we already know about the Vineyard, but man we have another chase rare in this set. The wish is a sure fire staple silver bullet card. Perhaps we will see WUG Silver bullet decks or something. Of course, I kneed to see what multicolor hoser there are, but outside of that it sure is good.
[card=Dismal Failure]"Two magi could trade spells all day and never crown a victor.
The real battle is not one of power but of will.

Anyone catch this statement by FLores regarding the wish: "We've seen Wishes that can nab instants, sorceries, creatures, and lands already. This card can still do that (well... not the lands, maybe)..." IS he telling us that there is a land and the land is multicolored??? That would be so spicy.
this Wish is great and sooo versatile. but mostly i'll use it to get the glare or a putrefy.
this makes me wonder if they're going to put "gold" cards in Xth...
Well since its not futureshifted kinda an odd print if you ask me. I mean print this with ravnica leaving giving us only a few months of those together.
I hope this means some more good gold cards are coming somehow. Even if everyone says that Lorwyn is some mono-color block.
Just thinking of how I could shove this in the ultimate toolbox deck... battle of wits.dec
Probably more trouble that it's worth, since most Wits decks are U/B or occasionally U/B/w. I doubt its worthwhile to shove green in there and neuter your sideboard.
Wowzers, second tutor for Wild Cantor in one set, if we had a good one for Enduring Renewal we would really be in business. Alas, GBW control is back - Debtor's Knell, Loxodon Heirarch, Mortify, Putrefy, Teneb, etc.
Magus- we knew it already and man does it have ugly art.
Glittering Wish- truly a golden card(pun intended), GW/x decks gain a great tutor and even in just GW the amount of targets is huge and includes useful things like Harmonic Sliver for a disenchant effect and Mystic Enforcer vrs black decks and don't just think about gold cards remember the split cards and all of the hybrid cards which share even one color with G or W are fine too.
My eyes just exploded; that's how awesome those two cards are. I was a bit skeptical at first about Magus of the Vineyard. Turn 2 Solifuge just seemed too good to be true! And that Wish! Boy, don't you all wish that the Ravnica block could stay for a bit longer? See, this is what previews are supposed to be like; get us psyched for the set, not with boring cards like previous years.
Hate to break the train of gravy but I see the wish and think: Hype! Ravnica is rotating in just a few months. More importantly: duals are rotating in a few months. W/o duals, exactly how are you to cast your multicolored spells? Because running a toolbox means having silver bullets. Silver bullets that don't come in the same color combinations. Which in turn means having a mana base that supports pretty much 5 colors. Some of them, in doubles (triples!). So unless 10th has those duals inclued, the wish will become pretty unplayable outside G/W aggro (Project X also dies with Dissenssion rotating). Compare to the other playable wishes, which were not only splashable, but fitted nicely in any deck that happened to play their color. And compare to Damnation, which fits pretty much into any color that supports the double black.
As for the Magus... WTF!!! Eladamri's Vineyard is the most representative green enchantment?! What's next, white magus is going to be Magus of the Ghostly Prison?
Am I the only one who gets the feeling theres going to be more then one wish in this set?
If not from the flavour text alone "She Wished For Gold, But Not The Strenght To Carry It"
It just seems like something that would be repeated in various forms in a card cycle. Like I could see a wish that fetches lands or something that would say something along the lines of "She wished for adventure, but not the courage to complete them" or whatever.
Either way, It seems pretty cool. I mean everyone loves wishes, right?
Yay! They finally gave white a wish that's useful! And it's in one of my fave color pairs! Good news.
This is good to get situational creatures that your opponent would find hard to deal with, such as Phytohydra against a burn only deck or a Mystic Enforcer against a deck with black removal..
Of course, it also gets Hierarch. It can bring Orzhov Pontiff back for a second go too.

Uh... it's a continuation of the flavor text from OD, much like the text on Sphere of Purity.

Well that depends, Wizards is either giving us a cycle(I am not sure how this card fits in a cycle, but I'll play along) or they are giving us a taste of a cycle, so we may have to wait for more wishes.

It's not futureshifted.....so I would think that "if" Wizards included a cycle it would be there.
B/G/w will get a bit stronger with the wish........Time to dust off my Heirarchs.
Seeing this on g/w makes me sad. Indeed MaRo hates blue...this is a direct slap in the face. Harhar.

The Vineyard art is quite nice - odd, but nice.

living wish already fetches lands
Well you know what I mean, if not lands, something else. Other things that haven't already been on a wish.
