Psychic Possession falls off as well.
5/1/2006 Enchanting an opponent works very much like enchanting a permanent. The Aura spell targets the opponent. When it resolves, it comes into play "attached" to that player. Once it's in play, it no longer targets that player.
From the official rulings on gatherer. Sorry. You almost outsmarted a rodent.
Pretty Boring Card I havent seen anything that really sells this set yet... Everything seems to defensive for white. Bitter Ordeal and Summoners Pact coolest I have seen.
I'm not to sure that this guy is going to stop ext storm, it's not fast enough. But as for standard I can see it being played as a demonfire/disintegrate counterspell. Not sure it has much potential outside of block and T2 though. Wierd art... can't tell if I hate it or love it, but it is different.
With out a gigadrowse, it's quick enough for most games. In response to the storm you play him. The first Dragon will have to deal damage do its controller, then the second one will have to figure if it wants to hurt the controller more or the other dragon and so on and so forth. It can put the person who stormed into a really bad position where a char or psi-blast can kill him next turn. Ouchie
For what it's worth, this card hardly does anything at all to stop Dragonstorm. You stop the Hellkites from targeting you... so they kill all of your creatures and swoop in on the attack next turn. Short of holding a Wrath, that's not much use to you.
Uh, they choose targets before the ability goes onto the stack. If they choose to kill your creatures, you obviously don't play the Tiger.
But regardless, you're going to need Wrath to win. Well, or you could Condemn 1 dragon and hopefully you have enough creatures to win the game with next turn after they try to alpha strike for 20.

Cyme we inne frið, fram the grip of deaþ to lif inne ðis smylte land.
A long time ago, I started a desert theme deck for the fun of it. Deserts, Camel, Desert Nomad, sand storm, etc - anything to fit the flavor of desert and things related to them. This could be really cool! It would be interesting to have 'sand covered lands' and create new landy-sandy abilities.
~Patrick
I just think it's funny that we're talking about a sequel to Arabian Nights - a set based on a book about Persian mythology (not WotC's fault originally, but they did opt to keep that name, right?) and the culture / ethnicity we're talking about for the sequel is Egyptian.
Arabian =/= Persian =/= Egyptian. It would be like following up a U.S.-themed set with a Mexican-themed set and finishing it up with a nice Phillipines-themed set.
Ah well, they all live in the desert anyway, right? (Actually they don't, but whatever... players will never notice!)
This makes Dragonstorm want to run three Hunted Dragons in main, maybe? Because opp would want to flash this dude in in response to the first Hellkite's trigger, then the other three copies get three 6/6 dragons with no drawback thanks to pro getting rid of the token generation. That way they lose if they don't have a wrath. If they do you still have hellkites to draw into. Interesting will need to be tested.

No, this gives you protection from chosen color, allowing you to shed enchantments, it does not give you untargetability, which would mater here, as pretaining to the "No longer Targets" clause.
You almost outsmarted the guy that outsmarted the rodent.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.
it's nice to see the player getting some respect in the protection category. I like it. And at 4 it's a pretty good deal for both a pro-color and 3/3

Its better than Dawn Charm in most situations (as Ferret outlined, vs storm or just big strikes against you).
So its always a Fog (if their creatures are the same color).
Its always a Hill Giant (with Flash)
And sometimes it will be a counterspell or uber-storm-counteringspell.
He didn't say if your creatures attack. He said if YOU attack. Like, if your opponent has only red creatures in play and you wanted to punch him in the face, he could pick up one of his creatures and try to block your punch with the card. But if you give yourself protection from red, he can't try to block your punch with one of his red cards because you have protection from red.
I'm quite sure you just made my day, sir.

I think the point there was that you'd be drowsed EOT against you anyway, so you wouldn't be able to pay for something so expensive, which is valid.
Cool card! I'm a cat fan, for sure. The artwork is fun and pounces off the card. As for the effect, I've got a deck that runs a few Dawn Charms that I'll probably replace with these. Nifty card. Maybe it's time I ran UW deck with only Flash creatures, counters, and removal... never playing anything during my own turn but lands.
so if your being enchanted by psychic possession and gain pro blue from sehts tiger, does psychic possession go into its controllers graveyard since its no longer enchanting anything or does it stay in play doing nothing?

momentary blink is going to be veeeeeeeery popular after Future Sight comes out. Just with Yesterday's and today's cards already gives fuel to a cool archytype. I'm sure that we'll be seeing a lot of momentary blinks in the future

Remember DEBT. Protection from foo means one cannot be:
Damaged by foo objects. Note that this is a prevention effect, so Excruciator laughs at your cat. Enchanted or equipped by foo objects. If you are already are, they fall off. Auras that aren't enchanting anything go to their owner's graveyard. Blocked by foo objects. Since players can't attack (according to the game rules and DCI floor rules), this one doesn't do anything. Targeted by foo objects. Something targets if it uses the word target, or if it's an aura being played on you. If a spell is played targeting you and then you gain protection from it, when it resolves the spell is now no longer targeting you and if you were its only target, it's countered.

Thanks for solidifying my point. Possession will fall off and go to the graveyard if you have pro blue.
Definitely impressive. An Egyptian set (Or Mediterranian as a whole) would make sense. Thats really the one area we havent seen.
Maybe a little thing of the Major Cultures of the Mediterranian? (Or, Age of Mythology).
You're forgetting Native American mythology. We've seen a few but not an entire set (I don't believe). Especially the Central and South American Native Americans.
so if your being enchanted by psychic possession and gain pro blue from sehts tiger, does psychic possession go into its controllers graveyard since its no longer enchanting anything or does it stay in play doing nothing?
When State Based Effects are checked, the game will see that there is an Aura not enchanting anything, and it will go to its owner's graveyard.
just so people know, MaRo himself said yesterday, if you like a certain card, they will expand on it since all of the future shifted cards are 'possible futures' ALA much like the x-men's 'days of future past' storyline. so, anything you like, like them know.
on that note, tiger's are seriously undershown in magic.

Once you have cloudstone curio out, you might as well use a cheaper creature than whitemane lion, though there's no denying the lion and the tiger work well together.
What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.
